Chapter 31: Argus
~Albus POV~
'Hehe! Finally, Free!'
'Whoa to be here again!'
'Yahhh!'
'Will be Master friends!'
Hehe…
I guess I made more contracts using the same method to summon Ake as I managed to get all 5 Quasi spirits that are in their own category of elemental magic by Re: Zero standards.
Although summoning them did manage to waste some Mana on my end but at least they can siphon the remaining Mana from the atmosphere to stay in this world as they are a happy bunch of spirits.
Even told them the truth of my issues to vent out about what happened to me.
They were very helpful listeners to help me adjust normally again getting my consciousness and some social talking again.
I can only go on for so long before going mad without talking to anyone.
But these little guys clearly helped out my issues though.
However, these little balls of colored spirits are REALLY strong though as I can summon all six to help me out against Grimm hordes solo it even with their help.
With them, I can essentially keep on fighting using my Magic via through them as I used Spirit Arts to use them to say my magic incantations.
My contract with six Quasi Spirits is known by their color belonging to their Magic Element.
Ia is a red/fire Quasi Spirit.
Kua is a blue/water Quasi Spirit.
Alo is a green/wind Quasi Spirit.
Ake is a yellow/earth Quasi Spirit.
In is a white/Yang Quasi Spirit.
Nes is a black/Yin Quasi Spirit.
Of course, these guys happen to like residing in real-world or my soul at times to see everything happening and very much liked to be summoned again.
I made sure to categorize them with appropriate crystals for each one of his six spirits, where they reside when not materialized thanks to Ake's help to make magic or mana shards.
The crystals are formed into a bracelet ring for them to see inside a fused shard of the crystals as they all liked to single rainbow crystal ball.
Sort of looks like the Keystones from Pokémon though but they liked the design of them so no complaints on my end as I always get to see or talk to them telepathically through magic so I'm never lonely.
Even though they are only Quasi Spirits at the moment each of them told me they could bloom into full-on Spirits one day or merge so long as I provide each of them with Mana for the following days.
And in return, they assist me in casting magic while using them as a source instead of drawing from my own Mana supply as they act like solar panels gathering sunlight and storing them inside themselves for later.
Except the Spirits absorb the remaining Mana in the air inside the bracelet ring holding it for me to use to resupply myself.
But the best part is whenever I fight a horde all six of them show up in their small ball of light-like state and start casting magic while feeding me the information of what their doing as I act ahead of time and fight.
Certainly helps keep my mental state at ease.

*Rumble*
While on the road again after some exercising and training my body was given time to relax of course I finally made it to Argus as I see it in the distance ahead of me.
Smiling happily at this surviving all this time in the woods and bandits I couldn't help but feel relieved seeing this place, "Finally… now I can finally start leaving Mistral. Maybe I should obtain some information about the timeline of events."
Yeah…
I haven't exactly done a lot of researching the world of RWBY considering I had to learn to survive on my own against literal monsters and such across this small piece of land but…
No, I should just focus on the fact I lived through this but what about my Truck though?
Glancing at it I guess I could remodel it to ensure the police don't get too suspicious of it being there if I change it a bit.
*Zzzz*
Remodeling the Truck I made some changes but noticeable one's to know these don't belong to Hazel but my own or I could say to the guard's station in the front gate of Argus that I built it from scratch.
*Brrr*
Driving ahead so far I haven't had any discontent as I reached the gate of the Argus as I next heard some loudspeakers shout out, "Halt! In the name of Argus security Guards please identify yourself with Scroll or face along with the name."
Agreeing to that I left out of the truck as I explained to myself who I was easy enough, "Ok I'm out of the truck. The name is Albus Burn can you let me have access to Argus City."
*Clank*
Waiting for a response I heard and saw the gates of iron opening up as I saw a few guard men posted coming across expressing their cold gazes at me, "Very well then animal. You can have free access into our City but we must inspect your contents."
Nodding at that I agreed as I let them see the back as they questioned me of the contents as I made sure that I was a nobody with livable items as one of the guards comment on this, "Heh. You seemed to have lived here animal. What Grimm invasion got you?"
Narrowing my eyes in fake and genuine anger at the guy I replied dryly to him, "Actually yes. Happen to see the carnage and survived fucking jackass."
He glares at me for mocking the guard till one of them replied to the guy I mocked, "Knock it off Oil. We have cases like these time to time. Be more respectful to these kinds of situations."
"Tch."
Clicking his tongue off he went off to his post as one of the guards finally finished inspecting my truck as they let me have free entrance inside Argus City as I viewed it with some familiarity compared to my own world of Earth.
Argus is a port city in the northern region of the Kingdom of Mistral and acts as the major trading center between the continents of Anima and Solitas. It is among the largest non-capital cities in all of Remnant.
The southern edge of Argus is bordered by a stone wall several stories tall with a single large gate allowing for road access.
The city has cobblestone streets and a transit system with streetcar-like hovering vehicles following a groove in the roadway. Most of the buildings are brick, only a few stories in height, and bear resemblance to the real-world Victorian style of houses.
The city is built over hilly terrain, with a large natural harbor.
Argus is connected to the city of Mistral by Argus Limited.
Glancing at the metal pillars in the distance I can see how they protect their port and the other island.
The Kingdom of Atlas has its largest foreign military base on an island just off the coast of Argus, on the other end of a large suspension bridge.
The city is the location of Sanctum Academy one of Mistral's primary Huntsman Academies.
Argus has one of the support relay towers of the Cross Continental Transmit System. It is located on the cliff above the city, surrounded by a forest.
The city has Hard-Light Dust barriers that activate via towers that emerge from underwater should large Grimm surface and attack the city.
The towers create two rings of hard light. The towers, however, are vulnerable to direct attacks and can cause a section of the wall to stop working.
On the opposite side of the city is a large stone wall, about five stories in height, with a single large archway for passage.
Both the gateway and the wall itself are seen being manned by Atlesian infantry.
The city's main offensive force is the numerous Manta airships stationed at the Argus Military Base, as well as the Colossus, the giant mech created to fight giant Grimm.
Going around the place it was certainly interesting as even my Spirits seem to be quite happy seeing it for the first time.
And I agree as I began to search around the place to put my Truck to park for the time being.
Driving around the happy-going place I was going to take a ship ride away from Mistral to Vale as I sigh my breath in relief.
Stopping my Truck for the time being on a free parking lot space I humbly began to go around viewing the place as it reminds me more of Earth.
Argus seems to be designed to combine the influences of Mistral and Mantle.
Argus' design inspiration was the real-world location of San Francisco, California, sharing some of the features that San Francisco is well known for:
Victorian-style houses that are built close together.
A streetcar system.
Hilly terrain.
A very large suspension bridge.
The military base stationed in the city references Alcatraz Island.
Still, though I might as well see what I can do about getting some lunch as I feel very famished about now.
Maybe a sandwich would help out a bit more.
*Grumble*
Heard my stomach grumble hearing the noise as I sighed out loud only confirming what I need to hear, "Sigh… guess getting a bite first before leaving should do. I could really be down for a bacon sandwich."
With that, I began to leave to get a sandwich.
Because why not and I'm really hungry for some meat.
