After being betrayed and killed by his best friend, Tsuoma Sadeo is reincarnated into a fantasy world where humans and magical creatures coexist. Armed with his indestructible sword and immense magical powers, he becomes a formidable sword mage. However, his new life takes an unexpected turn when he is met by the Princess of Straterfall Kingdom, his summoner, who has a crucial mission for him. A powerful demon, Urea, has possessed the Empress of Latasha, the second most powerful kingdom, and is secretly rallying dark mages to awaken the King of Demons, Agarrat, from the abyss. A goddess, determined to prevent this catastrophe, forms an unlikely alliance with the Princess of Straterfall. Together, they summon Tsuoma and, by mistake, his friend Teruki. The two must undergo rigorous training to defeat the Three High Demons: Urea, Trezona, and Duggan. As the stakes grow higher, Tsuoma and Teruki race against time to prepare for the ultimate battle. Will their training be enough to save the world from destruction, or will they run out of time? And who exactly is the supreme one and what is his or her plan?
The village of Salvation was it's name. With a population of over one hundred people living together. The villagers seemed to know one another as everyone greeted one another familiarly.
The village was a small peaceful place where you could get a lot of things without much hassle or fight.
An unknown figure walks around the village and everyone looked at him looking at him strangely because they had never seen him before. He smirked as he deduced he was the centre of attraction of the villagers. The villagers were on edge as they witnessed the movement of the stranger, they began whispering among themselves. Who was this man?
The figure was accosted by seven men but their stance didn't suggest violence rather it was a questioning stance. The men were weaponless as they met the stranger. One of the men who looked older than the others was the spokesperson.
"Hi friend, we haven't seen you here before, may we know you?."
"Humans; a race of pests and weaklings. An incomplete existence." The stranger muttered in a calm voice.
The men gasped in shock upon hearing this, they began to move away from the stranger with fear in their eyes. He smiled as he noted their fear. Humans sure were an interesting race, who would believe it was one of them who had helped in sealing the abyss. And now another had been summoned. He smirked evilly and the head of the seven men could be seen rolling on the floor.
"Hahahaha. This is fun. I really need to work out more. This village is the perfect one to try out my new spell."
The villagers began to run in fear, tumbling things down, the figure raised his hand to the sky and a red magic circle appeared over the village. His eyes glowed mischievously. He saw how everyone were running to houses. "You can run but you can't hide.
With your breeding rat-like rate, you have infested and polluted the energy of this world. And now I will rid this world of your infestation." He flew up and the magic circle expanded.
"Drown In The Depths Of The Abyss: Fallen Angel's Fury!''
A blast of energy like a vortex appeared from the circle and destroyed the entire village causing massive amount of destruction, houses were blown apart and people were thrown out of their houses and landing on the floor with broken bones. Blood and flesh smeared the neat land.
The once peaceful village had now turned into a place looking like a war-torn village. Craters could be seen everywhere and burnt marks on the floor also.
The demon smiled and walked out of the village casually. He looked to the sky and the smell of blood, sweat and flesh came to him. He leaped to the sky and flew away. He was the second high ranking demon. Trezona.
"Okay guys, we still don't know much about this world and it's people but can you refrain from telling anyone that we are not from this world." Tsuoma told his gang and they nodded in reply. They got to a city, they had left the guild to another city two days before and they had gotten to know a bit about one another on the journey. The city was rich looking. Everyone minded their business. No supernatural creature seemed to be there, they were all humans. Tsuoma's geographical mind opened and he saw the name of the city. He whispered his findings to his team. "We have to be careful guys. These people are hostile to supernatural creatures and we have a lot of them in our group. This is the Mage city. And they hate supernatural beasts. I will cast spells to hide your lineage." He silently muttered a spell and light thinned around the duo making anyone who see them see an illusion. The duo were like humans to normal eyes.
Tsuoma and gang walked to a bar in the city. He suggested that was the perfect place to get information. There the gang were the center of attention. They were on edge. Soon everyone ignored them and the gang began talking.
"These people sure hate supernaturals, I wonder what happened to them." Teruki whispered. A young girl walked over to ask for their order. Tsuoma looked behind her to see the menu. "Give each of us a serving of Elehorse stew." Tsuoma told her and looked at her as she walked away. Not only he noticed it. Agnolia had also. "Something is off with the girl. She looks drained of energy". He tried checking her status but nothing happened. He couldn't use his magic. He looked at Agnolia and she deduced what he wanted to say. "Someone or something is interfering with our magic. We have to be careful''. The girl brought their meals in a large tray to all six of them.
Tsuoma looked around the bar and saw certain people eyeing them. Something was off about the people also. He peeled his eyes away from them and focused on his meal. The girl came back asking for their drink. Tsuoma asked only for water. The girl went back and brought glasses of water to each of them. As soon as they were done with their meal. Tsuoma asked for a place to pass the night from the girl. After getting the information, they stood and began to move out of the bar.
Six men walked over to meet the gang. The leader of the six stopped Tsuoma. "We haven't seen you around this part, who are you." Tsuoma sighed and showed his badge. "We are adventurers. We saw this city and decided to pass the night". Tsuoma was feeling uncomfortable with the scrutiny of the man. The man released them to go but he had a suspicious glint in his eyes. "Clin," he beckoned to a young boy, "Follow them, I suspect there is something strange about them".
The gang got to the inn. Tsuoma paid for the night. They were all tired, they fell asleep immediately. Late at night, six men led by the young boy who tailed Tsuoma and team came to the inn. There the boy pointed out the room. As soon as he did this, one of the men grabbed Clint and dug his elongated teeth into his open neck draining his energy. "Thank you for the information," he smacked his lips, "It was really helpful." These six men were of the Sangrethorn Clan. A clan of energy devourers. Apart from the ability to manipulate blood and hypnotise, they could suck out energy of the living. They were like vampires except they didn't suck blood but energy.
The leader was Neil Sangrethorn. The entire mage city was being controlled by the clan. Nobody could attack the clan. With strong hypnosis, blood manipulation, energy manipulation amid other powers, they were a force to be reckoned with. The leader of the clan possessed abilities greater than the members of the clan. He could also empower his clan if need be. The leader had been alive for centuries, the clan had also been in existent for a long time. Everyone feared the city of mages. And now Tsuoma and his friends had entered it.
