Chapter 14 Contraceptive

Starline Mansion

Kelvin carried the exhausted Catherine to the couch and covered her with a blanket. He removed the bedsheets and replaced them with a new one.He goes to the bathroom and prepares a hot bath for her. He then carries her from the couch and places her in the bath tub and gets in as well. When he was done cleaning them up, he carried her to the bed and covered her up with his bath robe.

He wears his clothes and gets into bed with her. He pulls her into his embrace and whispers onto her ears "I LOVE YOU", and then places a feather kiss on her forehead.

The next day

The sun was shining and birds were singing, the curtains of the room were pulled open allowing the ray of sunlight to find its way inside the room.

Catherine eyelid flickered and her long lashes quivered as she was woken up by the sudden sunlight which found its way into the room.

She stirred and turned. It's almost noon and you are still sleeping, do you want to sleep the whole day ?, Sarah asked.

Catherine opened her eyes and tried to sit up but the ache she felt all over her body wouldn't let her , causing her to fall back onto the bed.

She groaned and sat up staright, realizing that she was half naked. She quickly used the bath robe to cover herself properly.

Good morning madam, Catherine greeted Sarah.

Sarah brought out a tablet from the pocket of her maid outfit,she threw the tablets at Catherine who was still sitted on the bed.

I don't think I need tho explain to you what that is,and when it needs to be taken, Sarah said in a tone full of disgust.

Sir asked me to give you this and he ordered you to use it regularly, Sarah said with mockery.

He wouldn't want a prostitute to mother his child, Sarah said as she smirked and left the room.

Catherine's POV

Catherine picked up the contraceptive tablet thrown at her and tears immediately welled up in her eyes.

Does he think I'm interested in carrying his child ?.

I'm not interested in playing the role of a substitute.

I'm not a toy and I won't be used and dumped when he feels like it. I guess that's what he gets for helping me out in getting revenge on his family member.

He thinks I am just a sex toy ?!.

If that's the case, I just have to abide by his rules and get my father's company back and leave this bondage, no strings attached. Just play the game the way it is being laid out and I am sure I am to win,she said with sure determination.

I'm supposed to start working as his secretary today . But it is almost noon, I will just start tomorrow.

Catherine gets up from the bed and cleans the room when she was done, she went to the bathroom to take her bath and brush the teeth.

But when she got to the bathroom,she was surprised to see that everything in the bathroom were in pairs. One of each was black and the other was yellow.

The toothbrush, bath sponge, towels, slippers, but the only thing without a pair was the bathrobe, with only the yellow robe neatly hung, because she was wearing the black one.

She went towards the basin and picked up the yellow toothbrush and brushed her teeth, when done, she took off the bath robe she was wearing and hung it.

When done having a bath,she went towards the closet. she opened the walk in closet and was shocked by the sight. The once empty closet was now filled with clothes, bags, shoes, jewelry and suits. Three quarter of the closet was occupied by her clothes and the remaining quarter had only Kelvin's clothes.

She went towards her side of the closet and went through the clothes and later settled for a yellow sunflower mini dress, white sneakers with yellow shoulder bag. Once done dressing, she went towards her vanity table to apply a little makeup ,she tied her hair into a loose ponytail.

she looked at her reflection in the mirror and smiled with satisfaction.she picked up her phone by the night stand and dialed a number ,the phone was answered after three rings.

Hello , Kelly?..... It's Catherine,greeted Catherine.

Hey, what's up babes?, how are you doing?, Kelly asked back.

Great, Catherine answered. How was the banquet? Kelly asked in excitement. It was great, Cather answered with a smile lased on her face. Are you free?.......So I can treat you to lunch, Catherine asked.

Yes, I am....Do you want to come over?, Kelly asked. Yes, Email me the address. See you, Catherine said as she hangs up. She picks up her shoulder bag on the bed and placed her phone inside, she then walks towards her makeup table and picked up her lip gloss and pocket tissue. On her way out her eyes landed on the contraceptive tablet given to her earlier by Sarah, She then went back, picked it up and placed it in her bag.

I mustn't forgot to use this, She reminded herself as she left the room. When she got to the living room, she went straight to the dining table, but Sarah was nowhere to be seen instead she saw another unfamiliar maid, who is way younger than Sarah.

Good morning...Oh I'm sorry, pardon me it's noon, so Good afternoon, Catherine greeted politely with a beautiful smile on her face. Good morning Miss, I am Lana,the maid greeted with respect, surprised at Catherine's carefree and polite behaviour.

Sit down miss, what would you like to have, let me serve you,the maid said professionally.

Calm down Lana, I'm Catherine, you don't have to address me as miss in the future, Catherine said with a smile.

Lana nods her head in agreement

Good, so I would have marcaroni and cheese, Catherine said as she looks over the variety of food on the menu
