It Might Be You, My Darling [Volume One Completed]

Which SECRET will you keep for the rest of your life? She wakes up without a recollection of the other night's event. Krishna was horrid as realization hit her one morning. She had a one-night stand with a stranger! Why did she end up in the bed naked, pain searing all over her body, and no sight of her companion last night? As she could not comprehend what happened to her, memories of last night disappeared without a trace, whereas memories from the distant past resurfaced and muddled her head greatly. ‘What is going on? Why do I remember nothing, but I could recall some events during my childhood?’ What mystery surrounded that night, and she could not fathom being in an unfamiliar place without recollection? ~ “I want you to break up with him!” said the dude, who appeared out of nowhere. ‘The audacity of this man?’ She was pinned to the wall, and the crazy guy yelled this in her face. “What are you talking about? Do I even know you?” she snapped, glaring at the stranger. ‘Who is this guy? I don’t know him at all!’ She only wanted to enjoy the vacation she won over the lottery. However, she was being attacked by gorgeous men out of nowhere! “Who are you?” another man who blocked her in the hallway asked. “Huh? Isn’t I the one supposed to ask you this question? Who are you? I am certain we have never met before.” Even though she snapped at him, the man seemed confused by her answer. “Is that so? Then? Why do you keep appearing in my dreams?” Krishna was rendered speechless. ‘I thought this joke was outdated! Someone has still had the thick face to use for advances!’ I think I’m going crazy one of these days! First, I was mistaken for someone’s mistress. Now, I am somebody’s girlfriend. Maybe tomorrow, I will become someone’s wife. Great! How ironic would that be!? ~ Chapter Release Schedule: TUESDAY - THURSDAY - SATURDAY (This book is under massive editing.) Not Belong To His World

The frown on Krishna's face deepened. She thinks the guy has been shifting personalities recently. Still, it surprised her that the once hostile and cold man could be a teaser like this, not to mention his thoughtful side.

After putting on some clothes, choosing a halter bodycon dress and a pair of low-heel pumps, Krishna applied light makeup and let her long hair rest on her back.

George need not remind her to get dressed for only a short time, as initially, she did not dress up much; thus, it only took a little while to finish. But she was now sporting some known brands. As an endorser, she has to maintain a pleasing look.

"Sometimes, I regretted signing the contract. But every time I counted the figures wired to my bank account and remembered how they helped me buy everything my son George needed, I could not be timid but push myself forward and learn how to be a professional. Besides, Anna and Godmother Donny had trust in me. I can't disappoint them, but I'll do my best."

As she stared at her reflection in the mirror after she had put on some makeup, Krishna comforted herself to have the courage to continue this job.

For now, she could not be picky at all. Moreover, once in a blue moon, an opportunity falls on someone's lap.

Having these thoughts, she completely calmed down. Then, forget what had happened this morning when she and George made out. "Ah…" Her face was like a rotten tomato.

Krishna went downstairs after she finished styling her hair into a ponytail. Initially, she just wanted to let it down, but she realized she must put a little effort into her image.

In the dining room, the four men seated at the long table having breakfast looked up simultaneously when they heard footsteps approaching them.

Krishna didn't have a catch to their expressions as she was engrossed in replying to some comments on her Instagram post last night.

A few dropped her a private message, but as she was unfamiliar with the modeling industry, she took screenshots and forwarded them to Donny. Now, Donny has become her image adviser, helping her deal with those not so trusted companies wanting to collaborate with her.

"Ahem!"

She would remain standing at the dining room entrance, typing on her phone, if it weren't for someone coughing to get her attention. As she heard the obvious cough, just then, she sensed burning gazes shooting in her direction.

As she looked up, pairs of eyes gazed at her with admiration, except for one seated in the main chair. That man looked displeased with her choice of dress for the day.

At that, her cheeks turned scarlet red. She put her phone away into her purse and dashed to the empty chairs next to George, where a set of plates and cutlery was arranged neatly. She had guessed that it was reserved for her.

"I'm sorry to make you wait." She took the initiative to apologize. She wasn't looking particularly at someone, but her words were meant for George. The guy warns her to take less time to get dressed. But she took over an hour to choose a perfect dress to wear today and then applied some makeup.

After her apology reached Dillion and Benny's ears, suddenly, it became hard for them to swallow.

Their boss was annoyed when Krishna hadn't come down after half an hour. He waited another half hour, but the missus hadn't come down yet. It was the first time their boss had waited patiently for someone to eat together — that the food had become cold; now, the bacon and ham's crispness had already disappeared.

Hence, ten minutes ago, their boss declared to start the brunch, and they must ensure they would leave nothing for Krishna.

But of course, they can't do that. Their boss' baby mama did nothing wrong. How could they not be giving her food?

Why was the boss so worked up over breakfast, anyway? Dillion and Benny contemplated.

George had already canceled all his appointments today and passed his work on them. It means he had the entire day to do nothing but spend time with the missus.

'Boss is such a petty man. And why would he complain? Lady Krishna looks too gorgeous this morning—it was like her life wasn't threatened last night. Is it the boss's pride to be accompanied by a beautiful woman?' Benny shook his head as he mused. 'Many girls took a long time to prepare, as they made sure to look presentable before going to their respective appointments. Sir, can't you consider that?'

As for Dillion, he hurried to finish his meal to leave sooner, not to continue catching the frown on his boss's face.

However, Rowan ignored the sullen attitude his brother had shown. He greeted Krishna gleefully and offered the food he had ordered, especially for her.

"I don't know what you like, and I can't find all the ingredients in George's kitchen to make you some Mediterranean cuisine, so I ordered from Seaside Resort. George hired famous chefs worldwide to work for him so you can order dishes from various countries."

Rowan pushed the perfectly arranged platter of empanadas, churros con chocolate, chorizo, and tortillas set toward her.

Seeing the familiar cuisine, Krishna's eyes twinkled. "Really?"

Suddenly, she was excited to visit the restaurant after fitting her gown for tomorrow night's banquet. She was immersed in her thoughts and failed to notice one guy glaring at her.

She casually picked a piece of churro and dipped it into the chocolate when a growl sounded beside her.

"Are you sure to eat that when there is a party you have to attend tomorrow?"

At first, Krishna was confused about why George was breathing fire. But after she realized that the dishes in front of her could make her gain some weight and possibly cause her belly to be bloated later.

Actually, she knew how to make the food that Rowan had ordered for her. But she wanted to taste these since famous pastry chefs prepared them.

Staring at the churros in her hand and the mouthwatering empanadas and tortillas on the platter, Krishna wished she didn't accept a job such as modeling.

With a heart full of regrets that she has to stop eating delicious food, Krishna put the food back on the platter.

"Maybe I can have these after the party, right?" Her voice was low, almost like she talked to herself, yet it was enough for the men to hear her words.

Rowan was unhappy watching George prohibit Krishna from eating good food. But his brother scolded the latter before he could reprehend him.

"You have photoshoots this weekend and next month," said George.

'Next month? It's the end of the month now, so next week is already another month.'

Krishna pondered over it... Just then, she understood the meaning behind George's words. He is now handling her career, so she has more work to do from here on. However …

'So I am going to starve myself?'

Ultimately, Krishna could only have tea and a few bites of garlic-toasted bread spread with low-fat mayo while Benny and Dillion savored the supposed food for her.

Rowan, on the other hand, felt helpless that he could not help Krishna win over his domineering brother.

After breakfast, Krishna followed George out of the elevator, and Dillion tailed behind.

That morning, the grandeur lobby was crowded with several executives taking permanent residency in the resort.

They were about to greet George, but everyone dropped their jaws after seeing the woman walking beside him.

Not only was the girl beautiful, but it was also the first time they saw George allow a girl inside his residence. They heard that George had loved someone; thus, they were curious if that girl was the same woman he is with now.

If she isn't, why was she here?

In the past, before George was not strict in his resort, several women tried to crawl into his bed, and he found it annoying. If other men took advantage of a worm coming to the bird, he is cautious for the sake of the Graham throne.

Meanwhile, Krishna was uncomfortable being the center of attention. She could sense several pairs of eyes scrutinizing her.

George strode steadily and ignored the curious gazes when he exited the elevator.

However, before they could exit at his resort's exclusive lobby, they met the person George had wanted to avoid for a while.

"Mr. Graham!" a man in his late sixties, still vigorous, greeted them delightedly.

Following George, Krishna peeped over the former's shoulder and stared at the older man with curious eyes.

The man smiled at Krishna, prepared to greet her, but froze suddenly. "Isn't she…."

"Ah, Master Lin Wei, good morning, sir! What perfect timing! I am actually looking for you!" Before things become out of control and secrets are suddenly revealed by mere accidents, Dillion walks forward and ushers the master toward the Cafe within this lobby.

Gladly, Dillion was quick to handle this situation.

As for George, who was shocked seeing the older man, even though he was aware that the master who hypnotized Krishna was in his resort — he wasn't prepared to face him yet and explain things. However, he was not obliged to do that and had nothing to say as a client paying the service generously.

However, he doesn't know how Krishna will react after she learns the truth.

"Let's go."

As George announced this, he grabbed her hand and pulled her toward the back door. She wondered why they took a secret hallway instead of the front door.

Soon, Krishna was in great awe upon realizing George had brought her to his private underground garage. After the latter put his hand on the scanner, the door opened, and she was welcomed by several luxury cars, including limited edition supercars, parked inside.

As she learned that George's family-owned Empire Airlines and that he owned this luxurious resort was already astounding to her.

And now, witnessing how extravagant his lifestyle was made her feel too inferior.

Knowing her background and the reality that she was a single mother who didn't know her child's father was not a good image of being linked to George, as she was rumored as his girlfriend.

"Get in." George chose his black Bugatti La Voiture Noire.

Krishna was reluctant to move forward, afraid to scratch the supercar with a price of millions of dollars.

George noticed the hesitancy in her eyes. He walked around and opened the car door for her.

"What are you waiting for?"

Just then, she forced her feet to take a step and climb inside. Despite how luxurious and exquisite the vehicle's interior was, she could not appreciate them when gloom sprouted in her heart.

She felt she did not belong to this world, particularly George's.

"What's the matter?" Steering the car out of the garage, George noticed the glum atmosphere inside the vehicle, mainly coming from the silent woman beside him.
