Job in Vaharacht

Due to the fact that Leonard is not built to fight below the lowest floor of the dungeon he has to do the most important and brain wracking task all together.

Nonetheless, it's not like Leonard would be able to change his situation. The Ziquir caste have a lot of stubborn and hardheaded people. Even if Leonard was successful in changing Zhar'kerut's mind it's not like his situation will get better.

"Ugh… I hope it's not that bad."

"Don't worry, it will." Zhar'kerut chimed in. "You'll be the head of Logistics."

"HEAD?!" Leonard blurted out. "Ziquir, being in logistics requires a lot of work. I'm not just counting inventory and checking if I got the right product but I'll have to manage where I get them and how they're procured."

"I know. Besides that, the reason why you'll be the head is because this is a test."

"A… a test?" Leonard asked with cold sweat running down his head.

"Yes. And failure to do so… " Zhar'kerut trailed off "You already know that right?"

"B-but… " Leonard sighed.

Zhar'kerut cackled, Leonard just realised that the guy would do anything to get a result. Zhar'kerut heard that the one who'll prevent the death of his kin is here, he will then adhere to his standard shaping him up.

Leonard avoided a landmine just to die from a tripmine. He sighed heavily, with all the developments he couldn't put a hand into the reason why Zhar'kerut was doing all of these segments of training.

Now he had to use his brain power and make sure the responsibility of a bigger scheme in his shoulder won't fall.

Zhar'kerut led Leonard to a building, once they got inside Leonard noticed that the whole place was larger than it looked outside. He employed his mana and realised that the entire building is being spatially expanded!

Leonard returned his focus and walked alongside Zhar'kerut, he wouldn't stop just because Leonard decided to gawk at his surroundings.

Once they got to their destination, Leonard was greeted with a group of Xyn's. Leonard looked at Zhar'kerut for more explanations.

"This is the Axel 4th division. You'll be responsible for these people."

Leonard could only see four different Xyn's they have different carapaces that was enough for him to identify them apart. Their clothes was a huge role to tell them apart as well.

"I'm Kahiv'lazom, I'm the general of the 4th Axel Division."

"My name is Oiua'qio, I am the High-Mage and the one responsible of the mages of the group."

"Zahev'mizak, im the second in command after Kahiv'lazom."

"I'm Gaji'mazol, responsible for the menial labour."

Each one introduced themselves to Leonard, Zhar'kerut only nodded as acknowledgement, he then turned to Leonard.

"Since the last Head of Logistics got compromised, he will be the replacement." Zhar'kerut nudged Leonard. "Introduce yourself."

"Hello, I am Leonard, I'll be in your care."

Zhar'kerut then turned around, not bothering to elaborate further.

"Uhm… may I ask what happened to the last Head of logistics?"

Leonard curiously asked.

"He got assassinated."

He got a simple, yet precise answer.

"L-Lorraine. He'll be back im sure!"

Lenneza, the cold beauty and one of the top freshmen in the academy. Currently, her predicament couldn't be any worse.

Lorraine loves Lenneza, however, she is predominantly attached to her older brother.

"W-when…" Lorraine wiped away her snot. "When will brother be back?"

Lenneza kept her mouth shut, she did not know. But she kept her hopes high. She wished for Leonard to be free from the chutches of the Overlord but it seems to be naive to think that fate had no other plans for him.

"He'll be back, im sure!"

Lenneza only could remedy Lorraine's anguish with a white lie. Lenneza wanted to go back in time and be the one who got sent somewhere whatever that suicide teleportation that forcibly took Leonard instead.

Lorraine sniffed a couple of times, her runny nose couldn't be sublime in their redness. Lenneza chose to hug her sister and patted her head.

"I'm sure he'll be back."

This time, with more uncertainty in her words. Lorraine isn't the only who misses Leonard. Though, his wording could be rude, he didn't push her away.

Lenneza already had the suspicion that Leonard already knew that she regressed as well, but he never confronted her about it.

She was scared that Leonard would not just push her away, but push her down with utter disgust. She held in her heart that whatever the Overlord did, will stay with the overlord. And the faults she had with him will stay buried.

This is her form of repentance, she just wishes the heavens are listening and find in their goodwill to have Leonard understand her intentions.

She wishes for it to happen, but wishes aren't so available that she was only granted one.

Yula was practicing her magic, she wasn't really got at magic. But it was necessary, the academy doesn't make the noble children slack on major subjects.

She wished that she could just join some sort of club that utilizes physical abilities. Yula was a fighter that uses her legs. She's adept at kicks more than her fists.

It certainly helps as well that her legs are long.

Yula sighed, she looked at computer in front of her. Leonard and Yula had some prior discussions on releasing the app that he created, Whistler.

Leonard coded the app properly to maintain its uses, however, the user interface would be left with much more to be desired.

Yula got to permission to use it anyways and that she did. She started to fill in the gaps of the app and the blanks. Her company backed by the Marchen household was workplace desired by many.

"Aha…"

Right now, she is reading some reports. Some insider tried to leak the things in the net, a spy within her company. It's not like she could squash every spy that got in.

However, at their current size her company was a threat to the senior ones. Even though they're a company centered around software development their rising prestige left unwanted attention.

Some will try to root out a completely problem before it blooms.

"Pests…"

Yula crushed the papers in her hand, its time to retaliate.
