Surgery

The day of the surgery arrived, Patel was admitted to the hospital a day before the surgery as the doctor wanted to run some tests before the surgery.

"It's going to be alright." Lana signaled as she held Patel's hand.

Nodding her head, Patel smiled.

Noah was there too in the hospital and somehow she was glad that he was here. She was scared and didn't want to feel that she was alone.

Lana stepped out of the room to check with the doctor on something, Leaving Noah and Patel in the room.

She offered him a polite smile when he came to sit on the bed edge. He handed her a small folded paper.

Patel stared at him before she opened the paper and read it.

"Get well soon, I will be waiting for you."

Patel smiled seeing the heart-shaped that he drew at the end of the message.

She put the paper down and asked him to give her his hand. She started to write something on his palm.

"I will." She wrote.

Noah smiled at her and held her hand in his, bringing it to his lips kissing the back of it but Patel immediately pulled her hands towards her with wide eyes.

Just then, Lana entered the room and noticed that Patel looked different As if she was embarrassed by something.

She looked confused at the two of them But decided to not ask them.

She had noticed the way Noah looked at Patel and it was obvious that he had feelings for her. It would be good if the both of them got along, Noah is a good man.

Later on, Patel was taken to the surgery room. The surgery might take from two to four hours, So the waiting will be long but the results will hopefully be good.

Away from the country, Jacob received the news about Patel surgery, He was worried and anxious, He wanted to be with her, But he can't right now, He still needs time to clean the mess that Henry had caused, If he doesn't solve these problems, Chances are high that these people might come looking for Patel if he didn't pay the money that her father stolen from them.

Henry had died but his problems are still following them.

He was happy for Patel that she finally will be able to hear, For years he watched her being isolated, Not able to hear or talk, Now she is going to experience a new side to this world.

After a long time of waiting in front of the operation room, The surgery finally ended and Patel was transferred back to her room to rest.

"The surgery was successful, Everything went well." The doctor assured Lana.

"Thank you, doctor." Lana thanked as she looked at Patel who was sleeping.
