BECAUSE I AM HAPPY

It is been days since Mathew and Sahana shifted here. Since then the atmosphere of the house has become more pleasant. Every Friday we went out and weekends were filled with games, movies, and whatever Sahana wants to do. The only worry right now is Mathew, ever since he made me his sister and adopted Sahana he has sacrificed a lot for us, even though he gave up on Catherine and even got separated from his family. I walk out of my room praying to God to show him a very good life partner for Mathew, who could love and take care of him the best. It was just 9:00 in the morning but the dining table was already filled with numerous dishes. Dishes of different cuisines. I catch a glimpse of Mathew wearing an apron so it means he is the one who has cooked all this but why has he cooked so much and from how long has he been cooking and why does he want to flaunt his cooking skills today?

"Morning bro is someone visiting us today, you have prepared so many dishes", Krish asked Mathew, when did this guy come I didn't even notice him.

"No, nobody is visiting us today, I was happy so cooked all these", Mathew answered with a wide smile

"Share your happiness with us also"

"I'm getting married", he said

Wait, what did I hear him properly he is getting married. Wow! I'm so happy to wait but who is that girl? Do I know her? Have I ever met her? When did his marriage gets fixed, I am with him almost all the time then how come I had no idea about this? Is she beautiful? Megha just stop thinking and ask him all your doubts directly instead of questioning everything inside your head.

"Megha I am standing right in front of you so will you please ask me your questions instead of troubling your small brain", he said. Wow! Now he can even read my mind, he is becoming very talented.

"That girl is none other than Catherine, she had called me last night, she apologized to me for whatever happened and said that she wants to get back with me because after our meeting in Sydney, she has been struggling with the memories of our past and so she has decided to marry me and be a mother to Sahana. I accepted her proposal because nobody is good for me and Sahana other than her. I also told her that I won't leave Megha for her and she told me that she wants to apologize to Megha for past behavior and hope that she can be a good friend to her." he explained.

"Wow! That's great", I said happily. My friend who has been with me in all my bad times has been a pillar of strength to me for the past few years, he was the one who made my life colorful when I was in utter darkness and now he is getting her happiness back.

After breakfast, Mathew asked Sahana to get ready for school and that's when I realized that I had to visit the hospital for a regular check-up today. Krish said that he would pick me up after his school timings for the check-up.

We were in the hospital that day at around 3 pm. The doctor performed a few general tests and did an ultrasound in which we could see the child inside me. Krish was super happy seeing his kid and held my hand hard. The doctor informed us the kid is completely normal. On our way back home Mathew called me and asked me to pick up Sahana from school.

"Krish we have to pick up Sahana from the school", I said to him

"Okay", he answered

"By the way, my morning sickness has been stopped"

"Good news it means that from now you can eat nicely"

"Yup", I said

We picked up Sahana and drove back home. Krish helped her with her homework while I prepared some sandwiches to eat. While eating sandwiches Krish came up with an amazing idea for a trip. He wanted to spend more time with me and also he wanted to have a good time with Sahana and take her on a nice and enjoyable trip. Krish discussed it with Sahana and me after a few google searches he finalized a perfect plan later I called Mathew to inform him about it.

"Mathew, listen we are going on a trip to Coorg", I said to him excitedly

"No I can't make it, you take Sahana with you guys", he turned down my plan. How dare he?

"Why?"

"I can't take leaves"

"When you went to Sydney and when you roam around with your daughter you can take leaves but when your sister wants to have a trip with you, you can't make it. You have changed Mathew you don't love me anymore. Do you remember I am your sister? Sorry, why I am even asking you this when I know that you don't care about your sister anymore." I played my sister's card very well I guess. I am sure now he has no other option other than accepting to go on the trip.

"Stop with your melodrama Megha, you know that I love you more than anyone"

"Then prove it by coming to the trip"

"Okay fine", he said "As though I have any other option", he murmured and cut the call. I smiled widely with the feel of victory.

Then I took Sahana along with me for an evening walk. We walked to the nearby park, I sat on the bench and watched her playing. After she finished playing we decided to have some milkshakes and so we marched to a shop in the neighborhood. There in the shop only chocolate and strawberry-flavored milkshakes were available.

"Sahana which flavor do you want chocolate or strawberry dear", I questioned her

"No mausi, I don't want neither of the two", she answered

"Why dear?"

"I don't drink any other flavor milkshake other than banana"

"Ohh, I see I had no idea about this. Do you follow the same while having ice cream, juices and all"

"No mausi only for a milkshake", she said.

Then we went back home and as a family, all four of us together planned the trip.
