The Princesses

It was Yrea who found them.

Along the forest where we were tasked to take down a magic beast in rampant, Yrea sense a faint mana signature. A human form which she said to be in a critical state. I didn't hesitate and followed her.

Yrea's panicking too as she tried to avoid every branches, leaves, and roots lying on the ground. Since she's a bunny race, I also had a hard time catching up on her. She's too serious.

When we arrive, I saw them.

It was the princesses of the Brestia family. They're in a state I cannot clearly comprehend, lying in the tree as if they were trying to rest. I felt their pain, they are suffering.

Though I can say I hate their king, I can't say the same thing with these people. After all, they're innocents.

I didn't hesitate and run towards them, touch the two's arm and it felt a little cold. I've also noticed their skin has turned to pale. They are dehydrated and hungry. They might die.

"Yrea, please help me carry the other one."

"Okay!"

She didn't ask further questions, and instead understood the assignment and carried Elyisa. We then halt our adventuring went straight to the warehouse. There, I found the maids busy cleaning the floor while the workers seem to be outside working.

I immediately had the maids carry the two.

"Take care of them, stop what you all doing and give them utmost priority. They are hungry and thirsty."

The maids nod, our worry still persist. However, we can only let them do it and give my utmost prayer to my God.

Why the hell did it even happen. Those freaks, those fuckers. Not only did they kill a thousand of innocents, they even tried to make these innocent suffer. I promise, in my name, that this people's entire existence will vanish in this world.

Even if it cost their entire generation's life. All those involve will be held accountable.

You just wait, Onecelia. Your knees will fall before I shot your fucking head. And before all of that, I will kill your entire family, starting with your two fucking daughters.

Once we finished the task we accepted, we didn't rent a night from the inn. Instead, we head towards the warehouse. It was Yrea's suggestion since she didn't fully saw the entire acre of land I just bought. Because of her persistence, she was able to pursuade me to sleep here for a night.

When we came, the maids made a curtsy while the workers bow. The moment I saw the worker's formal greeting, I suddenly remember something.

The salute of the soldiers in this world and mine are the same. In sense, I can just teach them after they become a fully pledge soldiers.

Though for now, they can rest and do the chores here. An acre land is a challenging work, after all I only have five of them.

"Good evening, Master. We have prepared your lodging in expectation of your arrival. We have also prepared for foods deserving of your status."

To them, I am a master in comparison of a noble or king, but it seems they are greatly mistaken. Still, to be treated as such is no the same than when I am at the palace. I feel bad.

"Good job, you all should rest and we'll take care of them."

I ordered, which they comply but after a few moment of hesitation. In the end, they are still obliged to obey my order.

"I can't seem to understand how you were able to act like a true Master of them. Is that something you only know that you can't tell to me?"

I smile, wryly. Though I've always been like this, I don't really show it to her that much. I love her, and no way in my mind will I intimidate her using my own mouth.

"You seem to have begin noticing my true self, if you're curious, let's go upstairs."

I told her, which she accepted.

Here in the second floor is all beds and no room. Probably because no one has yet to set up or build each other's room. There's no privacy at all. But that's also a good thing since we do not know what might be happening to those within the room.

Far beside the window to the front is the bed where two girls lied in bed. They sleep in peace which made me a little worried. They are too thin and dehydrated that can kill them any minute. I approach them with silence and Yrea followed.

I grab each of the girls hand, felt a little warm so I let go. I sigh, relieve that both of them are now a little bit stable. The maid must've made them eat and drink, they did all of their best and I can only send gratitude to them for now.

I gave them an impossible task yet they manage to do it. I will have to give my best to to give them their rewards.

"How are they?"

I heard Yrea's gentle, yet worried tone voice. I look up at here while I sit at the girls' bed, I can see the worried expression her.

"Don't worry, they're fine."

I told her and gave her a reassuring smile. She smile back.

"So, do you know them?"

I didn't hesitate to tell her the truth, it was, after all, the best decision I can think of.

"Yes, they are the daughters of the Brestia King. Ruler of the Brestia Empire, I don't know how they got here, but their father might've already died.

And probably, the only thing they can do is escape from the palace and run here without knowing someone will find them."

I comb the hair of Elysia, when I do so, I remember the first and last time I saw her. She was cheerful, full of life. She's the same as the kids I remember back in my world.

She's a normal kid. Unfortunately, they decided to make her suffer.

And for what cause, for ego, for pride, for greed. They don't know but their power can only amount to nothing.

"They're resting peacefully."

I mutter to myself, but seem to be heard by Yrea.

"Yes they are."

"They suffered."

"They did, but thanks to you, they were able to finally rest. I'm sure they will thank you when they woke up."

"No, it was me who caused this after all."

Suddenly, my body was forcefully turned by the strong and serious Yrea.

"You don't know that! You did nothing wrong at all! If you did, they you must be defending yourself or trying to avenge someone. You are not someone who will cause this!"

"Sadly, I am. Yrea, soon you will find I'm talking about."

I hug her, I have no desire to fight with her in this kind of situation.
