Chapter 50 Reason

"Why did this happen when you should have defeated the nightmare wolf queen without any complications or harm to your shelf?"

"Do you know if I don't come here to see if everything is fine, you will be dead right now if I don't see you in that situation and use teleport, get you close to me, and use barrier to keep us safe?" As she said that, sera remembered how difficult it was for her to use teleport and barrier magic in such a short amount of time; if she were just a little bit later, Laila would be burned into that explosion.

When Laila heard Sera yell, she just smiled and said, "Then I should be dead; to keep Lucifer safe, I can even sacrifice myself for that." She was just smiling, no doubt or fear on her face, as if she wasn't terrified of dying.

As this word reached her ears, her face became frozen, and she didn't know what to say. Sara has known Laila since childhood; she has raised her, she knows everything about her, she knows how tough she was, and if she decides to accomplish something, no one can stop her.

*sigh*.

"I'm sorry, I just lost myself, but you also know that from your childhood I have raised you, and just seeing that your life is in danger, my heart hurts, and I have seen you as my child, and a mother can't see her child die in front of her eyes," sera said as she moved closer to Laila and smoothed her hair.

Feeling sera's small but gentle hand on her hair, she turns her head to find sera's eyes are moist, and tears fall from her eyes to her cheek.

Laila wiped Sera's tears away with her hand, adding, "I am also sorry, sera; what I said I shouldn't say to you; I know what I said now makes you a lot sad."

While saying so, she looked at the large hole in her front. "But if I don't do that, the entire village, my daughter, you, and my son Lucifer will die here, and no one will know how we died." Her expression became sad when she said that.

Sera, who was listening, questioned her, "What do you mean by that?"

"Sera, you are right, I can kill that nightmare wolf queen without hurting myself, but when I was fighting, I felt the presence of a person; that person was just some distance from the battle field; she was just observing my battle with the wolf queen while using my hiding skill" .

"But I was able to find her, and when I found that, I began to think about why someone was hiding there and observing my fight. Then I saw that nightmare wolf queen who was in front of my eyes; she was about to become a gold-rank beast, but still she came here and also with her own people. Why?" saying that Laila looked at Sesa and inquired

"I'm not sure why," she says in answer.

"That woman who tried everything to kill me but failed, she injured me so badly that I never recovered from that wound, if you were not in my life," she added, putting her palm on her tummy and feeling her core return to normal.

But when Sera heard it, the air surrounding her became forceful, causing anybody to flee; her eyes were blood red; her ears grew larger; and pressure came from that, causing everyone in front of her to kneel.

But Laila was still sitting on their ground, very comfortably, without feeling any wind or pressure, but when she saw that, she realized how horrible sera fury is, saying, "I am going to kill that woman; she clearly broke her promise," as she turned around and was about to depart.

Laila, who was sitting on the ground, grabbed her hand and said"Please don't do that; we don't have any evidence to prove that she did this, and there will be lots of trouble after that. Then they will know that Lucifer has awakened his power, and they will try everything to harm Lucifer, and that is the last thing I want".

Hearing Lucifer's name, sera was able to calm down and return to normalcy; she looked at Laila with worried eyes and said, "But Laila, what are we going to do about this? Are we going to leave this? Thinking that nothing has happened, I don't think that they will leave us like this."

Hearing Laila's smile "I know, that's why I think about a brilliant plan. When I was fighting that nightmare wolf queen, I tried my best to make them believe that my core was still damaged and I was barely able to fight a sliver-level beast. For them to believe more, I was going to damage my core and fight to the death" .

"But when I feel you getting closer, I think another plane, and in case I don't have too many injuries, I try to use my strongest attack on nightmare wolf, so she also uses her most powerful full attack, and just as I predicted, nightmare wolf queen uses windball energy blast, their race's most offensive skill."

You can just dodge that attack and you will not be injured; just your core will crack, so why did you do this".

As Laila listened, she grinned because she knew that if she just looked at magic or an attack, she could tell what was going on. "Yes, I can dodge that, but if I do, maybe that woman in the dark will not leave the village, and we don't know if she has anyone with her or if she tries to investigate our village," she said.

"So for the beast, I did everything I could to make that woman run, and when that blast happened, that woman ran like someone had stepped on her tail, hahaha hah," she said, and Laila burst out laughing.
