Status Window

Zhao Yun was left all alone in the room. "Let`s look at my status window," he thought. A window screen popped up immediately in front of him. On the topmost part of the screen, "Status Window" is written on it, below it is Zhao Yun`s personal details such as; Name, Age, Gender, Job, Mana pool, Sect, and Title. Zhao Yun is written in the "Name" part, 21 in the "Age" part, male in the "Gender" part, and swordsman in the "Job" part. His mana pool is currently.....zero, while the "Sect" and "title" part is currently empty. His mana pool was a bit disappointing, but it was acceptable since he is just starting.

"Wait, I remember hearing a voice saying I received a new title," Zhao Yun`s monologue. After clicking the "title" part, a new window popped up. On top of it is written, "Title", under it is a table that shows "???", except for the first part which says, "Hero of The Mushroom village."

"Hmmm, let`s equip this title see what it does," Zhao Yun decided. After equipping it, another screen showed up saying, "You have equipped the title "Hero of the Mushroom Village. Your favorability with the mushroom villagers increased. A passive skill called "Mushroom Intake" was taken into effect.

Zhao Yun`s eyes flashed when he read the effects of the title. "To what extent does this favorability increase do?" Zhao Yun pondered, "and what`s this passive skill? Let`s check this out."

A small window screen appeared next to the passive skill "Mushroom Intake". For every mushroom you eat, you can receive one of the following; 1 copper, 10 exp, 1 experience points, or 1 base mana pool.

"Wow, this is some nice early game stuff. It`ll help me with my zero mana problem." Zhao Yun exclaimed. After studying the title screen once more, he closed it and returned to the status window. Below the personal details are; Cultivation Level, Stats, Skills, and an unknown logo. Zhao Yun`s cultivation level was shown in bold letters; 2ND STAGE BODY-REFINEMENT.

"Hmmm, How does this cultivation work? am I stronger than Elder Ma or weaker? Well, there`s no point thinking about this since I can just read the description," Zhao Yun concluded and then pressed the Cultivation Level.

Once again, a window screen showed up in front of Zhao Yun entitled Cultivation Levels. It shows an organized list of cultivation levels. The list started from 1st stage-Body refinement, then 2nd stage-Body refinement, up until the 9th stage Body-refinement. Next on the list is Mind amplification that also has 9 stages, starting from 1 to 9. The following cultivation levels are listed as (???).

"Hmmm maybe they`ll be unlocked after I reach the next level," Zhao Yun hypothesized. "Never mind, I just need to farm exp and level up. Now the question is, how do I farm exp? One way is to slay monsters since I leveled up from back then, but there`s no monster here in this forest, and from the looks of it, the mountain near here isn`t suited for beginners like me. My second way would be by eating mushrooms. With the help of my passive skill, I can earn exp by chance. There`s the mushroom forest so I`ve got tons to farm. I just don`t know if the Elders would allow me to farm all I want. I need a 3rd way to farm exp, one that is dependable and stable." He contemplated and strategize.

"Hmmmm, how about doing some exercises like how careful hero did?" Zhao Yun then proceeded to do some push-ups. After doing a set, he stopped and looked at his status. He was disappointed to see that no exp was gained.

"Arggh, I`ll just find a way later. Let`s see my stats. A new window screen sprouted displaying his stats;

Intelligence-10

Charisma-2

Experience Points Available- 10

After seeing his stats, Zhao Yun clicked a question mark button is positioned beside each stats. A window screen emerges, showing the stats descriptions and how it functions.

Here are the descriptions for each stats;

Stamina- Stamina is responsible for how fast you get exhausted in doing physical work. For every 20 stamina points you have, you will receive a passive skill. (This is only effective up until Stamina-100, you will no longer receive passive skills past Stamina-100.)

Strength- Strength determines how heavy you can lift and how strong your kicks and punches are. For every 50 strength points you have, you will receive a passive skill. (This is only effective up until Strength-100, you will no longer receive passive skills past Strength-100.)

Agility- Agility determines how fast you can run, how fast your reaction time is, and how fast your perception is. For every 25 agility points you have, you will receive a passive skill. (This is only effective up until Agility-100, you will no longer receive passive skills past Agility-100.)

Wisdom- Wisdom is responsible for your success rate in learning a new skill, pill refining, and talisman creation. For every 15 wisdom points you have, you will receive a passive skill. (This is only effective up until Wisdom-60, you will no longer receive passive skills past Wisdom-60.)

Charisma- Responsible for your physical appearance and charm to other sex. The more Charisma you have, the more sexually attractive you are.

Zhao Yun finished reading the descriptions of each stats so he started planning on what stats to upgrade and not to upgrade. He weighed the pros and cons of each stats and analyzed on what stat can help him right now. He managed to narrow it down to Agility vs ... Charisma, of all the stats available.

"Hmmm, Agility would be useful for combat and escape while charisma is for my HAREM! so Charisma it is," Zhao Yun exclaimed as he maniacally laughs and lay wastes all his available experience point on charisma with a facial expression a villain would pale in comparison. After this regretful incident, his Charisma went up to 12.

*Ding* You have received a new title, would you like to equip it? yes or no?

"What? No, I don`t know its effects yet. I should check it out first," Zhao Yun decided. Zhao Yun learned that the new title is "Charismatic Cultivator." The description of the title is, " When you receive this title, your Charisma will increase by 5 and you shall receive 5 additional experience points, good luck in your adventure hero."

"So it was something like a beginner`s gift from the system, this time I`ll keep my experience points on standby. What`s this last one? Is this supposed to be a logo of a shop? The transporter didn`t mention this so maybe it`s not important? that`s what he said so let`s just check this," Zhao Yun thought then clicked the shop logo.

A new window screen opened up showing images of things that don`t matter according to the transporter. "Not important my ass! This is basically where I`m going to get my skills and arsenals. Why have I not thought about this before spending my exp points? I`m so dumb. I was naive to believe that fucking guy. It can`t be helped, let`s just look for now." Zhao Yun cursed the transporter with all his heart.

The shop consists of 3 sections, the skill shop, the pill recipe shop, and the talisman shop. And currently, there`s a 90% discount offer for his first purchase. The offer has a time limit of 1 week. Right now, Zhao Yun is regretting wasting his precious exp points on charisma.

"It`s alright, there are still 4 days to go before the offer is gone. I`ll manage to get my hands on more exp points," Zhao Yun consoled himself.

All of a sudden, a knock was heard coming from the door.
