Origins: 1961- Welcome to Project Annihilation. Part Two

Iris finds herself back in her dream. Standing before the towering bearded man and the sword wielding blonde by his side. Lighting crashes and illuminates that great hall they are gathered in. "Where am I?" she says out loud. The man casts his stern gaze down upon Iris, "Skiringssal" the man spoke. Iris is startled, she was not expecting them to answer. "Who are you?" she asks weakly, "I am Farmir." he answered, "I am Moria." the woman followed. Iris recalls her Grandfather's story and goes cold, "Am...Am I dead?" she questions them, but they don't answer. She drops to her knees, overwhelmed by the flood of emotions that come over her. "I don't understand. I don't understand... What is happening to me!" she cries out. But when Iris lifts her face from the floor, Farmir and Moria have vanished. All that is left in the room is the iron spear that Farmir had driven into the ground. Iris rises to her feet, feeling an almost a magnetic pull to the spear. She takes a few steps towards it, when a raven appears and perches itself on the spear's tip, cawing loudly and startling her.

A wind blows through the the great hall and Odin's pledge is carried with it, "I speak an oath to the bloodline that descends from Farmir and Moria . For their Valor, Bravery, and Strength on the battlefield, I bless them and their descendants. For they and their descendants are worthy of Valhalla. From this day until the end of days." Iris looks up to the raven, who keeps his dark eyes fixed on her. "Reach out, and take hold your destiny!" a voice whispers. Iris reaches out hesitantly, attempting to touch the spear, when suddenly she is jolted awake.

She finds herself harnessed to a seat in a large plane. Their are other's around her handcuffed and shackled at their feet. Henchmen are heavily armed, and spaced between the captives. She quickly looks around and she locks eyes with the bionic man. Her blood runs hot at the site of him, remembering the assault in the hallway. He turns his attention away from her. "Good to see you've recovered from your stomach discomfort..." Wilhelm says standing before her. Iris looks up at Wilhelm, "Sorry I..." is all she gets before Wilhelm strikes her with the back of his hand. Blood fills her mouth. Iris whips her head around and sprays Wilhelm with her blood. Wilhelm raises his hand to strike her again, but someone stops him. "Садитесь на свое место, доктор, прежде чем я помещу вас туда"(Take your seat Doctor, before I put you in one.) The bionic man commands Wilhelm. Wilhelm glares at Iris before walking away from her. Iris' kidnapper looks over his shoulder at her, turning his face to her's "Courage and stupidity are two different things. The quicker you learn that. The less bruises you'll acquire." he whispers before making his way back to his seat.

"Is that why they took your arm?" Iris says with hatred, "Because you couldn't figure out the difference either." He stops in his tracks, clinching his fists. "Figures, all beauty and no brains.." Iris says laughing, blood still trickling from her mouth. He spins around marching towards her, when she feels a sharp pain in her leg. Iris lets out a gasp and looks to her left, Wilhelm has stuck her with a syringe, "Enough talking."he says. Iris feels a warmth fill the back of her head. As she fades into a slumber, she looks back at the blue eyed solider, "maybe next time, pretty boy." she mumbles before slipping back into a deep sleep.

She is shaken awake at the turbulent landing of the plane. She opens her eyes to see that she was still harnessed to her seat. She throws her head back, realizing she still a captive. She moves her leg, but bumps into someone sitting next to her. She looks to her right and groans, it's blue eyes himself. She goes to speak, but her mouth won't move, they've taped it shut. She looks over to the soldier, who returns her gaze, "Someone had to shut you up." he says coldly. Iris rolls her eyes. The plane finally comes to a stop and the loading door's open. Men are shouting and rushing the captives out the door. "Zimniy Soldat" a henchman shouts to the blue eye robot and waves their hands, directing him to follow. The bionic soldier unlatches Iris' harness from her seat, "On your feet." he commands. Iris tries to stand, but her legs give out, their numb. She groans and tries to tell him, but the tape just muffles her. He rolls his eyes, and lifts her off the floor with his metal arm, "You're more trouble then your worth" he growls. Iris expects him to toss her over his shoulder like some crippled lamb, but he doesn't, he carries her in his arms. With Iris in his arms they exit the plane, and the daylight blinds her. But when her eye's adjust, she's taken away at the beauty of the land. Sprawling mountains, open painted skies, and the ocean calming stationed inland. "Where have they brought me?" she wonders to herself.

The soldier follows the rest of the henchmen and the shackled captives in a small concrete building, just big enough for a door. Once inside the door, she can see stairs leading deep underground. The soldier carries her down to the first landing, and she can see the enormity of the underground bunker. The design is almost hive like, with hundreds of little worker bee's crawling all over the place. Loud, roaring machines drown out any voices that weren't yelling. Iris looks up at her capturer's face, he doesn't notice. He is handsome in his features. She looks into his eyes harder, "The empty eyes of a broken man..." the voice inside her whispered.

"Zimniy Soldat" a man shouts from a doorway, the soldier makes his way to him. The man steps aside as the soldier carries in Iris and places her on a exam table. The soldier leans down, putting his lips next to her ear, "Don't be stupid and you'll survive this." he whispers. Iris turns her face to him, expecting an arrogant smile, but instead she sees concern in his eyes. The sight doesn't comfort her. What could these men do to her that would have made eve this cold man scared.

Wilhelm and another man dressed in a lab coat walked into the room. Two henchmen follow behind them, closing the door. Wilhelm approaches Iris, he stares down at her with a smug smile on his face. He grabs a strand of her hair, rolling it through his fingers before quickly ripping the tape off her lips. She cries out as the tape takes the first layer of skin off her lips. Wilhelm grabs Iris by her chin, bring her face to his as he cowers over her. "Let this be a warning. You try anything like that little stunt before, and I will kill you personally." he gloated. "снять ее ограничения солдат(remove her restraints, soldier)" he demanded. The blue eyed soldier nodded and began to remove the straps, Iris shuttered at his touch, but he glares down at her- reminding her of his warning. She relaxes and he removes the harness and shackles around her feet.

Wilhelm begins take Iris' vitals, reading them aloud as the fellow doctor charted them. He looks at her teeth, her welted cheek, broken nose, bruised hand. As the exam continues, someone else enters the room. Iris looks up, it's Zola, and he looks furious. Zola and Wilhelm exchange a heated debated in another language, and the blue eyed soldier drops his head. Wilhelm leaves the room, outraged by what ever had been discussed. "My dear, you have endured quite a bit since our last visit. I do apologize, but it seems also there is to much fight in you. This raises question as to whether you will even be beneficial to our experiment." Before Iris can speak, the soldier answers for her, "I don't believe that be an issue Doctor. I believe she has come to understand her situation and what rebellion will bring her." Zola looks almost shocked to hear him speak. "It seems you are getting rather comfortable with the test rats, are we not?" Zola responds leaving Iris' side.

The soldier tries to stay composed, "Maybe it's over due time to make sure your mind is in the right place." Zola asserted. The soldier straightens his stance, letting his face revert back to it lifeless feature Iris had seen the day he kidnapped her. "I live for Hydra." he says. Iris is perplexed and petrified at the sight. The realization of how dire her situation truly was. This was not some random group of thugs who kidnapped her. These were highly trained and well funded cult like leaders. Zola spoke a single sentenced and this robot cowered like a beaten dog. "Would you then do me the pleasure of holding down Ms. Crawsen as we finish the admittance process in to our beloved program." The soldier doesn't answer and only for a second hesitates before walking to the side of the exam table and places Iris' hands in the restraints by her sides while the assisting doctor to Zola places her ankles in restraints as well. The soldier stands above her head, looking down at her. Iris begins to weep while looking into the the soldiers blue eyes. They weren't lifeless anymore, and she could see him fighting back remorse for her. The soldier forces a piece of rubber in her mouth and folds his hand gently over her swollen lips.

"Shall we begin!" Zola exclaims excitedly. Iris tries to control her breathing as she hears a metal side table be dragged next to her. Zola assembles something gun like that holds a long needle and a glass vial. Iris tries to cry out as Zola approaches, but the soldier covers her mouth tighter. Zola sticks the needle deep into her neck, and Iris screams but her screams are muffled. He injects the serum, and removes the needle. Iris screams louder as it feels like fire burning through her head that slowly spreads throughout her body. The soldier grips her face tighter and his eyes close. Iris convulses and her skin turns red, "I'm going to die. Please, Please let me die." Iris thinks to herself.

Slowly the burning subsides and her body calms down. She is exhausted, praying for this to be the end. "Take her to decontamination." Zola orders. The soldier removes his hand from Iris' face carefully. She is depleted. The soldier removes her restraints and carries her in his arms close to his chest. As he leaves the room, he hears Iris take a deep breath, "Soldat..." He looks down into her bloody and bruised face, "Kill me, please." Iris murmurs before falling into unconsciousness. The soldier returns his face forward, only allowing a single tear to fall. "Only if you take me with you..." he whispers.
