In Danmachi with an Overlord System (BL)

Check Asking her to have an OP system and OP Naruto World’s powers? Absolutely fucking NOT’ Alec felt his left eye starting to twitch. When he died and met the supposed Goddess, he asked for something very simple: to be reborn and have a harem of hunk men to have fun with. He didn’t ask for any adventures nor to have some absurd powers. He knew that something was wrong when he told her his wish and her eyes went wide open and her face morphed into a perverted expression, and even some blood started to run down her nose. He assumed that she was a perverted woman and a fellow soul who appreciate the genre. Voyeurism wasn’t anything unknown to him, and he was willing to let her watch if it meant having hunk men around to have sex with. He was a kinky bastard after all. They have an agreement, but no, the bitch had to screw him over and take his hunk men from him. At least she had the decency to use copious amounts of lube if the system and his OP powers were of any indication.

System

Alec quietly made his way out of the underground chamber and the church. When he was out, he was hit by the chilling air of the night, and a small shiver run down his back. The streets and nearby buildings were lighted by the bright moon that hung up in the sky. Despite being ten in the evening no one was around, at least not in this part of the city. After all, there wasn't anything fun in abandoned buildings and deserted streets. Some would even say that it was dangerous hanging around such places.

'Calling them buildings is too generous' Alec thought.

Wherever his eyes landed he would find rubbles, half destroy buildings, and desolation. It seemed that the Church where they lived was one of the only buildings still standing. No one in their right mind or with enough resources would willingly choose to live in the area, and Hestia and Alec were lucky that no shady people lived near them. Despite that, Alec thought that there was some potential. With enough money and some magic, the place could be revived, and it would be an advantage for him. He could have a base of operation and by going a bit further he could make money by opening shops and selling his products. He could open bars and restaurants. He was willing to be that the Guild would sell the surrounding area for very cheap. They would be happy if someone would be interested in renovating an abandoned part of the town

Alec let out a self-deprecating sigh.

'That is just wishful thinking and I'm getting way over myself.' Alec knew that he had the potential to accomplish that goal, but before that he had to invest in production classes, and even before that he had to go into the Dungeon, earn money, and level up.

It all seemed far away, but in his grasp at the same time. It was confusing and a bit frustrating.

This wasn't what he had in mind when he was told that he could have a second chance at life. He explored the system a bit, before heading out.

He started as a Level 105 due to the interference of the Goddess that gave him OP Naruto powers.

5 Levels were in the Otsutsuki race class, which means he had access to all their race traits which include, but were not limited to:

v Dojustu: Byakugan, Tenseigan, Sharingan, EMS, Rinnegan and the Rinne-Sharingan-

v Nature Transformation: Earth, Fire, Lightning, Water, Wind, Yin, Yang, Yin-Yang, Ice, Wood, Lava, Dust, Explosion, Magnet, Swift, Crystal, Steel, Dark, and Storm.

v Abnormal physical strength and regeneration. Unparallel chakra strength and reserves, or in this case mana.

Apparently, that was what the Goddess said. She was 'kind enough to send him a message through the system explaining things to him.

Generally speaking, the Job classes gave him abilities, skills, magic, jutsu, and knowledge. The same could be said for the Race classes, but in addition to that, they would give him the attribute of the race he invested level in. For example, if he was to invest levels into the slime race, he would be able to turn himself into one, but it wouldn't change his outer appearance if he didn't wish to. If he invested level in some demon races, he would get horns, but he would be able to hide them. It was a simple matter of what Alex wanted.

'And she turned me into a basic bitch' Alec sighed defeatedly.

He was now like one of the protagonists of the fanfic he used to read. He was given insane abilities for no reason, not that he was overly complaining. It was relatively cool with him, as it would allow him to have an easier time having fun, but she did warn him of something crucial.

The level he gains through the system will not affect his stats. This meant that even if he was a level 1000, he wouldn't be able to defeat someone who was of a significantly higher level than him. He couldn't fight a Level 6 or 7 as a Level 1. What the Race and Job levels affect are his skills and abilities

The strength of his magic and jutsu, as well as his body, are dictated by his Falna Status, but it doesn't mean that there weren't ways around that. Through magic, he could buff himself and debuff his enemies. Through skills and abilities, he would be able to bridge the gap between levels, and one must not forget that his stats max at 1500, and he has the boost of his Level 0 stats.

Normally one wouldn't be able to rise stats at that level, but to accommodate his 105 level of power, the Goddess decided to boost his body. Furthermore, there were numerous skills and abilities to boost one's magic and body, in addition to the meta magic enhancement.

He wasn't overly worried.

As Alec continued his nightly walking, he cast his mind to a few hours before.

After leaving the Guild, Hestia decided that they should celebrate him joining her Familia, and Alec readily agree. Hestia brought him to a nice little restaurant that served good food for cheap, and she even offered to pay. Alec felt oddly touched by her generosity. He knew very well that her finances were in dire need of an infusion of money. He was even more surprised that even after a lot of alcohol she managed to keep her word and pay. Alec was ready to pay for them, he had 100.000 Valis in his system and it wouldn't have been a problem.

They went a little overboard with the beer, but they didn't care at all. Well, Alec didn't care, he was sure that Hestia will in the morning when she will woke up with a killer headache. They spent a good time together, and that was all that mattered. In addition, Alec promised to take her out to celebrate his first successful day in the Dungeon.

Alec had to walk fifteen minutes before finding a building in good enough condition to serve his purpose. He wanted to be alone and be sure to be away from prying eyes. He would have stayed in the Church if he was sure that Hestia wouldn't have walked on him.

Alec carefully entered the building. It was made of old grey stone; moss cover a large area of the floor. It seemed abandoned, but one could never be too cautious, so Alec quickly searched the entire structure before sitting at the center of the room.

He wanted to understand better his system and powers before he had to crawl the Dungeon. From what little he was told; he knew that it was tied to the World of Overlord. He read the light novel written by Maruyama and he watched the anime, and he was familiar with the mechanics and terminology used. He would gain levels by killing monsters, then he would be able to invest them in various Job and Race classes, and he remembered that there were a lot of them.

'Inventory' Alec called out in his mind hoping that there was something in there waiting for him. Most of the time there was a starting pack or something.

He found out that the inventory was divided into subcategories.

[Inventory:

Weapons.

Armors.

Items.

Materials.

Accessories.

Outfits.]

'Interesting' Alec smiled to himself as he started to search his inventory. Once he was done, he wasn't disappointed.

He found some interesting things. In the weapons section, he found 1000 Kunai, 1000 Shuriken, 100 Flying Raijin Kunai, Sasuke's Sword of Kusanagi, and the Executioner blade.

The regular kunai and shuriken were classified as a [Top] tier or [A] class items. While the Sword of Kusanagi and the Executioner Blade were at the [Legacy] or [S] tier.

In the armor section, he found the Akatsuki Cloak and was shocked to see that it was classified as a [Divine] class item.

Finally, in the outfit section, there were a Jonin and an Anbu uniform, complete with a kitsune mask. The Jonin uniform was at a [Legacy] level, while the Anbu outfit was of a tier higher, [Relic] or [SS].

Alec was relieved to see that he has some powerful gear. He was thankful that he didn't have to go into Babel's store and lose time, he was very eager to dive into the Dungeon.

Alec decided to spend a couple of hours trying out some of his new power and abilities to not be completely ignorant coming morning. Once he was satisfied, he made his way back to the Church.

Once he entered the underground room, he noticed that Hestia was still blissfully sleeping. He undressed down to his underwear, as he had no pajamas to change into, he had to sleep like that. Luckily, he wasn't shy.

He was about to lay down when the black backpack caught his attention, and he couldn't stop the little smile that formed on his face.

Alec grabbed it and opened it to check its contents, but after a moment he frowned a little.

Instead of ten small potions, there were twenty, plus a small dagger and a belt to go along with it.

'It seemed that someone likes me' Alec's mind wandered back to the handsome man at the Guild.

He found it strange that he went so out of his way to help him. Don't get him wrong, it was nice but definitely weird.

Alec wondered if he was like that with everyone or if he was a special case.

After a moment he shook his head. It wasn't the right time for such things, he had some study to do.

He wanted to read and memorized the relatively small book.

Thankfully he wasn't put off by it. He was not in no way a genius, but he didn't find studying too difficult either, especially if the topic was interesting. Through hard work, he was able to get good grades and be at the top percentile of his school.

It didn't take him too much to read and memorized it, thanks to his Sharingan. After which he was done for the day and tried to get some sleep since he had to bring breakfast to Mr. Kang early in the morning.

Alec opened his eyes and grunted loudly. It seemed that he had gone to sleep just a few moments ago, but in truth had been three hours, but despite the little amount of sleep, he was already up.

It was something that he developed through the years, like a biological clock, he would wake up at five in the morning. It didn't matter the amount of sleep he had; he would be up at five sharp. Sometimes he loved it and sometimes, like today, he hated it.

He looked at the unfamiliar ceiling and abruptly stood up. He frantically looked around; his vision was not at all impaired by the barely lit room. Just like a few hours ago, Hestia was sleeping on the uncomfortable looking bed.

And then it hit him.

The realization that what happened yesterday wasn't a dream, but his new reality.

He sat down on the couch and took a moment to collect himself. He died and then he transmigrated to Orario. He joined Hestia's Familia and now he was headed to the Dungeon to slay monsters and earn money.

'It sounds weird. If he was still back on Earth, he was sure that he would lock him in a nuts house he dared to say that something like that would happen to him' Alec let out a humorless laugh as he took a moment to mourn the life he left behind.

He had friends, his team, and plans for the future, but everything went to hell when he was hit by a damn truck. At least he had no relatives nor parents that would mourn his death, that way they were spared the feeling of loss. He was sure that his friends and teammates would be saddened by the news and would even mourn him, but eventually, they would go on with their lives and he would be mostly forgotten. He would just turn into a story and a long-distance memory of something tragic that happened a long time ago.

At reunions or at outings with friends someone would say "Do you remember Alec?".

At which someone would say "The kid that got run over with a truck?".

And everyone would insert their two cents on how tragic his story was and how he was too young to die.

They would pity him.

On Earth, he already become a tragic story of a kid who had potential but was struck down in his path. His national wins wouldn't matter, not anymore, not when he wasn't there to achieve greatness.

Since he was little, he and his father, often joked about how one day he would win the gold medal at the Olympics. Before joining the school team, it always seemed just a dream, but after three Nationals winning under his belt, he started to believe that he could.

He believed that one day he would be able to realize his dream and make his dad proud, but now it was impossible.

His dad was gone and now he was too.

He became irrelevant and died without leaving a significant mark on his home world.

He was startled when someone gently lay a comforting hand on his shoulder. He was sitting on the couch, leaning forwards with his hand covering his face, and apparently, he was crying or better, he was full-out sobbing and most probably that was the reason why Hestia woke up.

When he looked up, he was met with Hestia's concerned face. Her eyebrows were furrowed and her eyes were carefully searching him. Despite just waking up her eyes were clear and alert, devoid of any sleepiness.

"Sorry," Alec muttered and he quickly dried his face.

As he stopped thinking about such depressing topics, the tears started to stop as well.

Hestia didn't say a thing, she limited herself to drawing conforming circles on his back with her hand.

Alec found it very comforting and started to relax.

After a few minutes, he was face to face with Hestia, who was regarding him thoughtfully and seriously.

"You know that you're not obligated to go into the Dungeon, right?" Hestia stated softly, but there was no denying that there were both conviction and worry in her voice.

"Yes," Alec told her immediately.

Alec knew that Hestia wasn't the person who would force someone to do something like that.

She nodded.

"You know, it's okay to be scared. After all, the Dungeon it's really a scary place, where countless adventurers died. There are so many that we don't even remember every single one of them," Hestia told him honestly.

Alex flinched at hearing her words.

"There's no shame in being scared, it only means that we must find the strength and the courage to overcome it. When I descendent from Heaven I was terrified, but I was lucky enough to have an amazing friend like Hephaestus to take me under her wing and show me the ropes of being a Goddess in Orario. I learn some things from her, but the truth is that I have a lot more to learn. To be honest I'm still afraid. I'm afraid that my ignorance could cost the life of my children, but I'm willing to work hard to be the best I could be. If you don't feel ready to go into the Dungeon, it's not a problem. Nobody will laugh or judge you, we can just postpone it," Hestia told him gently and there was so much kindness in her eyes that Alec felt a bit overwhelmed.

"What are you afraid of? Death?" Hestia went on as she noticed that Alec wasn't about to start talking.

Alec took a moment to consider her question.

'Am I truly scared of death?' Alec asked himself.

"Not really," Alec told her.

"Then what?" Hestia didn't back off.

"I'm more afraid of dying and then being forgotten or if you would, I'm afraid to live a meaningless life and not be able to leave a mark on the world," Alec bared his heart out to his Goddess.

Hestia looked at him and without a moment of hesitation, she enveloped him in a tight hug.

Alec was startled for a moment, but he let himself be embraced and enveloped in Hestia's warmness. He was bigger and taller than her, but like this, he felt little he was a little child hugged by a loving parent trying to dispel their child's fear.

They stood like that for some time before Alec slowly pulled back. Hestia didn't mind it and let him do it. They stood close, facing one another, and Hestia put her hands on his shoulder.

"You are Alexander Von Nazarick. My first child and the first captain of the Hestia Familia, and you'll be remembered for all eternity, until the end of time. Fear not, for you will always have a special place in my heart," Hestia told him kindly.

Alec was taken aback, but he already felt better after Hestia talk to him.

"Thank you," Alec replied with a heartfelt smile and misty eyes.

Hi everyone,

I know that last time I said that Alec would enter the Dungeon in the next chapter, but someone pointed out that the system was confusing and unclear, and they were 100% right. I write this chapter hoping to make things a bit clearer.

In my head, I have a clear idea of how the system works, and I made a mistake not explaining things. Yeah, stupid right?

Anyway, more of the system functions will be explained in future chapters.

Thank you for your kind and funny comments and reviews.

See you in the next chap.
