Chapter 2 Fateful Encounter

Hi here's the new chapter and I hope you guys enjoy this one because this is my first time writing a fight scene, so please point out my mistakes in the comments to let me know and please vote this story it will really make my day

– Timeskip: 3yrs later, 170 AG –

[Third person POV]

It was another day at Republic City with the streets bustling with people going about their daily lives, shops bustling with customers, the police keeping the peace, restaurant's packed with hungry guests, visitors from all over the world touring, and a certain protestor attempting to persuade non-bender citizens to join Amon. Yes, it's just another ordinary day in Republic City.

The scene shifts to a four-story apartment building, inside is a fine and clean apartment unit, the bedroom has a queen size mattress, the kitchen that appears to have been installed by a professional chef and a decent size living room with a couch and small round wooden table at the center of the room.

We see our protagonist Iori cooking himself some breakfast, wearing his KoF '95 clothes.

He sets his food on the table and starts eating while remembering about how far he has come.

[Iori POV]

Iori: 'I finally reached the peak of power and strength that the 'KoF Iori' has, while my time here I noticed that my body was adapting to my new strength,speed and power, I felt like I was awakened surpassing 'KoF Iori'.

I trained like crazy these past 3 yrs, pushed my body to the limits, breaking every bone in my body I've hone my skills in underground fights to gain experience and money, just using the flameless fighting style in order not to rely more on my flames. I've become popular in the ring that many people were betting lots of money on me 'cause I keep on winning, one of the spectators asked me for my name, I respond in a dark and cold tone on my voice "...Iori, that's all your gonna get".

They immediately know that I'm not to be messed with, they instantly nodded but one guy got me pissed off because he lost a ton of money on the guy I was fighting and starts threatening me, ohh....I still remember it like yesterday.'

– Flashback –

After my match, I went to grab my money but I was blocked by a guy from the earth kingdom due to the clothes he wore start yelling at me.

Gambler: "You! BECAUSE OF YOU I LOST LOTS OF MONEY BECAUSE OF YOU!!!"

...oh. I get it he's a sore loser, because he lost money, he's pinning the blame on me what kind of reason is that?

Iori: "Hmhmhm... Hahaha. HAA~HAHAHAHA!"

I laughed while putting my hand on my forehead. My laugh caught other people off guard and start looking at where I am, the guy doesn't like it thinking he's being mocked he grabbed my collar and shouts

Gambler: "THIS AIN'T FUNNY YOU ARROGANT PRICK!! I WILL FIND WHERE YOU LIVE AND I'LL KILL YOU IN YOUR SLEEP!!!"

I stopped laughing and sent him a glare that made him shake his legs and gives shivers to his spine.

I firmly grab hold his neck and starts choking him.

Gambler: "ACK!!"

He got absolutely terrified when he saw my face that lacks no emotion and start putting pressure on his jugular vein with my clawed hands making them bleed, he tried to get away but I hold him on the air with an iron grip, his complexion started to change from lack of oxygen

Gambler: "H-he-hey let's talk about this for a moment, we got on the wrong f-foot here how about p-p-put me down and lets talk?"

He said. Talk? what are we gonna talk about, on how he pissed me off and start threatening me...no...I had different idea. I respond on stone cold face

Iori: "Die."

He starts to panic when he felt his neck is heating up he realized I'm a Firebender, even though I'm not. Firebenders can manipulate fire but my flames are different, it belong to the Yagami clan and it won't bend like any normal flame, I found out about it when I fought a Firebender who was trying to rob me. I started burning him and screamed, he tried to claw his way out of my hand but it was useless, everyone is attracted to my flames like moths because of the color purple and it seems to be hotter than normal. The guy was already dead and started to turn to ash, I dusted the remaining ash on my hand, when I look up and saw fear in their eyes. I fixed my clothes, grabbed my money and started leaving, everyone in their came out of their shock and quickly exiting, now everyone in the ring is now calling me 'Iori of the purple flame'

– Flashback end –

I chuckled at the memory. speaking of power, I have mastered the Orochi Lightning in a total of 10 months, to which I modified the 'Mugetsu no Raiun' to suit my style and use it like a lightning armor and to increase my speed, instead of blowing a kiss, I perform a arm thrust instead. Training to control the Riot of the Blood was difficult, trying to not go on a frenzy but I pushed it through and it took me 2 yrs to fully control it. I was tired mentally but it was worth it, I triggered the Blood and felt my training paid off, my eyes turned into red snake eyes and felt I've gotten stronger,faster like how the avatar state works. I cleaned up and went outside to take a stroll to clear my head.

[Third person POV]

During my stroll I saw a squad of Metal Benders and the one leading the squad saw me and nodded. I nodded back, which leads to another memory

– Flashback –

I started hunting down some gangsters in order to gain battle IQ and to cure my boredom as it will help me on fighting groups of enemies, after taking down the last gangster I heard a voice behind me

???: "FREEZE! stay where you are."

I saw a squad of Metal Benders surrounding me, didn't know I was gonna get caught then I saw the chief of Republic City Police Infront of me with her 2 scars on her right cheek, Lin Beifong.

[Lin POV]

I saw a tall red haired man standing on the pile of bodies that has cauterized wounds and claw marks, they're alive but unconscious and lots of their blood on the ground.

Iori: "Don't worry their still alive if your wondering." he said with an apathetic look on him

I stayed silent, I observed him to be around 17 y/o, 'pretty tall for a kid' I said in thought, I saw he had clawed hands his nails look strong enough to rip through flesh, that explains the claw wounds and he seemed to be a Firebender since it's obvious for the cauterized wounds and 2nd degree burns.

Lin: "What are you doing here?" I said in a authoritative voice

He seemed to dismiss it and said "hunting down these gangsters", I raised an eyebrow "what for?" I asked, he walked Infront of me and said "why should I share that to you?" he said in a dark and cold voice.

My team was waiting for my command but I told them to stand down

Lin: "This is police work kid were investigating the disappearance of people I'm not letting you do some vigilantism while I'm around here"

He suddenly chuckle for a while then turn into a full blown laugh "Hmhmhm... Hahaha. HAA~HAHAHAHA!"

[Iori POV]

This is starting to get interesting, so I made a deal with her that I will help her on her investigation, she raised a brow asking how?

I walk to the nearest gangster that is slumped on a wall, I used 'Ge-Shiki Kui' on his head to wake him up, he woke up with blood trailing on his face, he started to look around and saw me with a murderous smirk on my face, he started to panic and pleaded for mercy that he will turn himself in, I was ok with it and said " tell her everything" pointing my finger at Lin he started to spill everything.

[Third person POV]

In just 1 night the entire gang was caught and the missing people were found.

Lin was impressed even though my interrogation was brutal it still work and even offered me a job for interrogation works

Lin: "Hey kid how about this, I call you whenever we had a tough cookie to crack and you will be there and get paid."

Iori:"How much?"

Lin:"About 1,000 yuan"

Well my money problems are solved, I accepted the and me and Lin became co workers .

– Flashback end –

[Third person POV]

Iori reached the marketplace but then he saw a water tribe girl and realized that Canon has started as she was about to fight the

Triple Threat Triads, that aren't even worth his time and the three looked at him with fear in their eyes, Korra was confused on why they're acting like that when she suddenly felt someone behind her, she turn around and saw Iori

[Korra POV]

I saw a athletic guy with a unique red haircut with long front bangs that often hides his eyes, he wore a half-buttoned black coat with gold buttons, open slits on his sleeves, a large-collared white t-shirt that reach to his thighs like a skirt and was half-buttoned to expose his chest, red pants with...belts? attached on each knee, black shoes and a black choker

I now know why their afraid, his gaze is terrifying along with clawed hands that are sharp.

[Third person POV]

Silence took over when the Triads called for back up when they saw Korra busy looking at Iori. Then all of a sudden around 30 members of the Triads came to beat them up Iori thought 'this didn't happen in Canon must be my interference here that caused it' Korra was about to bend when she saw Iori Infront of her and said "Stay here, you'll only slow me down" in a apathetic tone, Korra didn't like that so she put herself Infront of Iori and said " Look buddy as much as I want to fight them I don't like your attitude" Iori didn't listen her.

{READY?}....{FIGHT!}

He charge at the enemies and used '108 Shiki Yami Barai' and took down four while they are burning the surrounding enemies were shocked including Korra, they got out of their shock and started fighting.

Korra was doing well on her part bending the elements and used it to knock out the grunts when she looked at Iori's side was surprise on what she saw.

Iori throwing out punches and kicks to those that tried to attack him, a grunt tried to sneak attack him behind but Iori turned around and use 'Sakahagi' on the poor fellow causing blood to spurt out and throwing the body at the side. Everyone couldn't believe what just happen but Iori wasted no time and used

'129 Shiki Akegarau' on a group with claw marks on there chest and he used

'311 Shiki Tsumakushi' on a another group causing them to scream with claw marks and cauterized wounds as the last of the reinforcements fell, only the three stooges are left he went for the earth bender used a '203 Shiki Tsuchitsubaki' received burns on his face with a fractured skull he attacked the Firebender with a '100 Shiki Oniyaki' launched him in the air and fell back down with a broken back, 4 fractured ribs, and most of his teeth are gone, he slowly look at the last one that tried to make a run for it, keyword 'tried', Iori caught him and used '212 Shiki Kotetsuki In'

{K.O!!}

After it was over he looked around and he suddenly laughed then said "Geez, Sorry you guys. There's no cure for stupidity!" with a smirk on his face.

[Korra POV]

That was cool!! and scary at the same time!!

and those purple flames of his were hotter than normal fire that I know. He used Firebending combined with martial arts that I never seen before, perhaps I misjudge him. I saw him starting to leave and yelled

Korra: "Wait!"

he looked at me and I asked him

Korra: "What's your name?"

[Iori POV]

Iori: "...Iori Yagami. Best remember that, Avatar."

I turn around showing off my White Crescent Moon crest on my back to her, slowly vanishing out of her sight.

[Third person POV]

same thing happens in Canon as Korra was delivering her speech when suddenly the scene changes to a room as the Lieutenant asked Amon "Amon, how do you want to handle this?"

In the shadows we see Amon

Amon:"So the Avatar has arrived early. It looks like we'll need to accelerate our plans"
