Third Person POV

"Serenity is back!", said Claudia out loud.

She pulls Serenity's hand to sit down on the ground.

"Even if it's for a few minutes, I can't hold the separation. I can't handle both of these idiots," she said.

"What happen?", Serenity asked.

"Evander started it!", said Azazel.

"What you do?", Serenity asked.

No answer from him as usual. He will talk when he wants. If he doesn't then he won't. Never force him.

"As usual, Serenity. They pick a fight. That's the only thing they do since we were children," said Claudia.

"Oh, I see. What's it about now? Azazel?"

"He said that I'm weak. I'm not! I'm strong enough now!"

"Childish," Evander murmurs.

"See! I told you! He's the one who started it!", Azazel half shouted since no one cared about it enough.

Serenity laughs at Azazel's act. It's been a while since the last time she saw Azazel being this childish.

"Evander, you still don't have fangs. Why?", Serenity change the topic.

"My sister said, I only grew fangs if I desired to drink blood. It's the only way to break the curse that they put on me," he explained.

"So, you still don't have that desired?", Claudia asked.

Evander shook his head.

"Is it bad?", Serenity asked.

"Might be. I know myself as a vampire. It's bad enough. Vampires need blood to stay alive. If I don't drink any of it, I might die even if I'm

immortal. But, what should I do? I don't have that desire. And I don't blend with humans at the Shadow Kingdom. Not even my servant."

"That's bad. You won't give up right?", Azazel asked.

"I don't know. Maybe. I have a sister to protect."

"Then, I'll make you give up," Maverick said to himself.

"Don't give up or else I don't have anyone to pick a fight with," said Azazel.

"I thought you are the one who will be happy if I die," Evander replied.

"Eh, no!", Azazel deny.

"Now, I realize that only Serenity is a human," said Claudia.

"Yeah, I'm a human. Unimmortal. Not like half of you," she replies.

"Chill, I'm also not immortal. We both will die soon," said Claudia.

"Witch is not immortal?", Azazel asked.

"For some reason, only some of them are immortal. The others will die."

They continue talking about something else. Their new life, Claudia's witchcraft, Azazel's werewolf ability and much more. Evander looks at

Serenity. He stunned with he saw the star pendant. He thought she never will wear it. He took this advantage to talk to her since everyone is busy

with each other. He sits beside her.

"I thought you never gonna wear it," he said.

"What? This pendant?", she asked back.

He nodded.

"Of course, I would wear it! It's beautiful."

"So, did you meet anyone special at the kingdom?", Serenity asked.

"What? No. The only girls that I talk to are my sister and my mother," he replied.

"Oh, I see."

Evander POV

I was still shocked that she wore that pendant as a necklace. I'm happy with it. My heart feels weird. It's tickling. I can't be like this. It's just weird! Is

there somebody who put another curse on me? Since the day I cried to her, I felt more comfortable talking to her.

Claudia started her crazy self again. Singing like an idiot without realizing that she's a princess. Azazel also just get along with her crazy head.

Serenity is still beside me, sitting without feeling scared of me. I feel warm around her. But, not long after that, I smell something.

"Blood?"

"What did you say?", Serenity asked.

"Nothing. Just remember something," I lied.

I see her veins. No! I can see through her veins! This is not normal! Just now I thought that I would never be like this! This is not good! She's a

human! I feel something growing inside my mouth. And it's hurt! I can't handle it. Serenity still sits there as if nothing happens. I need to go away

from her! I know I'll lose control if I stay here any longer.

"Where are you going?", she asked.

"Don't be a busybody. Leave me alone," I said.

"What happens? Both of you seem fine just now," Claudia asked as she heard what I said.

"I don't know," Serenity replied, full of confusion.

"Evan, you're shaking. Are you okay?", Azazel asked me.

Third Person POV

Since Azazel has dealt with this situation before, he acknowledges enough of what happened. Evander needs help to not lose control.

"It should be good if you stay here. We can call for help," Azazel said.

"No! Let me just go!", Evander resist and walk away.

"Guys, it's not safe. I don’t think this is normal," Azazel said to the other.

"What should we do now?", Claudia asked.

"Maybe..."

"Argh!!!"

All of them were shocked by the screams. They didn't even realize when Evander lose their vision. That vampire goes away without

being noticed with his vampiric ability.

"It's Evander!", said Serenity.

"Damn it, let's go!", Azazel lead the way.

He has the better scent of smell so he can easily spot Evander.

"Serenity, it's better for you to stay," Maverick stop her.

"But, why?", she asked.

"You're a human. He's a vampire. It's not safe."

"No! I don't care! He is part of us! So, don't try to stop me!"

Maverick can't do anything. She insisted to go.

"It's okay. I'll try to protect her," Claudia said.

"Argh!!!"

"He's close. Where's everyone?", Azazel asked.

"When we stay inside the great hall, we can't hear anything from the outside," Maverick explained.

Not long after that,

Bukk!!!

Evander ambush Azazel brutally. Azazel didn't manage to dodge the attack. Evander wants to suck his blood without thinking. But, Azazel

manage to grip Evander's neck first.

"Evander, stop this madman! Wake up!", said Azazel.

Evander seems to not be listening. He's in his world. The fangs showed out to be so sharp.

"We need to help him," said Claudia.

"How?", Maverick asked.

"I know this sound crazy but... hazme!"

A barrier showed up at Serenity after she said the word.

"What is this?", Serenity asked.

"It's a magical barrier. You will be safe," Claudia explained.

"But, what about you?"

"I'll be fine."

"IF YOU'RE DONE TALKING, COME AND HELP ME, YOU, IDIOT! HE'S STRONG, DUDE!", Azazel shouted.

"Well, at least you admit," Claudia mocks him first.

"Evander, we don't want to hurt you, but if you keep fighting, there's else we can do," said Claudia.

She seems professional to handle a battle now.

"Maverick, what can you do? You're a fae right?", Claudia asked.

"I only can play with a sword. I don't have power even though I'm a fan. It's normal for a fae to not have power," he explained.
