We spent the next half an hour we compared all the files and made a list of the common factors among the deceased patients which were:

"Seems like we found the fix", Shrey said

"Who?", Mathew questioned him

"Dr. Akhil"

"Isn't he the one with whom Steve is in love"

"Yes"

"No way Steve would date a murder, so Shrey you are wrong"

"And for your kind information first of all he is my colleague and second of all nobody who is working in my hospital would even think of harming anyone", I said

"Megha", Shrey called out my name after taking a deep breath.

"Just because he is one of the common factors, that doesn't mean that he would have done all this"

"Okay then let's try this, we will check other things in case Akhil turns out to be found in those also, then he will be my suspect"

"Shrey do even know what you are speaking, he is a doctor for heaven's sake"

"There is no harm in trying Megha"

"Do whatever you want", I said

I and Akhil have been working together for a few years now. He has always been dedicated to his profession, and as per how much ever I have noticed, he has always kept giving others medical treatment as his priority. He has even come to treat patients at late nights, early mornings, and most importantly even during the time he was on leave. Moreover, Akhil is my friend and Steve's boyfriend so even if he is the culprit, he would have confessed it the moment when I was framed as the reason behind the death of Rohit and hit all the headlines and breaking news.

It was time to pick up Sahana from school. Krish and I were on our way to her school. He was driving while I was sitting on the passenger seat with my eyes closed. All of this is so stressful. He interlocked his fingers with mine and said, "Let's give it a try"

"But Akhil...", I started

"We don't want to leave any stone unturned right", he said and I nodded.

As we arrived, I saw Sahana already waiting for us, She got shocked as she saw Krish and me stepping out of the car. Probably she was expecting her parents.

"Megha mausi", she shouted and ran to us with a wide smile plastered on her face. She stood right in front of me and kissed and caressed the baby bump.

"Hello, babies. How are you both doing? I missed you so much", she said to the seeds growing inside me.

"They are fine Sahana, and. they also missed their elder sister so much", I said as I kissed her forehead and she giggled.

She hopped near Krish and held his arm. If I'm right she is going to ask him to buy her something now.

"Can we have ice cream today?", she asked him. I know this girl pretty well now. By the way, her demand for ice cream made me crave it now.

"No", he said in a stern voice

That's unfair how can he refuse to buy ice cream, it was an innocent request by her.

"Krishhh", I dragged his name

Sahana and I looked at each other and discussed what to do next and how to convince him, just by exchanging looks. Then we got our plan. We started to continuously say 'Please' in unison until he agreed.

"Okay fine, I will treat you to ice cream", he said after a long sigh and we both smiled and gave a thumbs up to him.

After devouring a good amount of frozen desserts we were on our way to drop off Sahana at Mathew's parent's house. She has been sulking ever since she got to know that we aren't taking her with us to our home. She even gave us an order that she will never stay with her grandparents alone after her birthday because she has been spending a lot of time with them it seems and the whole drive she went on complaining about how we don't love her anymore, care about her and many more things. We were listening to her ramblings, god knows how long.

We reached home after dropping off Sahana. I opened the front door and entered the house just to be welcomed by Shrey gawking at me because he wants to know if I'm completely fine with proceeding with the plan to find out if Akhil is a suspect or not.

"Shrey I am fine with this but, if Akhil turns out to be an innocent then you have to face me", I agreed to him continuing with a warning.

"If it turns out like that", he said mockingly and I smacked his head.

"I need to ask you a few questions", he added

"Don't tell me you are suspecting me also"

"No way idiot"

"Okay then I will give you your answers"

"Do you have the stock for Acetalminophan in your hospital?"

"Yes but very little"

"If I'm not wrong it is a suicidal drug, right?"

"Yes"

"Then why do you have the stock of suicidal drugs in your hospital?"

"Because it can also be used as a medication for a few rare chronic neuro diseases"

"I see"

"Yeah"

"Can anyone easily enter the room?"

"Only the working staff can. By the way, we can get the information about who entered the room at what time but we can't find what medicine they have taken from there"

"Then that's great. Call Riya, and ask her to check which all medicines stock is lesser than the amount it was filled in there and the names of people who have visited the room from the past one month", he said and I did the same

After a while, Riya called me and informed me that only one shot of Acetalminophan was less and only Akhil has visited that room in the complete past month.

That means there is a major probability of Dr. Akhil is the murder. What the hell was this?
