She straightened her posture. "Thank you so much" she thanked, staring at Theos' face.
'He's smiling at me!' she mentally shouted, her bright eyes fixed on Theos' smile.
Like Teressa, Nora had never once seen Theos smile at her, so seeing his smile, though very slight, she saw the natural radiance and beauty of that smile.
"You mustn't thank me," he said politely, making Nora's heart pound.
"Ah... Yes, Happy Birthday, brother," she congratulated after coming out of her shock, causing each of the guests to react as well.
No one had congratulated him directly!
They had presented their congratulations to Theos' parents but none directly to Theos; his dazzling appearance made everyone forget to congratulate him, and then Alan made a scene, making everyone forget.
