I saw the King and Queen on their way to the dining room. I would like to meet them. But as a normal human, can I do that? I have eager to know the truth about myself. From what I know, the King and Queen would know our origin and they would never kick us out if I'm not from the Azure Kingdom.

"Serenity, what are you staring at?" Miss Aliah asked me.

"Nothing miss. Just a bit tired. Do you need my help?"

"Not me, but the kitchen. They need help to serve the food for the King and Queen. They'll hold a big dinner today. Kings and Queens from all the other kingdoms will come to visit. So, please report yourself to the kitchen," she said.

"Oh, okay Miss Aliah. I gladly do it."

I bowed a bit before moving on to the kitchen. As soon as I reached the kitchen, I can smell a lot of delicious food. Grilled chicken is the most appetizing from what I see. I look for someone to who I can talk.

"Hye, I'm Serenity. Miss Aliah told me that the kitchen needs help. What can I do for help?", I asked.

"Oh, here you're. Yes, please help us. We need help organizing the dining room for this night's big dinner. Here, send this to the dining table," said the lady.

I took the plate from her hand and move forward to the dining room. I saw the King and Queen monitoring the work. It's rare to see the King and

Queen monitoring everything. Tonight's dinner must be important. I know they staring at me, who's still organizing the plate carefully.

I bowed to them before leaving for the kitchen. A few steps after, I heard somebody call my name. Coldness spread directly inside my vein. It can't be I made a mistake. I do nothing wrong just now!

"Yes, my King?", I asked him.

"Are you sure you're just a normal human from the Azure Kingdom?", he asked me.

I was shocked at what he said. I'm too confused to understand. Of course, I'm just a normal human. What did he expect from me?

"Serenity Gloria. Just answer the King's question," said Queen Elizabeth.

"I don't even know my origin. I lost my memory when I was a child. I don't know where's my family. I'm alone until I meet Claudia," I replied.

Thinking about it, this is my only chance to know the truth. I hope they can give me the answer.

"Oh, no wonder. It's okay. Sooner or later, you'll know your origin," said King Alexander.

No specific answer. I smiled, bowed and walked away.

"Are they really can spot my origin? Or it is because I'm just a normal human so they didn't care about it?", it pissed me off.

"Waugh!", I screamed as someone shocked me from behind.

"Hahaha chill out. It's me, Claudia."

"Ish! You don't need to do that! We're inside the castle. Please behave," I told her.

"Yeah, I know. What are you doing in the kitchen?", she asked.

"The kitchen need help for this night's big event. So, Miss Aliah sent me here. And what about you?", I asked her back.

"Miss Emery wants me to observe the kitchen need since I can write and read. Where's the head chef?"

"Inside that room."

"Okay. Thanks! See you later!"

She ran to the room where all of the food stocks were located. I continue to wipe the glass. After that, they allow me to go back to the garden.

"Thanks for your help Serenity. Please be sure to take some food before you go back to your house," said the lady.

"Okay, I will. Thank you!"

My heart didn't want to straight away go to the garden. I want to visit the stable since it's not that far from each other. I try to find him inside the stable. But, he's not here. I turn around with disappointment.

Buck!

I accidentally bump into someone. I quickly recognized the body and the jacket that I happen to have worn before.

"Thanks for the jacket," I said to him.

"Hmm."

He grabs the jacket and got inside his house. He seems too cold to be attached to me. I like him of course. But seeing his cold attitude, he doesn't seem interested in anyone around. It's honestly pissed me off. I turn around and begin to walk to our house. I need to come here alone since

Claudia hesitated to follow. She's too lazy after work.

A few step forward, I feel someone behind me. Due to my weak heart, I ran as fast as I can. But the person keeps up with me and grabs my hand.

"Hey, why are you running?", he asked.

"Err, I thought you were somebody else. How should I know you're coming out," I replied.

His hand felt warm once he wraps mine. How do I wish this day never ends?

"What do you want?", I asked.

"I'll keep you company since Claudia isn't around. I went inside just to put on the jacket," he replied.

I hide my smile. He's weird. He can be cold-hearted but caring at the same time.

"Sure, thank you."

"What are you doing here?" he asked.

"Nothing. Just wondering around. Where are you come from?"

"Toilet. You should left now. If Sir Johnson is here, he never gonna be pleased."

"Erm okay."

He went into the stable and continue the work that he left. He looked at me again.

"Did you meet Maverick?", he asked.

"Not yet. Why?"

"When is the last time you have a chance to talk to him?"

"Since we work here, I only talked to you and Claudia. Maverick seems running away from me. Why a sudden question?"

"Nothing. Just go."

He's weird at the same time. I started to move back to the garden. Miss Aliah already waiting for me.

"Where are you from?", she asked.

"The stable."

"Oh, did you talk to the King and Queen?"

"Yes. How did you know?"

"I'm a nymph remember? I can read your mind like what a witch can do. That's my speciality too."

I nodded.

"I hope that the King and Queen can give me an answer regarding my origin. But, they didn't tell anything."

"It's okay. You gonna know it soon."
