A pained scream pulled Alex's attention to its source and his pupils could not help but shrink at the scene he saw.
Mia was pinned to a tree with a long black bone sword that stuck into her stomach. Blood flowed from the side of her mouth and her face was masked with an anguished expression as she let out pained screams from time to time.
And the reason for this was the beasts standing before her.
In front of her was a humanoid beast the height of a human. The beast had three vertical eyes that held pale green eyeballs in them, the beast had no facial organ that could be regarded as its nose and its mouth was just a crack that revealed sharp rows of teeth whenever it opened its mouth to grow.
In one of its hands was a black bone sword and in another hand was a lump of flesh that it had carved off of Mia's leg.
He recognized the beast at a glance.
