Chapter 6

He attacks the zombies and he attack the zombie and they start fighting.

As the fight gets more intense, the clothes on his body gets torn in multiple places.

The fight went on for two more minutes until he cuts the head of the zombie.

Just as he was about to kill more zombies, his eyes start turning from red back to white.

David suddenly opens his eyes. He was just getting ready to kill the zombie, then he can't remember after that.

Suddenly looking around, he notices all the zombies on the floor and then looks at his clothes, only to notice tears on them.

"Don't tell me I was scratched? "

As David was thinking this, he didn't know that three people were looking at him right now.

"Did he just kill all those zombies? " Asked tony.

"Yes, and did you see how he split them all in one move, except the last one! " Answered peter.

"I had never thought someone would be that strong, so soon. "

Saying this with a weird light in her both of her eyes, Stephany looks at david.

Just as they were looking at David, David had checked his body and noticed that although his clothes were torn, there were no actual scratch on his body.

"I should probably get out of here. "Said David as he carries the shield and his machete and runs back.

Looking at this, tony, peter and Stephany then decide to follow him.

After running for more than three minutes, he arrives at his house and then rushes in. Not forgetting to lock the door, he immediately run upstairs to freshen up.

Tony and the rest had reached the house and debate for some moment before deciding to come back tomorrow to see this expert.

As soon as the decision was made, they then decide to go back to their temporary house.

As David was busy bathing.

[Ding... Ten zombies have been killed.]

[Main quest: kill ten zombies is completed.]

[Reward Acquired: Level up x 2.]

Just as David was busy looking at the page before him, he starts feeling very very hot and uncomfortable.

"Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! "

Suddenly shouting, David falls to the floor shouting and screaming.

Right now, David is experiencing so much pain that he faints and wakes up again. This keeps happening for about five minutes.

After the five minutes, David faints again on the floor, Unbeknown to him the changes in his body.

David right now is covered in black substance his body having been broken and fixed, and remolded to be the ultimate body.

Two hours later.

David slowly opens his eyes, too weak to even move, David tries and tries to move his body without success.

Still trying, David successfully moves his body and heads to the freezers containing food.

Arriving there after some minutes, David uses his head to open the freezer. Biting the fresh meat in the freezer, David starts slowly eating it.

More than six minutes later, David has enough strength to stand up. Wobbling, as he tries to stay on his foot, David shakily moves to the room.

After arriving at the door, he slowly opens it and walks inside. Nearing his bed, David gives out and falls on the floor as anyone would when they've neared their goal.

They will suddenly relax a little bit and will find it harder to reach their goal, this is a thing that a lot of people do, so don't blame him if you would have done the same.

Crawling to the bed, david uses the last ounce of strength in his body to try to go up. Shakily but surely he makes it to the bed and can now enjoy a very long sleep.

Trying very hard to make himself sleep, David tries closing his eyes but eventually opens them.

David tries counting in his mind and then he imagines different foods but that just makes him hungrier.

"Black birds sing in the dead of night. "

"Take me too and learn to fly. "

"All your life. "

"You have only been waiting for this moment to arise. "

David starts singing, as he remembers his parents used to sing this to him when he was a child.

But then he grow up a bit and stopped them from singing it, and till this day he regret it all.

He regrets all those times he argued with his parents, the times when he said what he was not to.

Right now, all of his regrets were useless as it won't even matter.

David feels sad and then recalls his childhood with his parents and all the things that they had done together.

As he remembers his childhood, David would sometimes laugh or even cry, he would repeat some things he parents used to say.

And like that, David slowly fell asleep, a happy smile on his face, a truly unusual and even rare action in the apocalypse.

A glimpse into what makes him so happy.

"Catch me if you can! "

"David stop, just wear your clothes and come inside. "

"No, I don't want to wear them, you can't catch me so you can't make me. "

"George, David come inside and eat. "

"Yes, I'm coming. "

"So it's like that, when I try to get you inside you won't but when your mom does you obey."

"Mom cooks, baths me and even feeds me, you only sit on the couch and watch football. "

"You little... "

Just as David was feeling happy in the dream, a ring suddenly sounds and wakes him up.

Opening his eyes, david sat upright and then notices that it's morning already.

"Did I sleep so long? " Asked david.

Just as David was thinking he overslept, the door is rung again, reminding him that there was somebody downstairs.

Going to the security room, David turns on the electronic screen and sees tony, peter and Stephany.

"Why are you here? "

This voice reaches the ears of tony and the rest. And Stephany who was standing at the front, gave a friendly smile.

"Sir, we would like to thank you for clearing the zombies. "

"Your welcome. "

David said with a casual tone, then added.

"If there is nothing else, goodbye. "

"Please wait a moment sir. "

"Is there anything else. "

"Well, we don't have much food. "

"I don't have any food. "

Stephany, not minding their failed attempt to get food, she continued.

"We are affiliated with the military here, and we have a challenging mission. We wanted to ask if you could join us. "

"Goodbye. "

From the fact that David is twenty four years and lives with a dog, you can easily guess his personality.

After ringing again, Stephany is disappointed since she knew the deal wouldn't go through.

This is because, the master of the house was a very powerful awakener and was worth roping in.

But if he was unwilling, there was nothing to be done as they could not go in and force him.

She turned to look at her teammates and they left.
