That Will Totally Ruin My Street Cred

Megan's phone dropped out of her hands and thudded to the floor as she stared up at Troy in horror. Oh. Oh no. Her bad day just got so much worse!

The guy fixing her busted air conditioner was the songwriter she had admired for nearly ten years? And she had met him while drenched in sweat in her pajamas? This was terrible. She was never going to be able to recover from this and have a proper musical conversation with her idol now! 

"Kill me now," she whispered to herself in anguish. 

"What was that?" he asked from inside the vent. 

"Nothing! I didn't think I would ever get to meet you. Let alone under these particular circumstances."

"That makes two of us. Do you mind not telling anyone I fix ventilation systems at 3 AM? Because that will totally ruin my street cred. I'm only working here because this is marginally better than being Freddie Funnington."

Megan snorted. That was completely unexpected. "You were Freddie Funnington?"
