It Might Be You, My Darling [Volume One Completed]

Which SECRET will you keep for the rest of your life? She wakes up without a recollection of the other night's event. Krishna was horrid as realization hit her one morning. She had a one-night stand with a stranger! Why did she end up in the bed naked, pain searing all over her body, and no sight of her companion last night? As she could not comprehend what happened to her, memories of last night disappeared without a trace, whereas memories from the distant past resurfaced and muddled her head greatly. ‘What is going on? Why do I remember nothing, but I could recall some events during my childhood?’ What mystery surrounded that night, and she could not fathom being in an unfamiliar place without recollection? ~ “I want you to break up with him!” said the dude, who appeared out of nowhere. ‘The audacity of this man?’ She was pinned to the wall, and the crazy guy yelled this in her face. “What are you talking about? Do I even know you?” she snapped, glaring at the stranger. ‘Who is this guy? I don’t know him at all!’ She only wanted to enjoy the vacation she won over the lottery. However, she was being attacked by gorgeous men out of nowhere! “Who are you?” another man who blocked her in the hallway asked. “Huh? Isn’t I the one supposed to ask you this question? Who are you? I am certain we have never met before.” Even though she snapped at him, the man seemed confused by her answer. “Is that so? Then? Why do you keep appearing in my dreams?” Krishna was rendered speechless. ‘I thought this joke was outdated! Someone has still had the thick face to use for advances!’ I think I’m going crazy one of these days! First, I was mistaken for someone’s mistress. Now, I am somebody’s girlfriend. This Is Too Tiring

I couldn't sleep all night thinking about what pushed Camilla to do such a thing.

But I couldn't ignore the fact that Florian was both handsome and successful in business. This might cause Camilla to develop feelings for him, even though he is already married.

Eventually, no one knows better than me that Camilla would never lower herself, such as being someone else's mistress; I conclude that what she is doing now is intentional.

I remember when we were in college. One time we attended a birthday party of a college classmate, and we went to a bar.

Then a woman attacks someone else, claiming she is the wife. But the guy chose his mistress and treated his wife like trash. With that, the mistress becomes complacent. She beat up the wife as the husband just watched her doing it.

The wife looks pitiful. At that state, Camilla couldn't stand it anymore. She bought the fight of the legal wife and beat up the mistress. Now, that pitiful wife is our best friend.

Camilla despises all the mistresses in this world.

Then why did she become one?

Last night I tried to contact her again, but to no avail; my call did not get through, nor did Camilla reply.

Camilla seems like she has vanished from the world.

Today, I woke up early to speak with Florian when his wife was not around. However, how could I talk to him when all I knew was he was staying next door?

Is it suspicious if they saw me knocking on the door and looking for him when his wife was there?

There is no way I can openly talk to him about Camilla. If I had his contact, I could invite him for a coffee.

However, it was impossible to ask this crazy guy right here for his cousin's contact when he accused me as a home wrecker, a mistress, and a gold digger.

None of his accusations were true, so I never got hurt by his insults. Instead, I'm only worried about my best friend.

Once Mr. Crazy George discovers Camilla is Florian's actual mistress, not me, I wonder what he would do to her.

"Hey!"

My train of thought was interrupted when someone shouted at me. I return to my senses after a finger-snapping close to my face. 'This guy!'

"What do you want? Should I move to another hotel? That's fine with me." Frowning, I spoke out lazily. I added, "I will pack my things now."

I would rather stay in a cheap hotel than share a presidential suite with this crazy man. However, when I was about to reach the doorknob of my bedroom, Mr. Crazy George grabbed my arm and roared at me.

"Dream on! Like I will allow you to be alone with Florian!"

"So, are you telling me you are guarding me?" I snapped, but then Crazy George snorted.

"Correction. There is a difference between guarding and monitoring. I am keeping an eye on you 'cause I know you will act pitifully to get Florian's attention."

"Florian and I have no relationship!" I don't want to explain myself over again. But this man's imagination is massive. "You can even ask him if he knew me! But you will only get embarrassed because we didn't know each other!"

I wish I could beat this crazy man until he becomes a pulp!

"What do you think of me? A fool to do that? It was you who was stupid! Of course, Florian will deny that he knows you! Do you think hell chose you over Stella? Stop dreaming!"

I became even more angry when Crazy George sneered and insulted me again.

I had reached the limit of my patience and was about to slap him when I heard the sound of glass breaking downstairs.

'Who is it? Is there anyone else other than this crazy man right here?' I am curious; thus, I gathered my strength and pushed the crazy guy. I ran to the stairs, and it surprised me to see another man in the kitchen, wearing a red apron and picking up the broken glass on the floor.

"Rowan?"

"Hi!" Rowan lifted his head when he noticed me. He flaunts his perfect teeth, accompanied by a gorgeous smile, and I almost lost my heart when it suddenly jumped out of my chest.

"I'm glad you're awake now. Breakfast is ready." Rowan added, and my jaw dropped, seeing how much food filled the table.

"Did you prepare all these dishes by yourself?" It was a guess. I looked at Rowan, waiting for him to nod, and he didn't disappoint me.

I truly wish he was one of those perfect guys who knew how to work in the kitchen.

"Don't give her any food." Before Rowan could reply to me, Crazy George sounded behind me.

During my time with Rowan, someone was constantly in a bad mood, which ruined the moment. I gave the person a sharp glare when he took the head seat at the rectangular dining table.

'This guy!' I have this desire to shout at him that this is my hotel suite. However, he already slapped me with the truth that his company was one of the major sponsors of this vacation.

Last night, I texted Jerry and asked if he knew the surname of the guy we saw in the mall parking lot.

Jerry sent me several articles explaining the Graham Empire. And I discovered that Florian Graham is the Director of Empire Airlines, the plane that brought me here. No wonder they gave me a business-class seat, which I was well-attended throughout the flight.

It was the first time I was out of Europe and flew to Asia, so I was nervous. When I visit another country, I usually take the train or go on a road trip with my friends, their spouses, and my fiance George.

Ah, the memories...

It's been two years, so I must forget George.

It's just that he promised to marry me after I graduated from college. But we had to postpone it for some reason, and again after another year, until he didn't return...

Having a sudden flashback, I shook my head to bury the thought in the back of my head. There is no use remembering the past, as it will only break my heart.

"Are you okay, Krishna? Is your stomach uncomfortable again?" Rowan sounded next to me. I looked up at him, and his curious eyes met mine.

I'm happy he spoke; it helps me return to my senses. "I'm fine, don't worry."

It filled the room with an awkward atmosphere. Gladly, the silence tore down when the doorbell buzzed. Rowan and I shared a curious look in our eyes. But Crazy George absolutely is not happy with his life.

"Go and open it!" He ordered me. 'Such a domineering man!'

"It's okay, Krishna. Allow me to open the door." Before I could take a step, Rowan volunteered. "You should sit and have some soup. It's good for your stomach."

I could see that George and Rowan have the distance of north and south polar behavior. While the older brother is grumpy, the youngest is a sweet soul.

"Thank you, Rowan." A bright smile flashed on my lips before I strode toward the table and sat down, ignoring the man casting a sidelong glance at me.

I'm starving, though. I could care less about his opinion of me. As my gaze swept all the dishes, I couldn't help drooling. With just one look, I could tell the breakfast Rowan had prepared was sumptuous. The pancake he made wafted through my nostril, and I couldn't wait to fill my stomach with it.

I hurried to pick up my fork and poke one pancake, but Crazy George's stern voice stopped me.

"I thought your stomach was upset? Did the doctor advise you to eat that?"

I glared at him and countered, "So what?"

It surprised me when Crazy George just laughed. Undeniably, he's as gorgeous as Rowan. He leaned over, and it caused my heart to beat crazily.

"You didn't see a doctor because you were only lying. You only made excuses because you couldn't stand seeing Florian with his wife. This may be one of your antics to get his attention. However, how poor you are. Florian didn't come, right? So why don't you accept that you are just his pastime?"

What he told me made me rendered speechless. Every minute I spend with this guy is getting ridiculous. I wish my gaze were daggers. Then this guy has long been dead.

Nonetheless, I could not expose that my best friend is Florian's real girlfriend, and it is not me.

Now I'm curious what his reaction will be after finding the truth. Well? When that day comes, I will laugh my ass out.

Playing a scenario in my head improves my mood. I didn't listen to Mr. Crazy George but ignored him like a mosquito. I filled my plate with food to annoy him.

I was about to dig in when a couple joined us.

"Hi, good morning!" A sweet voice echoed in the living room.

With the shock that struck me after realizing who it was, I accidentally swallowed the entire chocolate macaron.

Cough!

I'm trying to soothe my throat, but the tea I found close to my plate was too hot, which burnt my tongue.

And instead of helping me, Crazy George is only laughing at me. I glared at him. But his next move shocked me.

It was never in my wildest dream that he would hand me a glass of water and gently pat my back in such a situation.

I thought his conscience finally struck him, the reason he was helping me. However, I was wrong. He only does this to mock me!

"This is what happens to greedy people."

He found a reason to chastise me again. I wanted to explode out of irritation, but losing my temper had no room at this moment. Our guests entered the kitchen, so I didn't retort to George but quieted down.

"Aw, the two of you look cute together!" The sweet voice sounded behind us, followed by a click of the camera. "George, Grandma would be over the moon once she saw this photo!"

"Don't you dare send the photo, Stella! Delete it at once!"

The couples who came by were Stella and Florian! 'Now, what should I do?'

I peeked at George; he looked too pissed when Stella did that and even teased us. She sounded like we were a couple, and I know it was what angered him. Mr. Crazy George kept shooting a warning look in my direction, and I understood what message he was trying to convey to me.

He wants me to behave!

'The audacity of this guy! It was he who misunderstood this whole thing! Ugh! This is too tiring!'

But this may be my chance to speak with Florian, and I hope he will tell me where Camilla is.

I must talk to my best friend and advise her to stay away from a married man. And it would be great if I could drag her home!

"Hi! I'm Stella. So you are George's girlfriend?"

I was in the middle of my thoughts when Stella approached me. I didn't see it coming when, all of a sudden, she hugged me warmly.

Thus, I am forced to smile and introduce myself. "Hello. My name is Krishna."

"Beautiful name! If I did not follow Florian even though he didn't want me to be here, I would not get to meet you! His parents would be happy now that their son has a girlfriend!"

"I…" I was out of words to correct Stella with her wrong assumption. I look at George to explain that everything is untrue. He hates me, so I know he will deny it.

I couldn't understand what he was thinking. He had a serious expression, but his eyes held a gentle and affectionate look.

'What is he doing?!'
