Tragedy
"The rain is still falling" Jessica utters and everyone looks over at her even though she can't be seen clearly in darkness.
"You can stay back if you want" Johns suggest, his voice deeper. Abi wakes up from next to him.
"I've been wondering. Why does she appear in school if she died here? And how come nowhere else?" Nice inclines, her voice muffling.
"That's because she was a student from BHSC who died here. So she can only roam in these two place." Evan explains
"Make sense"
"Ok, let's move the fuck outta here" Johns mutters and they stand.
Jessica wakes Koryn up and the driver does same towards the lady on his side.
Everyone goes out successfully, stepping on the high way. They start running and luckily everyone is paired. They run and run almost about to cross the boundary when Jessica springs her leg and falls.
Koryn doesn't help her partner in rising up but keeps moving forward. Jessica groans in pain and Evan hears ahead. He turns around and sees her far behind. Koryn being her partner left her all alone.
He looks at Nice and she is hesitant to let him go alone. He kisses her forehead and instructs her to entangle with the others. He pivots and goes after Jessica who is struggling to walk on her feet.
Now Koryn is alone. The ghost flies with full speed and takes her high. Above the sky then leaves her to fall. She comes down with full gravity unto the ground, breaking into pieces.
Nice occasionally looks back so she sees Koryn on the floor. She covers her mouth trying to suppress her screams. Evan carries Jessica in a bridal style and runs with her, the best he can.
He passes Koryn's body and Jessica sees it. She shouts, and remembers that she is not supposed to scream. She sobs.
Everyone else has reached the boarder and crossed the line but Evan is still going ahead. Mrs. Daigle hears sounds out her car and opens her lids. She was already drowning into sleep.
Could that be what she's thinking? She shakes the lady by her side. The lady quint opens her eyes, looking around and thinking it's already dawn.
Something traps Evan's fit. And his pace slows down. Nice can't take it anymore. She runs back and Jessica get off his arms, her legs being strong due to anxiety.
"Evan" Jessica says.
Nice is coming forward "Evan!" and he sees her.
"Go back!" he orders but she doesn't stop. He tells Jessica to move ahead and Jessica obeys hesitantly.
He looks down at the animal trap. How did it find itself here?
Struggling to get out of the sharp iron, the trap tightens. He groans.
Nice stoops down "OMG" she exclaims.
His fit is bleeding seriously.
"I told you to stay back!" he roars, and she brings her gaze to him.
"But you know I can't. You know I can't leave you like this."
Her hand holds the trap and it wounds her. He gets angrier "Why did you touch it?!"
"I must get you out of here Evan! I will not go back" she is stubborn indeed.
"Fuck! I hate you so much right now. If anything happens to you I swear I'd kill myself"
"No one is going to kill no one"
However, the truth is, someone will die amongst them. And that person is Nice.
She struggles along with Evan to get him out of there while the others wait in panic. Jessica is on the other side and Nice's mother has gone dawn the car.
It's still dark. No one can see what truly happening on the other side.
Once he is out of the trap, they try to run back, reaching the boarder, but a tree falls. Nice is slow to notice it coming directly above her but Evan sees before hand.
He pushes her ahead before her senses registers the log of wood on the ground. She looks back and sees...Evan laying under it helplessly.
His eyes sinking in darkness as he stares at her, tears dripping out of them.
"NOOO! Evan!" she wants to get closer but her mom grips her away and out of Elmont.
Evan is gone. All of them sob bitterly.
"Mom, Noooo! Let go of me!" she screams struggling to get out of her mom's grasp.
Johns robs his face, staring at his brother unbelievably. His only brother. Jessica is speechless and guilty. If she didn't fall Evan won't be dead.
"Emma you killed him! Why? Why did you? He was a good boy. I loved him!" Nice can't understand her feeling right now. Pain is an understatement to her trauma.
This great tragedy has destroyed her life.
"All the people you killed did nothing to you! You are wicked! And you deserved to die!"
"Stop it Nice" her mom scolds.
"You will never change the fact that you are dead! You are gone and you will never come back! Never!"
A voice shouts and echoes far away. The cook sees her sister and embraces her. They walk into the car and drive off.
Mrs. Daigle keeps staring at her daughter through the rare view mirror but Nice is in a pool of tears, glaring blankly through the window.
Abigale robs her friend, trying to comfort her. But nothing they do can mend her heart, soul. She wishes she is the one who died.
'If something happens to you, I'm going to kill myself'
His last words recite in her fresh memories. He finally killed himself for her. He sacrificed his precious life for her. Jessica looks at Nice with remorse. She admits that Evan loved her and she loved him too.
She couldn't stay back when Evan ordered her to leave but Nice ran back. She wouldn't have done that.

Later that day, everyone of them goes to their dorm and pick up all their stuff while Mrs. Jana looks at them remosefully.
Mrs. Daigle doesn't say anything. She just let the kids do as they wish without interrogating their principal for what she already knows.
Mrs. Jana and the proprietress are the roots of evil doing in this school and every child who died back in Elmont was a victim for it. They must face the law. It all begun from Emma's dead. Now, ending into many deads.
Their parents come over to collect the kids, including the Junior high schoolers. Evan's dad can't believe what his son Johns tells him.
"I'm so sorry Jamal" Victoria comes from over his shoulder and he turns to stare at her.
He is bewildered. The world is indeed a small place. After seeing her, he can't but accept that his son is gone. He shakes his head and turns to stare at the school building, tears forcing it way down.
Johns face is still soaked with tears, his eyes red and wounded. He places his hands over his dad's shoulder, tightening his grip.
"Let's go dad. I can't stand this place. I'm going to kill someone"
His dad sighs and gives his boy a swift nod. Victoria is speechless, her cheeks stained as she stare at them entrying a Mercedes Benz.
She already helped Nice get her things into the car. Nice is just seated on the passenger's side, staring at an empty space absentmindedly. Thinking of Evan. She can't believe what's going on around her.
Abigale is taking by her mom after hugging Johns and they all leave the school lot almost the same moment.

Nice arrives home and her dad calls to find out about their doing. He stops work and drives back home to see his family. Sam is happy to meet his sister but Nice is cold. She stopped speaking from when she ended her screams.
Sam is sad. He doesn't know what is happening to his sibling. His mom carries his and gives him something to eat, distracting his focus.
Her mom explains everything to her husband once he arrives home. Nice stays in her room all day, exiting to be around people. She has no appetite. All she wants is Evan. But that's impossible.
...
Mrs. Jana and the proprietress are held for the dead of all those kids. Because they practiced witchcraft and occultism. They are sentenced to life imprisonment.
Later on rumors are spread that they died after being poisoned by their fellow prisoners. Nice has not been herself since Evan's dead. So nothing anyone says can make her feel better. Johns stops going to school. His dad has money to get him private teachers so he learns from home.
BHSC was locked down and the government commanded forces to clear the city of Elmont. Everything went well and constructions was done to rebuild the city and captivate people back to the once abandoned town.
A community was gained after deforestation was made in some areas of the strange land. However, the ghost of Emma remained in the land forever!
