Far far from the mainland, there are only the blue sea, the blue sky, and a humongous cloud as far as one's eye could see. it's literally what they called in the middle of nowhere.

Seemed heavy but light humongous clouds divided themselves. It looks unnatural however it was accepted as a natural occurrence above the ocean by the populace.

It was because they didn't know it. The secular populace didn't know what was hiding behind the veil.

Behind the veil made of Mana that hides its existence from normal people was… a floating island! No, it was too big to be called an island. It was a floating small continent.

On top of the small continent was a civilization. Like all other countries known to people the floating small continent was the same. They have populations, they have lands, they have governments. The only difference is they are isolated and floating in the sky.

They also have a modern civilization with technology that won't lose with others below, they don't have exaggerated landmarks like Burj Khalifa but they do have high-rise buildings.

And on the biggest city which is also the capital of the only country on that floating continent.

Right in the middle of the capital city, there's a castle-like building. It was like the imperial castle of the Chinese empire but more modern.

It was the home of the King or Emperor of this floating continent.

"Haa~ haa~" a single man running fast and out of breath

He passed corridor by corridor at full speed without minding his fatigue. His aim was the biggest place in the palace

The Praying hall…

He opened the huge and majestic entrance of the praying hall.

There are only two people inside that big space. They didn't even flinch nor were shocked when the man hurried to open the door. They were calm as they could be.

One of the two is a man who looked like he was in his late twenties and early thirties with blond hair and a lean build.

While the others looked older with their whitened hair and rugged skin.

They both kneel before the small cabinet in the deepest part of the hall… A huge altar

The upcoming man also instantly kneels the moment the door opens. Without any need to confirm the other side, he already knew who was inside the praying hall, because there were only certain people allowed to enter except for a special moment. If it wasn't for the emergency, he wouldn't have a single thought to open this door nor get closer to this room, and to open the door that roughly was even more unthinkable.

The man kept kneeling for a moment, then before long the two inside the room stood up and turned towards the upcoming man.

"Speak!" the older man commanded in an irritated tone. To interrupt in the middle of the prayer is the same as disrespect toward their god.

"H-Ha!" The kneeling man stuttered a bit, then he pushed his head toward the floor even more stronger. "We got a signal from one of the wings of the seven great families!"

Before the informant could finish his information the older man was unable to hold his anger, he thought it was just trivial information "Do you understand the consequences of your action!" He said sharply. Then the neutral mana in the surrounding started to react with the old man's Mana.

Cold sweat poured out unstoppably from his whole body, it's not overstated to say that the informant could see his whole life playing before his eyes in a mere fraction of a second. Then suddenly the pressure he felt from the older man, the only one with the title of Seraphim, felt a bit lighter.

It took a moment for the informant to realize that the younger man was beside the Seraphim. The informant didn't think too much about it and immediately realized the reason for his being here. "It was the wing of the Mikaela Family that reacted" once the informant said that he immediately felt all the pressure he felt just now gone like a dream.

"Are you sure it's Mikaela that reacted?" Seraphim asked.

"HaA!" The Seraphim scoffed "He betrayed his family, his home, his country, even his land just to be together with that woman, do you think he will have a child with others now?"

"…" The younger man didn't say anything, however he agreed with what The Seraphim said 'it was impossible for that person to betray his woman'.

"Trace the signal and find him" The Seraphim commanded "and tell every angel to catch… to hunt him down, whether it's dead or alive, bring him that disgraced back!"

The younger man nodded ('Brother, I told you to never used your wing anymore, now that you broke your promise there's nothing I can do to help you anymore') He thought with a grimace as he walk away and left the praying hall to tell The Seraphim command to every division.

Three days have passed since Lex disintegrated Brad the Vampire progenitor. With help of the potion and Mana Lex recovered very quickly from his injury. And now he is in the VVIP room of the biggest hospital in Valentine City, with his connection and money Lex easily gets a hold of this place.

And as for why he was here….

"Aaa~" Lex said as pick a bite-sized apple toward the sweet lips of the girl who lay down on the hospital bed.

"Mm…" the girl didn't open her mouth immediately, she was half confused and half embarrassed by Lex's action. "I can eat it myself," The girl said.

While Lex only replied with a gentle smile then "Aaa~~" and repeated his words.

"..." The girl still hesitates to take it.

"AAaaa~~" Lex said even more strongly. "Uu.." the girl finally gave up and took a bite. Then *Click the door opened. Simultaneously a middle-aged couple went inside the room and got a direct view of the girl fed by Lex.

"I'm glad you're alright," The Middle-aged woman said in relief.

"!!?" The girl instantly hid her head under the blanket which received a happy laugh from the rest

It was because of the other person who got hospitalized that Lex was here. Even when The doctor from the Crimson Eagle assured her well-being, Lex still tried to very very assure that she was okay, that's why Alice was hospitalized here.

The VVIP room was not much different from a presidential suite in a five-star hotel or a luxurious house. The only difference was there was a hospital bed and hospital emergency tool in one of the rooms.

"I already said it yesterday, but Lex you sure changed a lot," Mrs. Vernalis said.

"Haha" Lex replied with a small laugh "unlike me auntie didn't change at all, you're still beautiful and young as before, if I didn't know Auntie beforehand I might think of you as Alice's sister instead of the mother"

"Uncle too, you're still manly and as strong as before," Lex said with a beaming smile. Flattery spewed out from his mouth as smoothly as how he breathed.

"Ara~ you become better in flattery too now" Mrs.Vernalis chuckled

Then Lex's expression changed as if he was hurt by her words "What are you talking about Auntie? I'm just stating the truth!" Lex replied strongly.

Actually, Lex was only half lying, Alice's mother looked like on her thirties, she looked a bit old but undeniably still a mature beauty, that's if she was compared with others, however, if she were to be compared to Layla Bentley, Kate and Ella mother the different would be too big that cannot be compared at all.

From his childhood till now he saw Layla didn't change at all, she still looked in her prime beauty. (Well, it must be the effect of mana) Lex thought. There were too many beautiful women in the hidden world to count.

He smiled gently and played around with his wife. "Mm…" he acted as if he was thinking for a while before he replied "Yeah, let's do that" agreeing with his wife

"Dad! Why you too!?" Alice panicked at their words and wanted to stand up from her bed to protest against their parents but was held down by Lex.

"Nope, you need to rest," Lex said. As he gently lay her back under the blanket.

"But the doctor also said I'm alright" Alice tried to refute while also glaring at her parents from time to time who spewed nonsense.

"I know, but still I want you to rest at least for today" Lex gently said as he played with her bangs (They don't know what you had been through, your psyche might be fine but no one knows about your mental side, you might not realize it yourself) Lex thought.

After making sure Alice agreed to rest. Lex turned toward her parents, and the couple watched them with warm eyes. Well, Mr. Vernalis looked a bit uncomfortable but was held back by his wife.

"Also…" he said to the couple "I gladly took the offer"

"Lex!! Why-" Alice becomes worked up again.

"Eh?" Lex acted confused and shocked as he stared back at Alice.

Alice, who was deceived by Lex's action, becomes confused.

"But I did propose to you" He shot the ball straight.

Alice quickly hid her head under the blanket again, and before long she slowly peeked out of it like a small animal.

"You tricked me again…" She said softly. "It's unfair"

"I had already fallen for you two times, and you tricked me again…" Alice murmured as she held tight to Lex's clothes.

"Un, I know" Lex also stopped acting and looked at her with gentle eyes as She released what was bottled inside

Without both of them realizing Lex already sat on the bed beside Alice, while Alice put her head on his lap deeper and deeper into his stomach.

On the other hand, the observers were already forgotten by Alice and Lex.

"What did we just see…" Mr. Vernalis said "I have a very conflicted feeling right now"

"It was the same for me" Mrs. Vernalis agreed "Anyway, let's avoid any sweet things tonight, I had enough"

"Agreed"

It was then, when the room was filled with a lovie-dovie pink atmosphere, a knock came on the door and someone came inside the room.

Then a breeze of permafrost cold struck the room.

A blonde-haired beauty with blue eyes came inside.

"Lex, we need to talk," Kate spoke with an inflectionless tone as she saw Lex's situation right now, there was nothing special in her expression too only an eerie calm expression.
