The smile on his wife's face looked very mesmerizing, but Yang Yueshen could feel that the breath around him became terrible. It was as if his life force was being sucked by the unknown. Sweat drenched his back as he stared at his wife closely.

There was nothing wrong with his wife's smiling face. Yang Yueshen could not even determine his wife's aura, but he knew one thing. The woman before him is no longer the wife he married, even if he can still feel the existence of the mark he left on her body.

"Relax, I won't eat you-- well, not yet." Yin Rirri joked.

"What-- what do you mean?"

"Are you my husband?"

Yang Yueshen subconsciously nodded, but he felt scared to make a sound.

"That's right! You are my husband, so what are you still asking? Don't you know your responsibilities as my husband? Do you need me to remind you of them?"

"Need-- need not!"

"Great, let's eat before discussing what happened during your absence."

"Okay-- okay, let's eat-- eat."

Yin Rirri smiled and served the foods she cooked in their kitchen a while ago.

The smell of deliciousness wafted in the air when the food got laid on the bedside table. Yang Yueshen saw the Lomi beef noodles decorated with slices of hard-boiled eggs and shrimp. The heat rose from the bowl, and it was very tempting that Yang Yueshen couldn't stop himself from drooling.

"I wasn't expecting home-cooked meals, and I thought we'll only drink nutrient solutions."

There's a plate of chicken siomai with chili sauce—another plate filled with pork siopao and a little bowl of sweet and sour spicy fish fillet. For dessert, Yin Rirri did not recreate a new one but picked some of the desserts stocked in her world space.

"Starting today, I will require you to drink milk. Your bones are bad, and they need calcium."

Yang Yueshen could not believe his wife's words, but he was still willing to nod.

"Let me see if your hands can function well-- you can move them for me. Try it first and feel your strength. Then try lifting the spoon and tell me if you could eat alone, or I'll do the feeding till you can."

The tip of Yang Yueshen's ears reddened. He felt so embarrassed at the thought of being fed by his wife. He has not even experienced being provided for by his mother at home. How much more about asking someone he's just getting to know and live together? If there's a hole, he wanted to bury himself in shame.

"What are you waiting for?" Yin Rirri urged as she saw the hesitation in Yang Yueshen's eyes.

The man stared at the food she cooked for a while without moving, which bothered her.

"Is something wrong with your body? Are you not used to it? Or do you feel pain somewhere?"

"I-- I feel very awkward in using my limbs. It felt as if my body was no longer mine. And I-- I can feel my strength returning to its former glory, but I could not find any familiarity with my body's condition. It's like I am becoming an empty puppet-- I don't know what to do for a while."

"A puppet? Hmm-- let me do this first."

Yin Rirri moved forward, intending to touch Yang Yueshen's forehead and probe his body's connection with his soul.

But something else happened.
