Chapter 68. All out 1

"Have you kissed yet?" Lisa asked out of the blues and if Aurora had any liquid in her mouth she would spit it out.

"What are you talking about?" She almost slapped Lisa's back. She wanted to continue but she stopped.

She remembered during the time she was under the psychedelic. She quietened and looked down on her lap as she clutched her fingers together such that they played with each other. Lisa and Jane could not have missed this.

" So you have?" They both asked in unison.

" Its not like you think," Aurora spoke but she regretted. She just confirmed that they had. She regretted not being in her right mind. She remembered everything and she could never give a reasonable answer as to why she had been doing the acts. It was like she was concious and not at the same time.

" So its exactly as we think," Jane said with finality.

Aurora never had had a bad day like then. Getting cornered with every word she uttered.

"So how is it? You mean you no longer have your first kiss?" Lisa joked.

"I am already jealous of you," Jane said pouting.

The prize giving was over and the headmaster had to make a speech. Immediately he stood at the stage, everything stopped. The air was suffocating and those who were talking like the three suddenly quietened. It was silent that you could hear your neighbor's heartbeat and breathing.

The headmaster was yet to talk but his presence alone had quietened everyone. They all felt like they were under his mercy. If Alaric was here, he would just realize how great presence was. One could defeat their enemy just by using their presence.

After his desired effect was achieved, the headmaster spoke. His voice was calm and it was like a whisper but, everyone heard it like he was whispering in their ears. The words seemed to go straight to the brain.

"Mmh." He started by clearing his throat. "I will only thank the mayor for honouring us with his presence. The rest I hope you have been having a good time. It appears to be just like any other day, but is it? We all gather here annually to mark the end of the year and also recognize our talents by awarding them.

"My apologies for cutting short our entertainment. I will give them a chance after all formalities and they can finish off. As things stand, we were in the middle of a heated battle.

"This year was not that active and few major things happened. The next year though, I hope you all know how important it is. We are Origin Academy and we know our position. The inter academy competitions are in six months.

"Its my hope that you all are ready for it. Also we are going to have our selection of candidates after three months. I hope you all are going to try your best and represent us. The last time we did quite poorly but I see that next year we are going to do better.

" It would not be a bad thing having all top tens from our academy or is it? Of course that is what we should aim for. I hope to see dedicated students in the next six months. Also you should support and watch over each other..."

The Academy mostly emphasized on unity though it did encourage the challenges between students. The headmaster spoke much about the competition and emphasized little about the pjysical exams. He emphasized on physical and mental fitness which would lead you to being a powerhouse in the future.

He also emphasized the importance of joining factions and also congratulated the leaders of the faction. The top faction, Fire Faction, had also been awarded. Also the best leader of the factions had been awarded. The Lighting Faction had ranked second and the Hydra Faction third.

Though the Fire Faction was ahead, the Hydra Faction's leaders received the most awards. Some other factions like the Tamers Faction did not receive any presents. This was a challenge and the headmaster emphasized that these factions needed to improve and take the top three position.

He encouraged the other factions to remove the monopoly of the top three which rarely changed. He also congratulated them for always maintaining the top three. He emphasized on importance of being in the top three because of resources that the top factions received.

He also touched about how every element was powerful in its own way and how it could counter the others. He especially spoke about the Tamers Faction. He said that that faction was supposed to always be the first ranked. The Tamers Faction had ranked sixth. "It is a shame," he had said.

He also commended on the unity members of a faction had. He ridiculed the inter-faction grudges especially between the top three. He addressed those with rare elements such as space and time who were dual elementalist to join these factions. He had noted that they oftentimes joined the other element's faction.

He finished his talk after almost thirty minutes and invited the mayor who just spoke few words and took his seat. The formalities had ended and the headmaster stood up from his seat.

"Let us continue with the entertainment from where we stopped. Let's first welcome our masters of ceremony," the headmaster said and took his seat.

The people cheered and whistled as Irene and Jackson made their way forward. The crowd quitened and the two knowing exactly what the crowd was eager for did not waste any second.

" Virnie and Ken, you know that its your turn. Please make your way forward," Irene said and in few seconds, the two guys arrrived on the stage.

Irene and Jackson took a few steps away and stood at another platform.

" I thought I would never witness the real fight."

" The fight between space and time..."

" This is match I will never let fade from my memories."

" The headmaster heard us."

" We are grateful for that."

There was a short exchange between Virnie and Ken.

"I never thought that I would ever get this chance again to beat you up infront of everyone," Virnie spoke.

"I am the one beating you up. You know that you already lost," Ken said with the same confidence as Virnie. They both were known by the headmaster and oftentimes spoke.

Virnie looked up and faced the headmaster.

"We know that it is supposed to be just a spar and we should not go offensive but we would like to ask for permission to fight till one of us accepts defeat. Please grant our request," he said. When everyone heard the request, they became uproarious and their blood heated up. That was exactly what they wanted.

The headmaster was silent for a while before replying.

"Since I agreed to let the entertainment continue, then your request has been successfully accepted." The headmaster said and the people clapped as they sat upright and rubbed their hands together ready for the match of the year.

"No excuse for holding back now," Ken said as he went to the other end of the platform. The two were grinning like mad men and Virnie was beating his fist on his palm.

"Don't you dare hold back too," Virnie said.

"Lets end this fast," Ken said as he rolled his pants to his calves.

Ken raised his hand and this time there was no rumbling of the clouds. Instead,there were intertwined zigzag silver lightnings lighting up in the sky such that they blocked the sun. They appeared like they were grass roots. One could not believe that this was the power of a Master Plane elementalist. But it was just that they had decided to go all out. The surrounding appeared to slightly darken as Ken's hair glowed.

His eyes seemed to also have some lightning in them. He pointed his hand at Virnie who was yet to unleash his attack. Without holding back, he sent the lightning at Virnie. The speed was unprecedented and only those of higher stages saw what he had done.

The advantage of being a time elementalist. Ken had sped up the time the lightning was supposed spend in order to reach Virnie such that it struck immediately it left. People were shocked and even the headmaster squinted his eyes.

Everyone watched as the lightning strike reached Virnie who seemed to have been caught off guard. The lightning struck him cleanly on his chest. Many could not understand but the strike reached Virnie immediately it was released and that was enough to kill him and yet, he had taken it head on.

The expectations of everyone never came as the lightning passed through the chest as if it was not hindered. The people who had been silent grew even more quiet such that even their breaths were held. Everyone understood what he had done.

To do that, one was required to have overly control of the space element. The lightning strike had phased through! Using the space element, one could teleport in and out of a spatial tunnel at a fast speed such that it was like he was not there but he was there.

The process was risky and one wrong move and they would die.

"You almost had me thinking that I had caught you," Ken said after his attack dimmed.

"I was almost caught in that though. I almost got a heart attack," Virnie replied and one could see the sweat that had formed on his forehead.

There was a heated discussion among the crowd after what they had just witnessed. It was not everyday one came across a space elementalist and it was even rarer to find them fighting. Even those fighting, it was not always satisfying if one did not have skills. Virnie was a top notch Master Plane space elementalist.

There were not many who would dare phase an attack through them until they had reached the Salvia Plane and yet, Virnie had done it at the Master Plane which was like an attempt to commit suicide. But they understood the suddden urge to not die when they heard Virnie's words. They were sure he would never have dared.

"You have done well. My turn," Virnie said as he opened his arms. They were yet to use any techniques and were focusing on using brute force at the moment. One could hear rumbling. But they could not pinpoint where it was coming from. It felt like water being released from a dam at full force.

They saw the white buttoned shirt open up on its own and a sudden wind seemed to blow it behind. Girls could not get time to blush when they saw his bare chest because everyone was caught up in what he was doing. Also, he appeared to have risen ten centimeters. He had his eyes closed and there were sounds like waves hitting a cliff. He opened his eyes and two portals appeared.

There was an influx of water that flowed into the stadium. The water seemed to start going in circles like it was a tsunami forming. There was a sudden wind produced as the tsunami started as one meter wide but in few seconds, it was reaching ten meters and widening.

The water then started rising and in few seconds, the water had risen to a height of almost fifty meters. The tsunami was dark.The wind produced was so great that people had to cover their face with their elbows. Even ken had created a lightning dome to protect himself from being blown of from the platform.

The tsunami's speed increased and there suddenly was lighting inside it. One could see it from outside. People were wondering what he was trying to do for they knew that he could not just be planning to suck his opponent inside and torment him.

Ken cursed when he realized what Virnie was doing. He started building up his defense as he created a lightning dome over another. Also, he used time to slow down the time for the attacks that would be coming to him. He also created a lighting suit for himself because he knew that he would not be able to withstand the impact of the attack.

The tsunami was now moving at a speed incomprehensible to the eye such that it appeared to be standing on the ground still. There was vigorous lightning inside the tsunami and suddenly there was a roar that came from inside it.
