Eden internally heaved a sigh of relief. That was all the encouragement she needed. Jonah cared about working through things together so he probably wouldn't blame her for bringing this up. She hoped. 

She rinsed and spat out the remainder of her toothpaste before taking a deep breath and saying what she needed to say. "I've been freaking out for the past three days because of something you said and I needed Aubrey to talk some sense into me but here goes nothing. I don't want to have kids unless you're the father!"

He stared at her blankly. "…what?"

Ooh, she wasn't explaining this right! That wasn't how she meant for that to come out at all but she had such a hard time forcing herself to speak that the words were not forming the way she wanted them to.
