Within a huge and spacious classroom, a young man with short blonde hair sat at the last seat, while he dozed off from time to time.
" Madara!! You're sleeping in class again!! Tell me exactly what I just said or you're out of my class!!" The teacher, a man in a three piece suit with short black hair angrily berated him which caused all of the students in the class to turn to him while some of them laughed.
Looking at the teacher with a lazy expression he said; " Curses are born from negative emotions from humans and their level of strength depends on the intensity of the negative emotions. Mankind was basically food for these curses until the first Jujutsu sorcerer arrived, and taught men how to manipulate the same negative emotions that created curses to exorcise them.
At first, his teachings were shunned by society at large and he was ostracized by the public, however he and a group of trusty followers held on to their beliefs and protected mankind from the abominations. The group later became known as Jujutsu Sorcerers." Madara quoted the teacher word for word, causing him to sigh as the entire class looked at him in disbelief.
" Why are the intelligent ones always the lazy ones." The teacher rubbed his temples in exasperation.
" However, this theory is incorrect Sir." Madara spoke out once more with a smile, causing the other students to grow restless.
" Go on." The teacher sighed. " There are two inconsistencies with that theory. For example; Ryoumen Sukuna, the so called king of Curses from the Heian Era, he was a human who became a curse. He wasn't born from negative energy like his brethren. Also not all humans diffuse negative emotions. Sorcerers in fact use the negative emotions to empower their cursed energy. Hence only non sorcerers diffuse negative energies from their bodies." He said and rested his hand on his cheek.
" Sigh. Let's continue with the class. " The teacher sighed once more. He had gotten used to Madara's smartass so he didn't really mind his contributions in class.
" Hey man, do you always have to rub it in my face all the time?" Beside him, a young boy with a scar from his forehead to his right eye said with a sigh.
" What did I do?" Madara said while he looked lazily at his mate. " At least you could've told me what you wanted to say so that I would say it in your stead, you know, so that the girls look at me too." The boy said with a facepalm.
" I don't have time for your antics Ichigo." Madara sighed and placed his head on the table and closed his eyes.
Over the past few weeks, school had gotten really boring for him. The only productive thing he had done so far was probably learn loads and loads of martial art techniques which was probably useless because without cursed energy he would be toast when fighting against a curse.
He wasn't able to go on missions like his classmates did, due to not unlocking his cursed energy. His foresight showed no signs of progress as well. Now he could use it for barely six minutes thrice a day, and he could only see about a days worth of events from the future.
He was getting really depressed. His initial joyful and optimistic attitude had turned dull, uncaring and indifferent just like Nanami his neighbor though they both had different reasons for their attitude.
What even annoyed him to the extreme was the incessant bullying from the males in his class. One time, he was so angered that he had almost killed one boy from the class and was suspended from attending classes for a week.
" Ding!"
After an hour of lectures, the bell rung and it was his favorite time of the day. Closing time. He packed his book into his bag and left first.
" Hey man wait up!!" As he walked through campus admiring the beautiful scenery, he heard an annoying voice calling his from behind.
" Why do you always come here after class man. I know the scenery is good and all but still doesn't it get boring sitting here and just watching the lake?" Sitting right in front of a beautiful lake, his annoying friend sat beside him and began his incessant talks.
" Sigh. Shut up. " Madara only spoke two words which caused his friend to immediately keep his mouth shut after which he closed his eyes and enjoyed the peace and quiet.
...
" Hey. Still no progress with your Cursed Energy?" After a few minutes, Ichigo asked with concern.
Madara nodded without opening his eyes.
" You know, I really admire you my friend. If I were to be in your position, I would've gone mad, even suicidal at a point. Living in a world where there's no guarantee of seeing the next day and not having any assurance sucks. " Ichigo said with a sigh.
" Before I awakened my cursed technique, I ostracized by my clan, and only my sister took care of me, tiring her body out every day just to make sure I got money for food, and now when I awakened the ancestral lightning Cursed Technique, they want to make me Clan leader. Can you believe—- hey hey where are you going man?"
Ichigo started to narrate his life story and was getting all sad but before he could finish, Madara was already stealthily walking away as he chased behind him in a frenzy.
