MISSION HOSPITAL

Shrey indeed gave us a new ray of hope by reminding us about medical crimes. Though we know that our next move is to search for evidence or clues in the hospital, but how? We were all sitting around the dining table as though we are in a round table conference and discussing about the global issues.

Akash was waiting for anyone of us to speak something related to what are we going to do next. Mathew and Catherine were in their own world holding hands, giggling, etc, this couple hasn't come out of the honeymoon phase even though they have been together since high school. Shrey was playing with his pen while Krish was intensely staring at me. And I was thinking hard about what should be our next move. The more and more I think, the more and more I become hungry.

I kick Krish's leg and he turned toward me. I rub my stomach, push my bottom lip out making it a pout and blink at him continuously.

"If you are hungry just tell me, instead of giving me looks like this", he said rolling his eyes.

"I want pizza", I demanded

"Not again, you have been eating pizza for the past five days."

"Order placed", Mathew announced

"Catherine you are lucky to have a great husband like Mathew, look at mine absolutely worth for nothing", I said

I paced all around the house as I was waiting for the meal to arrive.

Soon the pizzas were delivered and all of us were all ready to gobble them down. When Krish was above to grab his slice I slapped his hand away and take it in my hand.

"That is my slice", he said

"It is not good for your health and you have been eating pizza for the past few days. So, Mr. Krish Malhotra please go, prepare some green, veggie salad and feed yourself", I said to him in the utmost careful tone. Though I was faking it and even he knew it, I tried to make it sound real.

"Huh, now she uses my words against me", he mumbled

"What?"

"Nothing mam", he said and ran to the kitchen.

Mathew and Shrey were annoying Krish by waving their pizza slices in front of him while he was grumpily munching the vegetables.

After we finished eating Shrey asked me for the details of the patients who died all of the sudden. I immediately called Riya.

"Megha, what the hell is happening? I landed today morning and the first thing I heard was about Rohit's case. Why didn't you call me at that...", she went on rambling without any break as soon as she picked up the call and I cut her long talks.

"Breathe Riya. I need help from you", I said

"Tell me"

"I want you to send me the details of patients who died abruptly like Geetha, Rohit, etc"

"Why?"

"I am trying to find the person who is behind all this crap"

"Okay. Give me some time I will send it to you"

"Do it as soon as possible"

"Take care Megha", she said and hung up.

We all sat around my mobile waiting for Riya to send me the photocopies of the files. We sat up straight as my phone went on and I grabbed it assuming that it would be a message from Riya, but no it was some random advertisement asking if I am interested to buy any home appliances. I threw my mobile on the couch with a long sigh.

"I'll check who that is", Shrey said as the doorbell rang.

He went opened the door and I heard a loud, familiar female voice. God! It was RIYA, I'm sure that she is here to lecture me for not informing me about all these before. As she started walking nearer to the living room, to be precise she was walking towards me and I ran and hid behind Krish.

"Megha, step aside", she said.

"You know, I am pregnant and you are not supposed to scold me", I said as I went on my toes, placed my head on Krish's shoulder, and gave her my best puppy eyes.

"I'm not buying that. What do you and your husband think about yourselves....", she complained and scolded us for the next 10 minutes, "Now tell me what the hell exactly happened", she said with her face already red with anger.

Then Krish explained everything without even missing out on any minor details and she was giving incredibly different facial expressions which were making me laugh. After listening to the whole narration of why I hit the breaking news and how is the mission 'Prove the innocence of Megha", she wrapped her hands around mine and Krish's neck and muttered that this all is going to be fine and will get over soon. She patted our back a couple of times and stepped back.

"Who are these two men?", she asked pointing at Shrey and Akash.

"He is Akash, Rohit's boyfriend, you know he is a very sweet boy and he is staying here only now because I didn't want to let him stay alone", I said pointing to Akash.

"Hello Akash, sorry for the loss", she said and he nodded his head

"And this well-built and as tall as giraffe man is Shrey, the inspector who is working on Rohit's case, and let me tell you something, I have no idea who made him a policeman because I see nothing but only a package of stupidity in him."

"Did you just insult an inspector?"

"No, I was just stating the fact, right Shrey?"

"Don't mind her mam, she has been calling me that for a while now because while listening to Akash and Rohit's love story I got more involved in it and forgot about the case. I'm inspector Shrey, currently hand in glove with them to find the guilty", Shrey said

"I see, by the way, I am Riya, Megha's best friend", she said

"Nice to meet you", he said and shook hands with her.

Then she walked to her car and brought the files. She placed some 5-6 documents on the table. We were all staring at it in silence.

"I need you to find the common things among these", Shrey said, pointing at the files and breaking the silence.
