"You?" The receptionist gasped. Her heart skipped a beat when she saw that the other was Alex. She now realized that Mia was the one looking for death.
She was about to stop Mia from bothering Alex as she knew that even the head of the guild valued him and would come after Mia if she offended Alex, but Alex was a step quicker and sent her a voice transmission, telling her not to interfere in the matter.
The girl could only stare at Mia with sorry eyes and moved in the opposite direction the next moment.
Mia, who was unaware of the short exchange between Alex and the receptionist, found it strange that the latter would simply leave after looking so angry earlier.
'Maybe she saw he was a nobody and did not want to offend me because of him' Mia concluded all on her own and a wicked smirk formed on her face.
"You see? Even the workers here have no interest in saving your pitiful life" she laughed loudly while eyeing Alex with a mad glint in her eyes.
