Is it wrong to take a break in Danmachi?

Alvar has finished his goal by protecting his world from its evil and succeeded in building a kingdom to help the races live in harmony. Still, after living for so long and working on his kingdom he wished to retire, so he picked his most trusted friends and taught them how to lead the kingdom and look after it in his stead. Afterward, Alvar with the help of his magic, items and elementals traveled to a different world to rest and complete his promise. =============================================== A/N This is the first time I wrote a ff so any suggestions and criticism are welcome so that I can improve. Also, I don't own anything but my OCs and I am mainly using Danmatchi as a template so I might change things like some monsters or characters and so on. English isn't my first language so do correct some of the mistakes I make!

Prototype

Alvar first started by sketching a small diagram of the magic stone and writing down the basic information he has about them. He then took out the piece of paper where he wrote the pattern of the mana circuit and stared at it for a while.

'This pattern causes a restoration type effect, but am I able to change it to a sealing type instead? Hmmm.' Alvar thought.

'The only problem is that I need to figure out how it works. Thankfully my pen is able to use pure mana to write otherwise there might have been problems while scribing the circuit patterns.' Alvar thought

Alvar continued for a couple of hours until he took a peak out of the window.

'The others are still asleep so I can leave and go to my workshop.' Alvar thought while he stored the blueprints and documents.

Alvar wasn't planning on going to the dungeon at the moment so he instantly put on his 'Cyrus' outfit and sneaked out of the Hostess without alerting anyone.

'Time to have some fun.' Alvar thought with a grin, thinking of all the spells he can place inside the magic stones.

Alvar walked inside his workshop and sat on a chair in his research room and took out the mana stones and papers.

Alvar already started working on decoding the patterns of the mana circuits and figured out that the mana circuits are more complicated than he thought they were.

The circuits have key 'elemental' parts. Where certain points inside the circuits slightly change the mana into a different element. In this case, it uses a combination of earth to manipulate the dungeon walls and light to 'heal' it.

'It's impossible to use light magic to heal something that isn't alive. So the dungeon is either alive or partially so. It would make sense if it's almost like an intelligent golem. Using earth magic to heal its 'body' and light to heal the 'scars'.' Alvar thought while going through his notes.

'Now time to make the first prototype...' Alvar thought and picked up a mana stone and his scribing pen.

'Now then... let's start.' Alvar thought and started carefully carving a pattern on the mana stone.

The 'elemental ports' that Alvar is using with this stone are the combination of wind and fire. The fire is to heat up the stone and the wind is used to send the heat waves outwards.

'Hopefully this works.' Alvar thought and placed the mana stone on the table and waited for it to start.

The mana circuits on the stone let out a dim blue glow and slowly a small warm breeze started to come out of the magic stone.

Alvar started grinning and took out a new stone to try out something different.

Alvar started scribing something a lot more complex. He wanted to see if he can 'seal' a spell inside the magic stone, but the problem with this is that to seal the spell, he would need to use more complex elements as the ports, such as 'time' to keep the spell in stasis and 'void' to absorb the spell and seal it inside the stone.

The problem is that the magic stones have to be of higher quality to use these complex elements as ports.

So Alvar decided to use the 'dark' element instead of void. There is a big difference between the dark element and the void element but it still has the ability to 'suck' in the spell.

The next problem would be mana consumption. If the spell is inside the magic stone then it would keep consuming the mana stored inside of the stone to keep the spell active, which will cause the stone to crack, break and then let the spell free.

So instead of using the time element to 'stop' the spell from consuming mana. Alvar is going to use the ice element to 'freeze' the spell instead.

'Let's see if this works.' Alvar thought and started carefully carving out the new pattern.

Alvar first started with the Dark elemental port and near the end, he used the Ice port.

'Done.' Alvar thought after half an hour and carefully looked at the magic stone in his hand.

'So far it looks like it would work.' Alvar thought and started using a simple 'magic missile' spell near the magic stone.

This caused the patterns on the magic stone to glow and a small aura of darkness started leaking out and wrapped around the spell. The darkness started dragging the magic missile inside the stone and storing it at the center of it. The magic missile slowly stopped moving inside the stone until it completely stopped.

Alvar started grinning while holding the magic stone.

'I'll make a few more and then move on to crafting a few weapons to sell.' Alvar thought while taking out a few more magic stones and doing the same, but with a few alterations.

Alvar made 5 'Spell Crystals' and walked inside his crafting room to make a few weapons. he was also planning on carving a few patterns inside the weapons to see what would happen.

Walking toward the furnace Alvar started smithing and after about an hour the first batch of swords was already finished.

Then Alvar started making the next weapon, a broadsword, but he wants this one to have magic circuits so Alvar mainly used Orichalcum and Mythril.

Mythril will be the core of the blade to help the mana circuits, while Orichalcum will be used to increase the durability of the broadsword.

Alvar finished the broadsword in half an hour and now started carving the circuits. The elemental ports used in these circuits are 'Wind' with the intent to reduce wind resistance and 'dark' with the intent to absorb some of the mana in the surroundings to keep the circuits running.

Alvar finished carving the circuits. he tested it by doing a few slashes in the air and felt absolutely no resistance at all.

'Perfect.' Alvar started grinning.

That's the chap!

hope yall enjoyed it! and if you did, do throw some power stones if you want to :3

comment your ideas here if you have any!

P/S) I'm having problems with describing smithing so that's why I left it out. If you know where I can find the basic information about it do tell me!

Peace!
