Snakes know daytime!
04:25pm,
"I actually thought you wouldn't show up!" Jada asked as she gulped a glass of scotch, while two hefty men stood beside her, one on the left and the other on the left.
"Never say never!" I said with a faint smile, to be honest, this woman looked cunning.
"That's true, you just never can tell when it gets tough on the highway." She said, if this was a proverb then I really don't want to understand it.
"So why did you call me? How do you even know me? And don't you dare say Khaleefa's wife, 'coz I know that. You know what I mean, don't you?" I straightened out
She chuckled
"You have every reason to be mad at Carol, Danni. You see, Carol had sinned against me, my family and you too. And all you do is fight for a family that hasn't paid for your time and energy. You work harder on people around you than people who can put their lives on the line for you to live by."
"How do you mean?" I looked confused
"You understand me Danielle, you're only scared to admit the truth to not just me but yourself. Do well to have fulfilled years ahead without stress. You don't have to fight for grown people who know nothing but power even if it takes them to scurry into rash and audacious decisions, am I right?" She reminded. Her words were soft and cold, you'd believe every word she says, it seemed like hypnotism to me
"Ok, Jada. Whatever you think it is that I don't know at the moment is none of my business actually. I don't have a hand in none of your shit. Work on yourself!" I said blatantly. She smiled again
"Are you sure you really have no hand In this? Well, without much pressure; I want a truce for your dear friend." She requested while she lighted a cigarette, I was pissed.
"Truce huh? You should have saved yourself all the lectures and hit the point!"
"Exactly. I don't negotiate without basics, I believe its important."
"Ok, another lecture. What's the main deal?" I asked
"Oh you're interested?" She said in sarcasm
"No, I just want to hear. To make sure I didn't waste my time coming around." I said with a smirk. Her face looked angry, I could see it. That's exactly what I wanted, a squeeze!
"Hand over the proof In exchange for Eric's transparency. What do you think?"
"Eric is not some sort of money or asset, he's human. I really don't need to negotiate
with you about his release..." I was defiant
"...Then what will?" She sharply cuts in
"The truth!"
"The truth huh? You say it like its overly easy to come about, Danni its not. You should be thankful that I came through with good intentions. I don't need Eric, its Carol and Pete I'm after, despite what he's done; I still got a large heart. You can have Eric. Isn't that fair enough? Is it so hard to be loyal?" She requested displaying her egoistic nature
"Absolutely fair, Jada. Its one thing to be loyal and another thing to be loyal to you. I keep my word but many snakes in the jungle don't! They flicker like a bulb's light, unsteady." I addressed coldly
"Snakes know daytime, isn't it?" She fired
"I don't know about cold blooded moistures!" I added with a beam, then I gulped mine finally after a few words
"More reasons why I'd love to do business with you, you're impeccable. You know what you want regardless." She praised
"Keep the glory, I don't need it."
"Do we have a deal?" She inquired
"I'll think about it, its not just time to die." I politely declines
"Three days is graceful. We don't want Eric perishing while she lives comfortably."
She might have sounded brilliant, calm and unpredictable hut it wasn't an opportunity to give into her demands. She was like a snake, she didn't have to howl or groan, she only had to hypnotize you with her calm, sweet and gentle words, in the end, you fall into the biggest trap. I tried to be careful on the first day we conversed.
I drove to Carol's place immediately, in as much as I wanted Carol to pay, Jada's intentions towards Carol was up for the worse, and I wouldn't want that for her.
"Tell her I need to talk to her, its urgent!" I scolded, they didn't want me interrupting Carol's free time
"Please ma'am, we can't let you in." Robin I insisted
"Do you really know what I'm about, Robin? I've never faced you for a chit chat nor a trivial quiz, let-me-in!" I instructed
"Alright ma'am! You look hot anyway!" Robin said, I didn't know what to tell him at that point
"Your girl ain't doing any better!" I said, I didn't care if it was the dumbest response ever
"Robin, I need to be alone!" She said while she faced the wall instead
"Not this time!" I said
She turned around to her surprise, she looked sad
"Danni?"
"Who's Jada?" I asked without pleasantries
"Have you met her?" She asked calmly
"Do you realize that you're about to die?" I told her directly
"What do you mean?"
"Get Eric out as soon as possible, he might reconsider coz if you let me or Jada handle this, there's nothing for you. Jada is here to stay not play!" I advised fiercely
I walked out without listening to her petitions. I drove away.

07:26pm,
Lola invited me for cookies, i really wanted us to remake.
"Its been crazy lately how we allowed this happen again..." She began with a glass of wine
"We keep doing that over and over again..."
"...Danni, I'm sorry..."
"...Let me talk! You misunderstood me and I did likewise, could we just cut the chase and get back to normal?" I requested calmly. Before I could realize a thing, she hugged tightly that I could feel my heart beating faster than usual.
"Ok bissh, good to have ya!" I added and we laughed.
We walked to the living room holding our glasses and cookies, Lola baked. One thing I could never let off Is her cooking, She cooks marvelously.
We sat on the could folding our legs facing each other.
"So LaLa, what's up in that pretty heart of yours? Huh? Don't tell me nothing!"
"...I actually wanted to tell you about it...Err...uhm" she stuttered with an unending smile
"Cut it Lola! Tell me!"
"Lionel proposed!"
"Oh....My....God! You're joking!!!" I exclaimed in excited "Welcome to the gang! Yes, marriage's got some pretty bad times but marriage is not what they say it is especially when you both love, understand and trust each other. C'mon girl, this is lit!"
"I know baby, are you some marriage counsellor right now, coz its worth it." Lola teased
"I know that, I'm actually working on it. I've got my ass up to know what's up...." We laughed
"So tell me one thing, what's marriage to you? I mean you're more experienced Than I am so...." She inquired
"Somebody's in need of my advice, I'm proud of myself though." I teased then I cleared my throat then continued "if you ask me about marriage, its never a bed of roses; its actually a bed of thorns and do you know what fascinates me more about it?"
"What's that? If its a bed of thorns then why am I...." She started then I cut her in
"....I love the way it hurts!" I added simply
"For real? I think I love the sound of that!" She cheered
"Ok, let's take you out then."
I followed her to the bedroom to change up and if course, change up. She wore this rose gold shape wear and a Louis Vuitton heels, matching her purse. Her hair was a straight golden ponytail while make over was quite explicit. Her jewelries were glittering. I teased her about Lionel doing a great job taking proper care of her.
Already, i had a Louis Vuitton baggy wears on and this newly dropped Nike X Louis Vuitton sneakers. Few months ago, Jamal had a iced out out Cuban links with out abbreviations inscribed on it 'DJJ'. He got this done for us including little Kareem then my hair was wrapped in neat bun, I don't do much but I do everything possible to stand out and now we were set up for a nice time out. Along the way we invited our men over, the good looks couldn't go for waste.

"Hi Eric!" Jada called calmly
"Who are you?" Eric asked, she was a total stranger to him
"I'm Jada, your savior!" She smirked
"Stop that savior shit and get to the point!"
"Exactly. What if I told you that I could get out in no time...."
"I've heard that million times, you ain't new!"
"...that you could do just one thing and its win-win for you?" She added regardless
"I'm not even interested, Jada!" Eric flared
"Thank me later dear. I know you killed my father but from the goodness of my heart I could get you a replacement, someone who would pay for your sins, someone who deserves perdition someone who deserves to die; i could make this bars more heated than it has been for you and hurting Kayla would make me glad. Reconsider my offer now that I'm happy because when I get sad to mourn my father, it'd be a chunk you can't swallow. Are we clear?" Jada looked serious
Eric was confused and terrified
"Are you threatening...." She began with stutters
"...Are we clear, Eric?" She asked again regardless. Crossing path with women like Jada was a big horror. Now he was left at his own mercy, he thought about giving in or giving out especially when she mentioned Kayla, he'd do anything for Kayla. Can he do what she's asking or play the safe and truthful?
