It Might Be You, My Darling [Volume One Completed]

Which SECRET will you keep for the rest of your life? She wakes up without a recollection of the other night's event. Krishna was horrid as realization hit her one morning. She had a one-night stand with a stranger! Why did she end up in the bed naked, pain searing all over her body, and no sight of her companion last night? As she could not comprehend what happened to her, memories of last night disappeared without a trace, whereas memories from the distant past resurfaced and muddled her head greatly. ‘What is going on? Why do I remember nothing, but I could recall some events during my childhood?’ What mystery surrounded that night, and she could not fathom being in an unfamiliar place without recollection? ~ “I want you to break up with him!” said the dude, who appeared out of nowhere. ‘The audacity of this man?’ She was pinned to the wall, and the crazy guy yelled this in her face. “What are you talking about? Do I even know you?” she snapped, glaring at the stranger. ‘Who is this guy? I don’t know him at all!’ She only wanted to enjoy the vacation she won over the lottery. However, she was being attacked by gorgeous men out of nowhere! “Who are you?” another man who blocked her in the hallway asked. “Huh? Isn’t I the one supposed to ask you this question? Who are you? I am certain we have never met before.” Even though she snapped at him, the man seemed confused by her answer. “Is that so? Then? Why do you keep appearing in my dreams?” Krishna was rendered speechless. ‘I thought this joke was outdated! Someone has still had the thick face to use for advances!’ I think I’m going crazy one of these days! First, I was mistaken for someone’s mistress. Now, I am somebody’s girlfriend. Maybe tomorrow, I will become someone’s wife. Great! How ironic would that be!? ~ Chapter Release Schedule: TUESDAY - THURSDAY - SATURDAY (This book is under massive editing.) On A Date Today

Krishna mustered her strength and pushed George. 'I did not agree to be his official girlfriend yet!'

"Why did you kiss me?" She asked him, glaring at the guy as she wiped her lips violently.

George peered at the woman, throwing a murderous glare.

He stifled a laugh that even enraged her. Now, her eyes were glowering with annoyance because of what he did. He watched as she covered her lips and kept glaring at him fiercely.

'Now you finally realized I was around!' As he mused, George curled his lips into a teasing smile.

Krishna frowned. "What?"

"To wake you up." After a while of silence, George replied with a nonsense excuse.

Krishna was agape upon hearing his answer. 'What does he mean to wake me up? Did I ever fall asleep during our trip?' She contemplated, then shrieking inwardly. 'I was wide awake! How ludicrous this crazy guy is!'

"I'm not sleeping!" She denied.

Disappointed, George pulled his body away from her and then resumed driving.

'If you were not sleeping with eyes wide open, why do you act like I am just a robot out here? Are you blind somehow? No one had resisted my handsomeness!'

He was carrying his chair. That's absolute. On the one hand, he didn't understand why he was upset with her for unknown reasons.

What exactly was on his mind was that at least Krishna would speak to him—even random stuff.

It is much better if she fawns over him, praises his car, or shares her worries—anything like the party tomorrow.

'Is the money I transferred to her not enough?'

While driving, George continued grumbling throughout their trip.

Oblivious to him that Krishna was too hungry, the reason was she was not in the mood to talk.

All she was thinking at that moment was for them to arrive at his house so she could grab some fruits to munch while she fixed some lunch.

Finally, they were now entering the resort's Arch Gate. From there, they will have to travel several miles at most before the main entrance to the Ocean View Country Club.

As they passed the front gate, Krishna noticed more security guards stationed than when she first arrived.

However, even though she was curious, there was no way she would ask the crazy guy if the reason was because of last night's incident. The last thing on her mind is to spout something, which, to him, is none of her business.

Moreover, she doesn't want to assume he does this for her.

Having those thoughts, Krishna actually has the wrong presumption. If only she could read someone's mind, she would already know that the guy wishes her to talk to him, even about trivial stuff.

Perhaps she could talk more about their son — it was what George hoped.

Right now, he only takes everything slow. He didn't want Krishna to suspect why he was itching to know more about her son, so he restrained himself from questioning her.

Remaining silent on the passenger seat, he noticed Krishna leaning over to the dashboard and peeking outside the window shield. Then she looked at him with bright eyes as she assumed their destination.

"I thought you had some documents to take care of?" She asked this question to quench her curiosity.

But she didn't want to be disappointed if she looked forward to it; thus, she did not mention whether they were truly going to that place.

George then took the right curve when the way to the Country Club was straight ahead. Now, they were slowly descending the hilltop.

"It's lunchtime. Can't I grab some bite before I deal with my work?" Saying it coolly, he did not make it obvious.

Although George did not say it directly, Krishna's eyes twinkled with delight. The former curled his lips, then faked a cough to wipe off the amusement registered on his face.

Krishna was told by Benny that there are only two directions in this private resort once they enter the Arch Gate: the Ocean View Country Club and Seaside Resort—all owned by the Young Lord George Graham.

Armed men heavily guarded the entire premises, whereas the sniper team had the right to shoot down those who were seen sneaking to enter the property without invitation or clearance in the Arch Gate.

'Quiet scary.' It is what she thought as she listened to Benny's quick explanation this morning.

She must know these basic rules. But it would be best if she had knowledge of all the information she must follow now that she lives here.

Krishna looked outside the car window, which George slowed down to give her a better view of the breathtaking scenery.

She could now glimpse the Seaside Resort below, where several buildings interconnected to each other, erected on the coastline.

'So him being wealthy is indeed not a joke.'

She stole a glance at the man in front of the steering wheel. She had been hearing how wealthy he was, but she only shrugged because it had nothing to do with her, even how rich he was.

Now that she sees it with her own eyes, she can fully comprehend the word "wealth" in George's name.

"The ocean looks magnificent! It was so blue!" Krishna uttered gleefully. Her eyes fixed on the countless sailing boats and yachts anchored in the vast blue sea.

Seeing the glimmer in her eyes when she stole a look at him, George wasn't happy at all.

After seeing all his collections in his garage, she never commented about it. She didn't even look thrilled upon riding in one of the most expensive cars in the world. But now, the woman overpraises the ocean.

He believes that if it was another woman, she couldn't stop herself from taking a selfie and flaunting on social media that she was on the ride with him.

It didn't take long, and the car gradually went downhill to the Seaside Resort. When they enter the gate, Krishna has a better view of the whole place.

The resort had several buildings that looked like a mansion. The car proceeded, taking a circle through a connecting bridge.

Krishna did not expect George to give her a quick tour around the resort, whereas the guests could not retract their gaze from peeking at the striking supercar passing them.

Most of the guests in the resort were elites from every industry. But the car that passes by before their eyes is something they have to think about first before purchasing one.

After a while, George drove toward the main building and parked at the entrance.

"Mr. Graham!" Michael Yu, manager of Seaside Resort, scurried when the car made it stop at the entrance.

George got out of the car. Then he walked around the other door and opened it. Manager Yu did not blink when he saw the former help a woman get out of the car.

He had already been the manager of this resort since it opened. However, his boss never brought a woman, only when his mother and grandmother — the older ladies in the Graham family — visited him.

"Thank you," Krishna uttered her thanks when George opened the car door for her. But it didn't stop there. He also helped her get out of the car by holding her hand, using his right hand, while the other placed it above her head to not bump into the car roof.

"Hello, sir." Manager Yu bowed courtly again and announced, "Your table is ready, Mr. Graham."

His boss had already notified him earlier that he would have lunch at the resort; hence, he was standing by the door, waiting for his arrival. He thought he was an important business partner he was bringing over.

But never, in his wildest dream, will his boss be on a date today!
