Chapter 95 Left for good

“Thank you doc, I appreciate”

“You are welcome, just take it easy, I you it hurts but you have to take it easy on her”

“I understand” Paul said and the doctor left.

Paul sat down away from Christy thinking about what will happen to them now that the operation has been done, how is he going to bribe his way out of his mother’s hand.

Christy was discharged to go home but she insist that she will be going home with Bridget and mother instead of Paul saying she did not know who he is.

“Is ok, their mother told Paul, “ let her come with us, I will bring her back but for now let her come with us”

“Is ok, Paul agreed as he will have more time to convince his mother that he has left Christy for good”

“You’re back son” his mom rush to hug him.

“Mom, where is dad?”

“Are you not happy to see me?”

“I am, I just wanted to see him I have something to tell him”

“He went out of town but will be back in two days”

“Ok, so when am I going back to work?”

“Anytime my dear anytime” she was so happy running around putting things in place and preparing food which Paul refuse to eat because he wasn’t happy.

“You really need to eat you know” she said knowing why Paul refuse to eat but she is not ready to talk about it.

The next day Paul prepared to go back to the big city and resume work, this time he is determined to be his own man, he will no longer live under the influence of his mother.

Bridget could not understand what has gone wrong with Christy, why she changed so much, she is no longer timid she now speak without fear, and her boldness has become something that scared Bridget.

“Christy do you remember your daughter Sharon?” Bridget ask to know if she has started regaining her memory but Christy just looked at her and walk away.

“Am I not talking to you?” Bridget ask yelling at Christy.

Christy turned and gave her a serious warning.

“If you dare shout at me again, I will give you the beating of your life, do you hear me?”

Bridget turn back to see if Christy was talking to her.

“Are you serious?” She ask almost whispering because it seems Christy wasn’t joking when she said she is going to give her the beating of her life.

“Let her be” their mother told Bridget.

“Where are you going?” she turned to ask Christy.

“Am going out, I saw a sigh post about fashion designing and I want to apply, I like fashion” she told her mom.

“Ok, you can go” she turned to look at Bridget who just open her mouth in surprise.

“Is she ok?” Bridget ask her mom.

“How will I know? But she looks ok to me, is just the change of attitude that’s all, if not she is ok”
