43. In My Worries for You
Shaga opened his eyes but quickly shut them again as a sharp pain shot through his head from the sudden onslaught of bright light. It was painful and embarrassing; he hoped Adrian would never find out why he was there. Luckily, Shaga was still alive.
"Shaga, are you awake? I'm here," he heard a gentle touch on his hand, and he began to feel the Alpha pheromones of Adrian surrounding him, which temporarily eased the tension in his head, just before Adrian started bombarding him with questions. "Tell me where it hurts. What do you need? Should I call a doctor? Do you need some water? Do you need to use the bathroom? Do you feel like throwing up?"
The pain in Shaga's head radiated from his forehead, spreading throughout his entire skull. He gripped Adrian's hand tightly, his nails digging into Adrian's skin, and he glared at him until he stopped asking so many questions. Shaga sighed in relief and closed his eyes again.
