No Redemption

Aria walked through the train. Each car more bloody and gruesome than the last. She walked past each face, each disgusting face, each face pulled and stretched, each body morphed into a wave of death, like they were warped around the small black hole, and turned into the image of a bent mirror.

She eventually reached the last car where the conductor sat. His face had a dazed dumb look on it, as he involuntarily pushed down on the lever, increasing the speed of the train.

Wooosh!

Wooosh!

Wooosh!

The train passed by station after station. People's stares. Strangers waiting on tracks, watching as sparks lit up in its blazed wake from town to town. Aria held tight, with the wind blowing against her long black hair. She looked out into the distance as her final stop was approaching.

The town of New Haven, Connecticut.

She reached out to the conductor, pushing him away from the lever, but he wouldn't budge.

Wooosh!

Woooosh!

Another train station was passed. Only one more left.

Smack!

She kicked the conductor hard, knocking him down to the floor. She then leaned up and pressed down on the train's brake lever with all her strength.

Screeeeeeechhhhh!

The tracks of the train came to a sudden screeching halt as everything went flying. All the bodies, all the guns, the mangled corpses, everything floated in the air, crashing into one another, like a falling elevator in slow motion.

Then it all went forward. Aria slammed forward, her body smacking into the side of the glass window.

Crack!

Black!

She knocked unconscious out as the train crashed into the final train station.

---

Gasp!

Damon woke up.

The pain.

The blue flames engulfing his body. He looked all around him, the bed of ash, of bone, of dust, of death. A tear rolled down his face in realization.

"I can't stop this... I can't... I can't stop them... I can't stop the murder... Why did I go up that mountain? Why did I kill those people? That town? Is it going to be another massacre?"

Damon looked up from his laying position. He looked at the crowds of innocent people outside. All their purple-eyed faces watching him, staring at his blue flaming body surrounded by human ash.

One of them pulled out a megaphone, "Damon, the Immortal. Tell us where the Immortal Necronomicon is, or watch all these people die?"

Damon stood up. His naked chared body burning and healing, over and over again. He pointed out his hand.

"This is Aria's dream... This is Luna's dream... These people? Aria is it worth it this time? To kill and murder, again?"

He looked at his palm. He pretended like Aria was talking to him.

"You're right... Of course, you wouldn't care."

Stomp-stomp-stomp!

The crowds stampeded forward. Jumping and crawling over each other. Storming through the shattered windows and open doors. Bood everywhere. They killed each other, stepped on each other, crushed each other, like a title wave of purple-eyed zombies.

Damon extended out his hand. He stepped forward. His eternal flames burning hot. He closed his eyes and focused on controlling his immortality.

Immortal Spell: [Continuous Re-Birth]

He bosted up his regeneration. Over and over again. Faster and faster. He started to heal faster than the eternal flames could burn. He started to regenerate so fast that the flames started to accelerate. He started healing so fast that they started to burn brighter, hotter, larger. All until they engulfed the entire store, the entire building, and the entire street.

Fwoooooosh!

All the purple-eyed humans we're caught in an explosion of eternal heat and flames. And as they burned and turned to ash, the screamed echoed in their waking nightmares. Death all around. And Damon walked through it all. The wave of crumbling bones falling around him, like a rain of volcano ash, and disintegrated blood as he walked through the waterfall of bodies. He left the grocery store and exited onto the street. He looked up at the flying Mr. Chain in the sky. His legs engulfed in orange flames.

"This was your doing?!" he asked him from three stories down.

Mr. Chain slowly descended to street level, "you needed a boost, Damon."

"You call this a boost? I feel horrible."

"But you did it for Aria and Luna correct?" he asked as he touched down on the ash-covered street.

"I did and I didn't... I don't know why I killed them? I want to say I don't have a choice, but at the same time... I felt ok doing it. I didn't care, but I cared. I don't understand... This feeling... Can you just... Get rid of these flames?" he pleaded with his bloodshot eyes caroused in an eternal flame.

Mr. Chain smirked, "no, who said you we're done yet. There is a city to burn, and you have an enemy to fight. And Aria's in the same predicament as you. So if you want her to survive then you best get a move on."

"An enemy? Fine... Where is this enemy?"

"Well... There is only one Mind Witch in the world. And to get this many targets and this far of a reach, he must be at a high vantage point. I'd say go to the World Trade Center, he's probably up there. But Damon, watch out... This Mind Witch isn't just strong. He is special, like me. He can swap bodies with just a glance. So if you want to kill him, you have to get him isolated and block his view."

"Got it." Damon stepped forward before turning back to Mr. Chain, "by the way. What I said earlier. Can you forget that. I don't... I'm still figuring things out. I just... I have all this anger and rage inside me that I just don't know what to do with."

Mr. Chain smirked back, with his hands tucked in his long orange trenchcoat, "everyone does, Damon. Everyone is angry. They just hide it."

"Hmph, I guess your right."

Damon turned back around to the largest building in New York City. He then started walking down the street but turning back around one more time.

"Oh, and one more thing, if you find Aria and she's in trouble, can you protect her. I don't have a good track record of-"

"I understand. But I'm going off the radar after this. So if you want to contact me, ask around for the orange flower."

"The orange what-"

Burn Spell: [Blaze Engine]

Mr. Chain disappeared in an explosion of flames and dust.

At the tallest point, at the tallest building in the city. A thin-boned boy was connected to hundreds of cables and transmitters.

He looked out over the city. His eyes a bright bright purple. He watched through the eyes of millions. Though windows and homes, around corners and shops, above rooftops and buildings. He could see from every angle, from every degree, from every person. He watched as the blue flaming man ran through the streets. He watched as his flaming ash scattered across the buildings, lighting up the morning skies into a blue tinge.

"Sister! Sister! Get me down from here!"

The woman in the schoolgirl uniform climbed up the tower and unconnected all the cables connected to the boy's back. She then pulled him down from his tied-up position.

"But, brother? You won't be able to control them anymore?"

"It doesn't matter sister. Mother, father. They wouldn't want all this death anyway... The Infinite Immortal man is coming to kill me. So I must reason with him."
