The other guy seeing the strange reaction approached him and spoke calling him Alpha.
"What is it Alpha man?" He asked.
"Beta bro, his blood tastes like heaven," Alpha said.
Beta hurried and took the dagger. He too licked it and his eyes shone with the same light.
"You guys should stop fooling around. We must reach the hideout by morning," Joan said disgusted by their blood licking actions.
" You must taste this," they said in usnison.
Their eyes seemed to be shining with desire for more as they gave her the dagger. But she rejected. They begged her and she reluctantly agreed. She usually did not indulge in such behaviour.
" Fine, just this once," she said and licked the blood on the dagger. She refused to return it back and licked it clean. Her eyes were shining the smae as theirs.
" Find him." They both begged their eyes shining brighter with desire.
" You didn't have to tell me," she said and started scanning the entire forest.
She scanned again and again but he was not in the forest. She did not believe that he was transported that far. But thinking of the teleportation array, she realized it was random and he might have been teleported to any part of the empire.
She explained the situation to the guys who had a disappointed look. They really needed his blood. It tasted like a treasure. If they had enough of his blood, they were sure that they could break into the next plane!
Even a beast's blood essence could not help one get across planes. Just who was he. Thinking of that, they felt a kind of weird feeling.
Like they were marked. There was also a tension that built up in their hearts. What if he was not human. But recalling all the people they had killed, it felt like nothing and pushed it to the back of their head.
He was dead actually. His ghost could not even haunt them with such a low cultivation. They gave up on his blood as Joan destroyed the array.
If it stayed on for long it would draw attention for them. Beta bent and picked Aurora on his shoulder. Alpha was a space elementalist and he created a portal for them.
They all walked into it and the portal disappeared after Alpha got into it.

Alaric felt his conciousness fading. He cursed at his body. He kept reminding himself that he could not fall unconcious. He kept his eyes open despite the fact that everything kept dimming in and out.
He felt himself hit the tree and for some seconds he lost his consciousness. He had not yet registered the pain but when he hit the tree his body short circuited and he lost conciousness.
But he could not agree to do so. He was hanging by a thin thread gritting his teeth. He was in a vast white light and he could see nothing.
He felt so much pain that even concentrating on kepping his conciousness awake was difficult. He thought of disconnecting his pain receptors but with the fragile control he had over his body currently made it impossible.
What was even worse was Aurora who was feeding the pill to him while still sitting on him. Had it not been the pain he was experiencing, he would have been unconcious.
He felt the pill dissolve in his mouth as his body greedily absorbed it. From how he was exhausting it, he was not sure if it was going to do much help.
He felt the pain slowly lessen. It was also getting cold near him. This helped in tolerating the pain. He still could not open his eyes.
All he could was to use his instinct which was reduced to ten meters. He felt the snow and knew that Aurora was fighting. Was he not the one supposed to be protecting her?
He felt miserable. His body was healing up fast but it felt too slow for him. He needed to save her. He somehow could sense the different aura she released.
He felt her fingers on his lips and something else he could not fathom. There followed a heated battle that did not last a minute. He was shocked when he heard them call her Ice Queen.
By the time he finally got to open his eyes, he only managed to catch a glimpse of her transformed state. What riled him up was that she was bleeding.
He just leaned on the tree unable to move. His processing speed had slowed down quite a bit. He saw her fall sideways facing his direction.
At that moment, something familiar came to him a tear dropped from his eyes. Whatever he remembered,he forgot instantly. But the tears felt like they were of joy.
He watched as she tried to reach him. He felt useless if even closing his eyes was this difficult. He saw her mumbling some words.
He at first thought that she was trying to say something to him but he realized that it was an incantation. His instinct picked up the guy charging at him.
He could only move his eyes as he watched the guy slice the dagger at his throat. He watched as his life flashed before his eyes.
He felt the dagger slice halfway his throat but at the same time, he saw Aurora for the last time as he was transported. When he felt the spatial tunnels and the effect it had on him, something clicked inside him.
But whatever it was, it was not going to be helpful because he was dying. He could feel blood gushing from his throat. The effect of the pill suddenly disappeared.
There was no way he was going to survive this. That was a fact he was not going to accept. He suddenly felt the spatial tunnel open and he was falling.
He was wondering where he was but not seeing the pink array meant that he was not in the forest. He could not move his head to look below him or his neck would snap.
He just let himself fall on his back on the ground. He felt like his remaining bones shattered and his life force started leaving him.
He saw his foster parents especially his mother flash in his eyes. She had taught him most of the morals and skills he had. He remembered the fact that they treated him like their son when they knew that he was not even related to them.
He remembered the days he went fishing with his father and the very first day he dived into the lake to catch fish with his bare hands.
He remembered their smiles as they started fading. "No!" He screamed. Then his real parents appeared in his eyes. He did not know much about their current situation but he knew the sacrifices they made.
His mother's warm smile filled his mind as she started fading away. Again he shouted at them to not leave him again. He was trying to get stronger so that he could find them.
Then his friends smiles flashed through his eyes. He laughed when he imagined Rey joking about his current situation. Also he started fading.
He saw Aurora's last moment with him. She had been merrier at the party and he had started accepting his feelings towards her and now... He was fading.
She did not give up in the end and chose to remain strong. He saw his memories fading and he could tell that there was less blood pumping in his vessels.
Was this how he ended up being a disgrace Immortal King? He laughed. All the goals about taking over his throne were going to just burn into ashes?
Was the universe now trying to eliminate him for breaking being a natural law breaker? But who was he? Had he not refused to die during his birth when the universe tried to get rid of him?
How many times had the universe tried to kill him and failed? Just who was he? Was he not the Immortal King? Didn't the laws of the universe bend to his will?
Didn't he do the impossible and forged a path for his future thousands of years ago? Was it not him who control these laws? Was he not back to get his revenge and get back to his throne?
Did the universe think that it was going to hinder him? He refused to die! If he wanted to show dominance over the universe, he had to show it that it was not going to have his life for the second time!
He forged this path for himself and he was going to trek it to the end. And this... This was not the end!
Everything that had been fading away resurfaced and all the smiles that had faded came back to life! As the Immortal King, it was his duty to take care of his subjects and take control of the universe.
"I challenge death to a battle of life," he said as he welcomed death to come take his life
