Section 81: I Have to Change
The lizard casualties mounted rapidly as the Black Iron Level and Bronze Level green lizards were the first to flee, followed by the entire herd in panicked retreat.
The Fat Ball Flying Fish pursued relentlessly.
A lizard, in a blind panic, ended up running straight to the hiding spot of Zhenjin and the others.
With no other choice, Zhenjin leaped forth and with three swift slashes, aimed at the same spot on the lizard's neck, killed it.
"Move quickly!" Zhenjin's face was grave as he covered for Cang Xu and Zi Di, helping them to fall back speedily.
His concern was not for the lizard but for the Fat Ball Flying Fish.
Green lizards could see them, yet human eyes were incapable of tracking their movements. Facing an invisible enemy left them at a severe disadvantage.
Even though the lizard had been killed by Zhenjin, the croaking sounds followed closely and were drawing nearer with evident malice.
