Frozen Time

In the blink of an eye, three months had passed since Alex became the second adventurer to reach gold rank. The world now knew of his achievement, and as his popularity grew, the Crown Group benefited from the free advertisement provided by the guild.

Within a month, the Crown Group had become an economic powerhouse with influence across the kingdoms of Lestia, Ryle, Roadmare Union, Horn, Nokia Hannock, Elfrau, Palouf, and Lihnea.

Alex's life had become busier than ever. In addition to training, paperwork, and negotiations with high-ranking nobles, he was also dating Princess Hildegard, so he would take her to some dates occassionally around the world.

Alex had also learned everything about science from the level 7 civilization where DragonX originated. He used the device's direct data transmission feature to learn quickly, and his enhanced mastery increased its speed.

Through researching magical energy, Alex had discovered some interesting theories. He found that everyone had the aptitude for practicing magic, but due to their poor talent, they appeared to have none.

He also discovered that if someone had the aptitude for an element and knew the mechanics of the spell, they could invoke it without using a chant.

After researching this, Alex was capable of using any type of magic with a simple thought, creating true no-chant magic.

He had previously been able to use no-chant magic for elemental spells, but now he could use it for any spell he knew about.

This more efficient approach also strengthened the strength of the spell.

Currently, Alex was in his workshop beneath the castle, researching his new project, "Magic Power Conversion." The goal was to convert various forms of energy, such as solar and electrical energy, into magic power and finding a better source.

However, he had reached a bottleneck and needed to find a better source for power.

Some might ask why he is researching this now?

Alex's current inventory of artifacts demands a substantial amount of magical energy, which is not easily accessible to many.

As a result, all the artifacts are powered by battery-type crystals, which is also a product sold under the Crown Group.

At present, the magic power supply for these batteries is sourced from the magic power reactors on Alex's island.

These reactors convert the surrounding magic power into a storable form, creating a continuous supply of energy.

However, using magic power reactors for larger projects is not feasible. Therefore, Alex is actively seeking a better source of energy. One alternative could be liquid energy, discovered by Doctor Babylon.

But, as magic stones are limited and rare, like fossil fuels on Earth, it is not a long-term solution.

Why solar and other energies well because he has a lot of knowledge regarding it hence using advanced techniques he could harvest a lot of energy using scientific means and create a near infinite source of energy.

Hence, Alex is currently investing his time and effort into finding a connection between solar or other renewable energies and magic power to ensure a renewable and practically near infinite source for magic energy.

He could use it to develop a proper network for energy transfer and monopolise the whole energy market by himself if he was able to pull this off successfuly.

Alex, who was engrossed in his research with the assistance of Alfred, suddenly froze, and not just him but also his summon Ouroboros and Hilde, who were playing together in the garden. The Pegasus flying high in the sky also froze, and everything came to a standstill, as if time had stopped itself.

It was as if someone had stopped the time itself.

Despite being frozen, Alex's body unconsciously reacted against this strange phenomenon.

Alex, who was supposed to be frozen, wasn't completely immobile, as his body unconsciously resisted the phenomenon. His hair grew longer and became spikier, and white gold sparks formed around him, giving off a divine and majestic aura.

The space near Alex's body began to collapse, and he regained control over his own body, but he still couldn't move.

Despite his best efforts, Alex couldn't break free from the frozen time and eventually became so exhausted that he began to lose consciousness.

Before losing consciousness, Alex heard a familiar voice say, "Hohoho, to break free of my spell? although I used a negligible amount of my divinity, you have certainly grown a lot, young Alex."
