Chapter Twenty-Nine

After getting home, Ryan went straight to our bedroom leaving my family and me, the whole ride home he didn't speak to anyone, he didn't even look at my parents at all. I mean I understand, his parents have just been dragged away in front of him because my parents locked them up, but they did kidnap me and kept me away from my parents for 15 years, so I understand where both sides are coming from, which makes me stuck in the middle.

"He's gonna be alright he just needs time to calm down," I say, he makes his way up the stairs towards our bedroom, my father walks over placing his hand on my shoulder making me look up at him.

"You did well today with his parents," he says smiling, I look to the floor smiling a little too, it wasn't easy seeing them.

"It was hard but you guys are my parents, that's all that matters" I smile but a thought came into my head "why did his parents even come?" I ask, my parents take a quick look at each other before looking back at me.
