Maverick POV

"Hey, Azazel! Come help me to pick this vege! The castle's chef wanted to use it for dinner! Hurry up, dude!", I saw Azazel run to me as soon as he heard me.

"How much?", he asked.

"We need to fill up that basket," I replied while pointing at one basket.

"That's so much. Are they having a big dinner tonight?"

"How should I know? This is our first day. We barely know anything about this castle," I replied without looking at him.

We finished up our work. Azazel offered himself to deliver the vegetables to the castle's chef. I sat down to ease my tiredness a bit. There's not much work to do today as our leader, Sir Rafael told us. Pick the fruits and vegetables, cut down the grass, water the plant, put the fertilizer and that's all our work. Sir Rafael also told us that we need to deliver the fruits and vegetables sometime.

"Maverick, are you here?"

I heard someone calling my name. I turn around and see Serenity. She smiled at me.

"Why are you here?", I quickly stand up and wipe away the dirt on my pant.

"Miss Aliah asked me to take some fertilizers for the plant in the garden from the farmer. Can you help me with it?", she asked.

"Sure, why not? Come follow me."

I lead her to the warehouse where we put all the needs. I took a packet of fertilizer and gave it to her. She gently takes it from me.

"Thank you," she said.

Even her wish melted my heart. Did she know how I felt? My heart is about to explode every time she talks to me. For me, she's everything nice. Soft, kind and caring. What's more, should I ask for it? Having her is perfect! But only if I can confess this feeling. I told Azazel about this but he doesn't happy about it. He said that she never will love me like how I love her.

I observed her walk away without realizing that Azazel was already there, look what I do. He then patted my shoulder.

"You love her aren't you?", he asked.

"I dearly love her. But, I bet someone like her would never fall in love with a person like me."

"I already told you that, my dude. Move on and find someone better. Or just focus on your life first which is water the plant now!", he said while handing me the water hose.

"Yeah, maybe you're right."

Serenity POV

"Serenity, send these flowers to Miss Emery's room. She asked for it before you arrived," said Miss Aliah.

"Where's her room?", I asked.

"The second floor, turn right. You will see her room after the library. Knock before you get in."

"Okay."

I gently hold the bucket of roses and lavenders. It smells so refreshing. I started to walk towards the stairs. I bowed whenever I see anyone, without realizing the King and Queen. What do you expect? I never meet them before.

"Where are you going?", the King asked.

"To Miss Emery's room," I replied.

"Oh, may I know your name?", he asked.

"Serenity Gloria sir," I replied.

"Sir?" he asked.

I know I made a mistake. I begin to feel anxious. My face turns red. He's a King alongside his Queen. I'm too dumb to know about it. Most of the Azure Kingdom humans never know about King or Queen.

"I'm sorry, my king. I acknowledge my mistake. Perhaps, I would never do it again," I said, trying to remain calm.

"It's okay. You may leave," he said and then walk away.

I bowed again. I exhale my breath, full of relief. Then, I continue to send these flowers.

"Turn right, next to the library," I murmur to myself.

I knock on the door once I'm confident enough that it's the room.

"Come in!", I heard someone inside asked me to come inside.

I opened the door. The first person I saw is Claudia.

"Claudia? You're here too?!", I asked.

"Yes! Miss Emery, this is my friend, Serenity," she introduces me to Miss Emery.

Miss Emery seems too nice. She didn't mad at Claudia's excited attitude. She nodded and smiles at me. I then put the flower basket on the table.

"This is your flower, Miss Emery," I said.

"Thank you, Serenity. It's so beautiful. Hopefully, you won't do the same mistake," she replied.

"Same mistake? She knows it?", I talked to myself.

"I will not, Miss Emery."

It's already 8.00 p.m. The person who needs to pick five of us already waiting. After waving goodbye to the others workers who can stay inside the castle, we get in the van.

"How's your first day?", Claudia asked.

"I'm fine. It's fun to work at the farm," Azazel replied.

Maverick just simply smile. I looked at Evander. As usual, he never replied. So, I asked him since I sat next to him.

"Are you okay working at the stable?"

He nodded then stared outside the window. He then fixes his jacket and closes his eye. It seems about to rain. The wagon driver told us that he can't stop us in front of our house since we don't stay at the same house. So, he will stop us at the main entrance of that area. He doesn't care if it's raining or not. We simply understood what he said. We can't deny it.

The thunder started to strike the world. It's raining heavily. A few minutes later, the van driver stopped us already.

"So, you need to walk to your house. Good luck and now go!", he said.

We get out of the wagon. As soon as we reach out, we are already wet. Claudia seems to not care about getting wet. She loves playing with rain. But for me, I'll simply get a fever tomorrow. Soon, I felt something wrap around my skin. I saw Evander lend me his jacket.

"Wear it and keep quiet. Give it back to me tomorrow," he walked away as if nothing happens.

I try to hide my smile and act like I'm doesn't care about it. I continue my struggle to walk. My heart feels tickling. Claudia who sees what happen, pinch my nose.

"I know you're happy but please walked faster or you'll get a fever," she said.

I nodded.
