Chapter 72 - Mr. Ray

 "Did he probably leave because he did not want to see me?" Esme cried silently.

"No my dear, Reynard would never do that.

"Then why didn't he at least just come inside? Esme raised her to look at Rena. ''Even if he is now a Demon, that wouldn't stop him from checking on us right?

"Calm Down dear"  Rena hugged Esme.

"Maybe he hates me now and was trying to avoid me."

"Don't overthink." Rena pats Esme's back. "Reynard didn't blame you even when he was dying.

"Then why has he gone away from me?"

"We have no explanation for why he left or what is going on with Reynard at the moment but I am sure we'll get an answer soon. 

  Esme Knelt by the grave and took a last look at it. "I hope so too"

"Let's go in" Rena helped Esme up and led her back to the house but Esme kept looking back as if expecting Reynard to come back and all that happened would just be a very funny dream.
