I decided to go to talk to Kate I felt guilty in trying to rush into things before asking but Dillan and I found an opportunity and took it. I walked outside and spotted Kate sitting on the stairs looking into her journal. Umm...hey she quickly turned to look at me and frowned. "You don't have to come out here to try and convince me, I made up my mind, I'm going. I wasn't going to... wait your coming, a smile rushed across my face. "What changed your mind". I just figured there was nothing left for me here and it was selfish of me to try to hold you guys back I apologize. No need to apologizes I didn't think to consider your emotions. So… when are we heading out Mr i've got a plan. I held back a smile it was good to see that she was somewhat still humorous, "Actually we leave tomorrow we have a surprise for you. Kate frowned "who told you. "Dillan Robbie said holding back his laughter did you think I wasn't going to find out your birthday was today. Kate smiled but the smile quickly faded as we saw a girl 10 maybe 9 limping towards us. "Ya Allah" Kate muttered under her breath that Robbie could not understand. The girl continued limping to Kate and Robbie, Yusaeid! Yusaeid! The little girl screamed as she approached. I could barely what she was saying but Kate was Muslim and learned Arabic in her past Islamic schools she tried to teach me once but I could only understand a couple of words and I knew for sure that yusaeid meant help. The girl's clothes were torn and she didn't look hurt but she was crying and from the looks of it running from something or someone. Help please help the girl changed to English, "what's wrong are there roamers? I asked. Yallah said Kate to the girl as she walked her into the store. Kate gave her water and sat down and talked to her she finally changed back to English. I was running from roamers, she explained when a group of boys came and helped me and took them out. I thought I was safe when they took me to their base and they started to tell me to d-do things I didn't w-want t-to. Tears ran down the girl's eyes, and for the first time since we've been here, I saw one go down Kates too as she put her hand over her mouth. I tried to say no a-and he starts yelling at me saying I was ungrateful and he slapped me and pushed me to the ground I kicked him off and ran as fast as I could, I don't know if he was still coming o- she was cut off as she looked out the window, I looked too and saw the group coming. Dillan and I quickly got up so did the older two girls we went outside. As I walked, I grew angry, that even after the world had been turned upside down there were always things sicker than zombies...humans. We walked up to them. They looked to be a few years older than us 18 maybe 19 but that didn't bother us. We are just here for the girl one of the boys said, well the girl doesn't want you and frankly I don't think she should go to you. Oh yeah well I don't care this has nothing to do with you. I walked up to him and spat in his face, he tried to throw a punch but his friends held him back. They walked away saying she wasn't worth it anyway. We ignored him and went in the store to our friends, as we entered the building Dillan laugh as though he held his laughter for years, he turned towards me and put his arms as if he was flexing and started walking around the room I'm Robbie and I'm a mad man so don't walk up to me cause I'm a mad man, he finally sat down and held his stomach. I gave him a playful smack on the back and said you just wish you were me. Although I played and joked I still couldn't bear the fact that the world is broken and we keep trying to put it back up all the king's horses and all the king's men… but I don't think the world is something we can put together again.
