It Might Be You, My Darling [Volume One Completed]

Which SECRET will you keep for the rest of your life? She wakes up without a recollection of the other night's event. Krishna was horrid as realization hit her one morning. She had a one-night stand with a stranger! Why did she end up in the bed naked, pain searing all over her body, and no sight of her companion last night? As she could not comprehend what happened to her, memories of last night disappeared without a trace, whereas memories from the distant past resurfaced and muddled her head greatly. ‘What is going on? Why do I remember nothing, but I could recall some events during my childhood?’ What mystery surrounded that night, and she could not fathom being in an unfamiliar place without recollection? ~ “I want you to break up with him!” said the dude, who appeared out of nowhere. ‘The audacity of this man?’ She was pinned to the wall, and the crazy guy yelled this in her face. “What are you talking about? Do I even know you?” she snapped, glaring at the stranger. ‘Who is this guy? I don’t know him at all!’ She only wanted to enjoy the vacation she won over the lottery. However, she was being attacked by gorgeous men out of nowhere! “Who are you?” another man who blocked her in the hallway asked. “Huh? Isn’t I the one supposed to ask you this question? Who are you? I am certain we have never met before.” Even though she snapped at him, the man seemed confused by her answer. “Is that so? Then? Why do you keep appearing in my dreams?” Krishna was rendered speechless. ‘I thought this joke was outdated! Someone has still had the thick face to use for advances!’ I think I’m going crazy one of these days! First, I was mistaken for someone’s mistress. Now, I am somebody’s girlfriend. Maybe tomorrow, I will become someone’s wife. Great! How ironic would that be!? ~ Chapter Release Schedule: TUESDAY - THURSDAY - SATURDAY (This book is under massive editing.) Call Me Hubby

Bang!

"Ugh… Mama… Papa… I… Is he dead? I… I killed him… Grandpa…"

She could not breathe. It felt like something had stuffed in her throat. Not only that, she was shuddering with great impulse.

"I… I killed him…"

"No love, stop thinking that… You did not kill him."

She heard someone utter this.

"No!"

"Your daddy is correct, honey."

Then a sweet voice whispered in her ear, comforting her.

"No! I killed him!"

She could remember the blood splash on the tree.

"Krishna!"

She pushed the person leaning on her. She then covered her ears and curled her body.

"I…"

She was quivering in fear that she shoot someone in the head. It horrified her because the man's head exploded, and his brain scattered all over the place.

"Krishna! Wake up!"

'This voice…'

She is somewhat familiar with this voice.

'Where am I?'

Who owns this voice, by the way? She was curious to know. However, she is afraid to open her eyes; thus, she can only ask herself.

"Come on, darling… Open your eyes."

'Who's he?'

She was still afraid to open her eyes…. Afraid that when she opened her eyes, she was still inside that nightmare.

She doesn't understand why those dreams suddenly appeared after she had a one-night stand with a stranger.

Who's he and she suffering like this? Is it his doing why all of this is happening to her? She never recalled those as an event in her past. But it became her nightmare while she was conceiving her son George.

Could it really be a part of her memories but deliberately buried deep in her brain? Then the cause of all this is really that man she sleeps with.

'That guy must burn in hell! I almost lost my sanity back then.'

She thought her dreams would not haunt her anymore after she gave birth to George. But she was wrong. She had this nightmare over again. It may not often be but it did not stop.

'I want to look for that man! Maybe he could fix this…'

To be precise is to fix her. She was tired of having those nightmares. She doesn't want to be considered that she is losing her sanity.

"Krishna…"

She was falling into the depths of darkness. But then she felt a warm palm gently caressing her back while she was embraced by two muscular arms that became a rope for her to reach out and hold on to, dragging her to the surface.

As she regained her senses, after gathering her thoughts in one place, she slowly remembered.

'Could it be that…' Krishna sharpens her senses to identify the person hugging her. If she is not mistaken, the man holding her is George.

Upon having this realization, she slowly opens her eyes and stares at the gorgeous man before her sight. The eyes that met hers were filled with concern.

"Did you have a bad dream?"

Even the voice that came out of his mouth was anxious; thus, it kept comforting her.

"Don't worry. I am here now," he added when there was no response from her end. Krishna blinked, remained frozen on the bed, and did not dare to move an inch.

She just let the man wipe the stain on her delicate face after her eyes flooded with tears. Occasionally, he would caress her cheek and then pat her head like she was a little kid, pacifying her.

"What are you doing here?" she asked after a long while. Krishna was not fully awake yet and mumbling subconsciously, but George found her cute. He suppressed himself not to grin.

However, at that very moment, she was lowering her guard around him—the one who often glares at him or wholly ignores his presence at times is acting like a little cute kid.

Nevertheless, he preferred this side of her. He wishes she would not be awake completely so that there are no awkward feelings between them.

"I think you are not supposed to be here." She could not recall everything yet; hence, she had this strange feeling in her heart. 'Am I missing something? Am I supposed to do something?'

"Hummed… I should be in the hotel now. However, my date was having the leisure to be cuddled by me."

Having said that, Krishna was speechless. Is he teasing her?

She was actually quite slow today. Yet, she had no realization they were supposed to be attending a hotel anniversary party. Regardless, George was in no hurry.

If Krishna decided to stay, he would not attend the banquet. In fact, since he is not a partygoer, he preferred to celebrate his marriage tonight by enjoying their honeymoon.

With this thought, George pressed Krishna with his weight.

"What are you doing?" Her brown eyes were round and big, broadened by shock.

George chuckled and began to picture a mini-Krishna version in his head. His daughter would certainly look pretty like her momma with eyes this big.

"Get off me!" Krishna struggled underneath him. On the other hand, George was hurt. He muttered,

"Aren't newlyweds supposed to be tangled on the bed like this?" With what he said, she finally woke up completely.

"You…" She could not close her mouth upon having a recollection of the events that happened just within one day and one night.

George could read what was on her mind. He curled his thin lips and whispered, "If you don't want to attend the party. Then it's fine since your husband needs to be coddled once again."

"My what?" She was yet to brace herself from the actuality that she was tricked by this man into a marriage without her assent. Now, how dare this man act cute? It doesn't fit him at all! "You were kidding me! Get off of me!"

She gathered her strength but to no avail. The man who pressed her onto the bed was not only heavy but had great strength as well.

"Call me hubby, just then I will stop…"

"What?" That caused her cheeks to flush red all of a sudden. 'This guy is crazy! Isn't it supposed to be a secret marriage?'

"We're at home, so it's okay. You can call me hubby. What do you say, my dear Wifey?"

As he gazes at her with such tenderness, George is playing with a few strands of her hair that give her goosebumps.

'Gosh! His lines were like in those Telenovelas my friends and I binge-watch!'

It felt cringed!
