It Might Be You, My Darling [Volume One Completed]

Which SECRET will you keep for the rest of your life? She wakes up without a recollection of the other night's event. Krishna was horrid as realization hit her one morning. She had a one-night stand with a stranger! Why did she end up in the bed naked, pain searing all over her body, and no sight of her companion last night? As she could not comprehend what happened to her, memories of last night disappeared without a trace, whereas memories from the distant past resurfaced and muddled her head greatly. ‘What is going on? Why do I remember nothing, but I could recall some events during my childhood?’ What mystery surrounded that night, and she could not fathom being in an unfamiliar place without recollection? ~ “I want you to break up with him!” said the dude, who appeared out of nowhere. ‘The audacity of this man?’ She was pinned to the wall, and the crazy guy yelled this in her face. “What are you talking about? Do I even know you?” she snapped, glaring at the stranger. ‘Who is this guy? I don’t know him at all!’ She only wanted to enjoy the vacation she won over the lottery. However, she was being attacked by gorgeous men out of nowhere! “Who are you?” another man who blocked her in the hallway asked. “Huh? Isn’t I the one supposed to ask you this question? Who are you? I am certain we have never met before.” Even though she snapped at him, the man seemed confused by her answer. “Is that so? Then? Why do you keep appearing in my dreams?” Krishna was rendered speechless. ‘I thought this joke was outdated! Someone has still had the thick face to use for advances!’ I think I’m going crazy one of these days! First, I was mistaken for someone’s mistress. Now, I am somebody’s girlfriend. Maybe tomorrow, I will become someone’s wife. Great! How ironic would that be!? ~ Chapter Release Schedule: TUESDAY - THURSDAY - SATURDAY (This book is under massive editing.) Too Late For Her

George glanced at the woman seated in the passenger seat before his eyes fixed on the road, steering the car out of the resort's gate. "Krishna."

He called her out, but he received no response. The woman remained in a daze, falling into deep thoughts, and her body exuded a gloomy aura, making the atmosphere dense.

'Is she sad because she didn't have a scrumptious breakfast?' George asked himself. He saw the glum emotion written on her face, which made him slightly guilty. 'Isn't she must be grateful that I am helping to manage her career? Someone other than me should handle her diet. But I put effort into it because she is my baby mama.'

George's complaint in silence, unbeknownst to him, the concern running through Krishna's head.

All he assumed was that she was upset at him after he didn't allow her to eat the Mediterranean cuisine Rowan had specially ordered for her. Now she was ignoring him and give the cold shoulder.

Having this thought, George is irked, while Krishna is unaware that the man behind the wheel misjudges her behavior.

She is lost in thought because she finds comfort in self-reflection and positive thinking. She has realized that there is no place for heartbreak and regret in her life.

'What I better do now is to save as much money as possible until I have enough. Then I would no longer sign a new contract.'

Good thing that the contract would only last for three months. It was a trial contract Anna offered her.

She was uncertain whether she could meet Camilla sooner, so she gambled on having at least enough time to look for her; in which if the agreement were stated as one year, she might not accept it as she doesn't want to be separated from her son for a long time.

On the one hand, Camilla's suggestion to move here is such a temptation that she almost agrees. 'Maybe if my newfound career had better results, I might consider.'

As the black supercar exited the resort's main gate, Rowan's gaze lingered with clouded emotion wrapping his head.

He stood by the window, having an inexplicable feeling looming in his chest, wondering why George suddenly became attached to Krishna.

Supposedly, he must join them and visit Anna's store together. However, George instructed him to stay in the resort and continue to question those mercenaries that had attacked Krishna.

He does not understand because, in the past, Stella was the only woman his brother allowed to stay by his side. Therefore, when Florian asked for a divorce, immediately, George returned to the Graham Chateau to comfort her, at the same time, persuade her. However, Stella had only her eyes and heart for Florian.

Now? What is going on?

'Is George finally giving up on Stella and deciding to move on?'

Having this conclusion broke Rowan's heart. "Why is it Krishna of all the women I meet?"

Somewhere in the city….

A black Bugatti shot along the skyway. As the car approached, other drivers carefully moved aside to avoid any potential collisions. Not only did they want to avoid damaging the expensive vehicle, but they also wanted to get a closer look at one of the most luxurious supercars in the world."Cool!"

"I wonder who the owner is?!"

People were thrilled to film and share it on social media. Within moments, thousands of internet users watched the car with admiration and jealousy, and some even recognized the vehicle.

Those familiar with the car are the tycoons who managed big companies but could not afford to purchase that kind of car and only admired it silently.

"George Graham showed off his car."

"Yeah. I will do the same if I want to attract a gorgeous woman to become my girlfriend."

"Oh, are you talking about the woman he is with just now?"

"I wondered where he met her. I have never seen her before."

"You're right. If she was from high society, we should have met her in the past."

"Yeah. But I could not recall any gatherings and banquets where this girl also attended."

"Maybe she is a gold digger who can climb the ladder."

"Oh, well…"

They were snickering as they were excited about how long this woman lasted and George would grow tired of her.

'I must have tasted this woman since she succeeds in seducing someone like George Graham! She must be great in bed since George took her in!'

Most of these men had vulgar thoughts.

Dillion, exiting the cafe, caught everyone gossiping about his boss. His mouth twitched from disgust that these known CEOs actually love to mind others' business.

'Tsk. They were just jealous of him. He was wealthier and had a gorgeous baby mama of his son.'

Some of these tycoons had beautiful girlfriends because they underwent plastic surgery.

However, Krishna was all pure. She is a natural beauty; even though his boss would not admit it, he is attracted to the former. If he hadn't, would he sleep with her back then?

He witnessed what had happened that year.

His boss was actually disgusted with women who showed initiative. Although he grew up on the Western continent, he is actually a traditional man.

The traffic was heavy as they reached the center city. Surprisingly, George was calm, tapping his index finger on the wheel as he mulled over how to lighten the glum atmosphere.

He has been stealing a look at the woman beside him, but still, there is no change in her sitting position. It was like she was glued to her seat.

'Is her anger at me that extreme?' Until then, he continued to believe that her silence was because of what happened over breakfast.

'If it was another woman, they already did their best to fawn over me, praising my car and flirting with me. But this woman did not seem to appreciate my car at all.'

George grumbled inwardly when Krishna jolted from her seat, which he noticed instantly.

"What is it?" He wasn't sure when he became sensitive when it came to Krishna. At that point, he realized he was paying much attention to her. 'Is it because he is my baby's mama?'

Since he was inquiring about her, Krishna was forced to look in his direction. She was a bit nervous; thus, she nibbled her dry lips.

Thanks to her red lipstick and exquisite makeup, it would not be visible that she paled a little due to the low temperature of the car, which the crazy guy failed to notice.

"Um… My phone vibrated." She was in a trance; hence, it startled her when her phone suddenly vibrated inside her purse.

"Are you cold?" asked George, casting a quick glance at his passenger. Krishna's voice was slightly trembling. Judging by how thin her clothes were, she probably felt cold.

Krishna noticed how George scanned her from her neck to her exposed legs.

'It's my fault for forgetting to bring a coat. So I can't complain and asked him to minimize the temperature of his car,' she thought before she replied to George's question with a forced smile. "I'm fine…."

Seeing the stiff smile on her face, he isn't convinced that she is telling the truth.

Krishna was staring at her phone immensely; thus, she didn't notice that George pulled over to the side. When the guy got out and walked around, he held something in his hand when he returned to the car.

"Here so that you would not feel cold."

Krishna was startled when George suddenly leaned over. But when she realized he was only planning to wrap her with his cashmere scarf, her cheeks turned red.

Meanwhile, after putting the scarf around her neck, George froze when he saw the photos on Krishna's phone. "Is he…"

Krishna lowered her gaze and forgot that she was currently looking at the photos Verna sent to her. She wanted to hide it, but it was too late for her. George had already snatched her phone.

"Hey!" She bit her lower lip when she could not take her phone back.
