Third point of view:
The plains were still. The only moving thing was grass that was gently swaying in the wind. On one side of the plain was 3rd Raikage who stayed behind alone to hinder Konoha shinobi and their hired mercenaries from destroying his beloved brothers in arms. His force. His responsibility. He stood proudly and unrelentingly, without a shred of hesitation. Even the ten thousand strong army on the other side of the clearing couldn't make his afraid. The shinobi in the larger force though? They were shivering under the gaze of 3rd Raikage. The man who single-handedly fought Eight-tails to a standstill.
By now, they stood there and looked at each other for an entire hour. A was content to just waste time. The more time he bought, the further his allies could retreat, after all. But this was just ridiculous.
"If I don't engage them fast, they will start looking for a way to go around me."
He muttered under his nose and made his resolve.
At first, he just walked and was slowly speeding up. The sight of his unhurried speeding stroll was quite honestly making his opponents shiver in fear. By the time he was rushing straight at them, few guys from the hired mercenary groups started to run away from their fear. There was no one who didn't know about his strength among them. A was getting closer to the range of long-ranged Ninjutsu fighters, he knew he can't let them suppress him with long-ranged Ninjutsu. His blood started to boil and a savage grin split his face. The battle started. Lightning spread through his body and clad him in a blue aura as he held out only three fingers. The second his Chakra Mode activated, he disappeared from the view of his opponents.
Reappearing in the middle of their army he started to pierce through them with his fingers like a knife through butter. Fountains of blood were flying through the plain. Corpses flew through the air with high velocity creating even more corpses as they impacted people. As for the 3rd Raikage? He was unscathed. A guy who can withstand Bijuu Dama with his body can't be injured by weak-ass C-ranked Jutsu after all.
The battle continued as more and more of the fodder died. The higher-ups of Konoha were very aware of what they did when they sent these poor souls against A. They served them to Shinigami, still warm and crunchy. The plan was hanging on sacrificing most of them in order to tire A out and kill him when he uses up his chakra reserves. And so, the slaughter continued.
At the end of the first day, the force lost more than two thousand men to A and he still wasn't stopping. By now more than a thousand of his opponents deserted out of fear. The more they fought, the more cripples were created. It was a sorry and sad sight, to be honest. A, however, didn't mind the blood or corpses around, he just relentlessly jumped into the fray as he hacked, smashed, and pierced his opponents with fervor. But, in the end, it was obvious he was getting tired.
By the end of the second day, he managed to kill only around 800 more men. Here they were. A vs a little more than 5000 remaining ninjas. Almost half of the enemy forces already died or deserted the fight. The remaining shinobis were not much different from a sniveling mess by now. The ground was red and the blood flowed like a river through the plain. It was filled with puddles of blood that made just standing there incredibly uncomfortable. Torn limbs and corpses littered the ground as even more blood filled the plains. A didn't mind, not really. He had the time of his life. Finally. Being able to go all-out was a priceless feeling.
The end of the third day was nearing and A was almost running on fumes. It was time to use the sealing tags. A was proud of his little genius. Not because it helped the village. Not because it will bring more revenue for Kaminari no Kuni. Not even because he can brag about him to his friends. It was simply because he knew that the future of his cute nephew was limitless. He knew the little squirt would eventually surpass him. That was all he ever needed. He wouldn't really mind sacrificing himself here and letting the next generation take the reins but he promised the little guy he will return. And return, he will.
In the last burst of speed, he quickly sought out the biggest gatherings of shinobi and as he passed them he threw an activated tag into them, unleashing hell on the earth. The tags exploded and torn apart anyone in their way. It didn't take him long to finish throwing out the tags. Thirty seconds at most. But in those Thirty seconds, more than a thousand shinobi died and countless more were crippled for life. A bailed as he smugly with the corner of his eye burned the stunned and despairing expressions of the Konoha shinobi to his memory. It was the birth of a new legend.
Normal point of view
Fortunately, uncle A returned alive. Well, Kumo killed him off anyway. Figuratively speaking. It was announced to the world that he passed away because of his 'injuries'. Haaah. Seriously. The council should improve their bullshitting skills.
He was only diagnosed with chakra exhaustion. Not even a scratch marred his body. Well, it was obvious to anyone with at least an inkling of sense that he is still alive. That didn't really matter though. Brother A became the new Raikage and I had to attend his inauguration. What a pain in the ass. But, do you want to know what was a real pain in the ass?
Killer B. That's what! I met the guy and fixed his jinchuuriki seal to make it more comfortable for Gyuuki. The guy was so thankful he spent the next six months, I had to be in Kumo, with me, rapping into my ear! Next time he needs to have improvements done on his seal, he will have to find someone else! I don't take rapping as payment, dammit!
Why did I have to stay in Kumo? For my safety, they said. It will be fun, they said. You will learn more about being a shinobi, they said. Bullshit, I say!
It was also the truth that I furthered my shinobi training in Kumo. I focused mostly on my Lightning affinity and tinkered even more with Fuinjutsu though. I was making another world-breaking seal! It got me all excited! Bwuhahaha!
Sadly, I was mostly pressured, yes pressured, by Killer B to learn more about Kenjutsu. Well, I started to use thin straight one-edged chokuto. After all, Sasuke's sword was one of the things I really liked about the Naruto series so I was like, why not? While my sword was no Kusanagi, I at least dabbled a little… Ok, scratch that. Because my teacher was Killer B I was actually forced to dabble a lot in kenjutsu.
But, I had to give it to the guy. I learned a lot and was happy for it so much I actually made him a seal where he can comfortably carry his seven swords. I also understood that while I love kenjutsu and slashing stuff with my chokuto, I am not a swords person. Oh, I will definitely use it. But only to toy with people and look cool!
The war entered a stage where it could be called a stalemate or cold war. We didn't really fight against each other with Konoha anymore and they could fully focus on Iwa. It was obvious the war was at its end.
That didn't matter for me though. I returned to the capital right after the news of Minato's slaughter of Iwa's forces and the official end of the 3rd Great Shinobi War. Geez, they could at least give him a better name than Yellow Butcher. Real original guys… Sigh.
