The first phone chat part one

Sitting on the window seat, Inesa sat there staring at the dark endless sky anxiously checking her phone every two minutes to see if she received any messages but she received nothing. She had left her new phone number on her updated profile information hoping that things would work out. She had prepared herself for this to happen but it seems that she hadn't prepared herself well for this. 

A frustrated sigh escaped Insea's lips as she wiped her tears with the back of her hands. She hated how weak she is, hoping for foolish things to happen. Even If this person was real, He would feel disgusted once he saw how she looks.

"I shouldn't have raised my hopes." Inesa whispered to herself as more tears slid from her eyes.

Inesa was aware that her being this way, this negative, this self-doubting, self-judging, won't get her anywhere. She should have been the one who's taking care of her father's company but rather than doing that she's sitting right here using her health condition as an excuse.

She had overheard the maids and servants around the house talking about her saying how long she was going to stay like this, living on her father's money, making no progress in her life. That day, Inesa quietly went back to her room and didn't come out of it. Ten days ago, she was aware that she was a useless human but she didn't need to say it out loud knowing that she could hear them.

At Vincent's hotel room. 

Placing his suitcase on the bed, Vincent started to pack his clothes as he will go back tomorrow to France, Though his own company was located in the USA, he needed to stay in France for a while to take care of the Cirillo company. The company work is going smoothly but he needs to check on the work himself, the company was entrusted to him to take care of it and he doesn't want to let down the man who offered a helping hand to him.

Walking towards the bathroom, Vincent gathered his things. He was the kind of man who likes to take care of himself, From moisturizing his skin to using healthy environment–friendly products to make his face look good, not in a feminine way. of course, and he has no shame about it. 

Once he finished packing, Vincent placed his suitcase on the floor and sat down on the bed, picking up his phone. Vincent made a few calls to free himself from the important call. 

Removing his slippers, Vincent placed his feet the bed as he lied comfortably on the bed as he dialed the

Back in Inesa's room.

Inesa was so immersed in her thoughts that the vibrating of her phone startled her.

An incoming call from an unsaved number!

Inesa's heart started to beat faster as she realized what was happening. The Night King was calling her via the app.

Inesa felt scared p, she didn't know what to do. Should she answer or not? And she answered, what is she going to say? She gets easily nervous and unable to talk when talking to someone she doesn't know.

All sorts of questions appeared in her head but with no answers, leaving her once again unable to take a decision just like she always does.

Inesa sighed in relief when the phone stopped vibrating but only to get startled when the phone startled vibrating again, Tugging her hair behind her ears nervously, Inesa picked up the phone and answered the call.

"Hello." 

Inesa heard the person on the phone say, in a Deep and calm voice, Unlike her.

"Hello." The man repeated as no one was answering.

All that Vincent was hearing was the sound of shaky breathing.

"H- hello." Finally, Inesa decided to reply and the second she did that her heart beats became faster and her body started to sweat, a sign that one of her panic attacks is about to start. 

 "I didn't expect to hear this pleasant voice." The night king compliment.

A pleasant voice, me!

He must have a hearing problem, Inesa thought to herself but somehow how this suddenly unexpected compliment put her at ease.

"T-thank you." Inesa thanked him.

She heard him chuckle and for an unknown reason his chuckle stirred up an unknown feeling inside of her that made her stomach tingle, but in a pleasant way.
