We arrived at the castle as soon as it was all done. I'm a bit afraid of course. Sir Rudy said that we won't sleep inside the castle. Someone will pick us up and bring us to our house. I started to look around this humongous castle. There's no way I can keep up will all the work here. I'm pretty sure that I need to clean this entire castle.

"Maverick Trivallor, Azazel Byron and Evander Ezra please follow me," said Sir Rudy.

I started to feel anxious since I don't know where I should go. I hesitated to ask in the first place but I am afraid now.

"Sir Rudy, what should I do now?", I asked.

"Oh for you, I forgot your existence. Let me check with the gardener. You also can follow us," he replied.

I'm glad that I don't need to stay inside the castle alone. Working as a gardener is not bad at all. Even so, I'm still worried about Claudia. I wondered what she needs to do for Miss Emery. Not long after that, we arrived at the garden. Sir Rudy quickly meets the gardener. I stood not far from them. After I saw Sir Rudy nod his head and begin to walk toward me, I prepared myself to receive my job.

"Good news for you, you can work as the gardener. They need help here. I still don't know why there's no job on your profile. By the way, good luck with your new job. Please be careful with what you do," said Sir Rudy.

"Thank you, Sir Rudy, I appreciate your help. I'll try my best here," I replied.

He then left me. I continue to walk to the gardener. She smiled at me and started to give me my first job.

"Please water the plant."

Claudia POV

"Claudia, you gonna help me with my work at the castle? I need an assistant who can manage my failure," said Miss Emery.

"Castle? You also work with the castle?" I asked her.

"Yes. I'm the one who monitors the castle activity. My responsibility is to make the castle the safest place. I need to make sure the castle is always in a perfect picture. That's why I need an assistant."

I nodded. Now, I understand my work. At least, there's a chance that I can meet them. I follow Miss Emery to her office.

"You'll begin your job from 7.30 a.m to 8.00 p.m every day. Please be punctual. Can you?", she asked as soon as we arrived at her office.

Her office is huge! The castle itself is already humongous so no wonder if her office can be this massive!

"Sure I can Miss Emery. I'll do everything to help you," I replied.

I can see Miss Emery smiling with relief. Maybe she's tired enough working for this castle alone.

"We have a meeting with the King and Queen regarding the new workers so you will follow me."

"When?", I asked.

"After the lunch hour. For now, please arrange these files based on the number," she handed me a lot of files to arrange.

I took the files from her hand and begin to work with my hand.

It's 2.00 p.m. Miss Emery and I started to move to the meeting room. On the first day of working with her, I need to meet the King and Queen of the Golden Kingdom. The faes couple, King Alexander and Queen Elizabeth are the most honourable creature here. They're smart and always nice to their people. No wonder most of the creatures love them.

Miss Emery knock on the door. After hearing someone's voice inside, she pushes the door. She instructs me to follow her inside and sit next to her. Don't talk and just listen carefully. She might need my opinion after that. I have my time to see the King and Queen's faces. With a single glare, I know how good they're. We bowed before we took a sit.

"Can we start the meeting now?", asked the King.

"My pleasure my King. Here's the list of the new workers from the Azure Kingdom. One of them is the girl next to me, who happens to be my assistant," Miss Emery handed him the list.

King Alexander read the list in silence before giving it to his Queen.

"So, young lady. Today is your first day. What's your name?", he asked me.

I hesitated to answer since Miss Emery forbids me to talk. But, she touches my hand and nods. Signalling that I can talk now.

"My name is Claudia Mircalla, my king," I replied.

"Claudia... you must be from the Emerald Kingdom right?", said Queen Elizabeth.

I was shocked by what she said. How does she know it directly? I never meet them before. They must be too powerful.

"I... I don't know," I replied.

To be honest, I am afraid that they will kick me out or send me back to the Emerald Kingdom. I never want to be there. I don't want to leave Serenity alone here. She needs someone in her life.

"You don't need to be afraid. We faes never gonna kick you out. We just want you to tell us the truth. Are you the witch from the Emerald Kingdom?", she asked again.

I nodded.

"But, I never learn witchcraft. My family left me when I was eight-month. I have my wand with me. The family who took care of me after that also doesn't know witchcraft," I explained.

Miss Emery just stared at me full of disbelief. This is my first day and I already messed up. I wondered what will happen after this.

"It's okay Claudia. No need to be scared. Now, back to the meeting."

Serenity POV

"Serenity, please come here! Help me to cut this long grass!", I heard Miss Aliah call my name.

I quickly run to her. I saw her pinched her head. The hot beam from the sun must have made her head spin.

"Okay, Miss Aliah. I think you need to rest for a while. Let me settle this work," I said.

"Thank you, Serenity."

I smiled and nodded. I saw her walking away to take shelter. I started to cut down the long grass. From afar, I can see Evander working with the horse. He seems already to know what to do. Such a quick learner. The sunlight that touches his skin slowly drives me insane. I hate this feeling. I hate to admit that I like him. Because I know he would never like me.

Evander once helps me when I was almost involved in an accident. A car almost hit me. If he wasn't there, I have already gone from this world. Seeing his worried face, my heart started to blossom. He seems doesn't care about everything. But I know, if something happens to us, he's the one who will settle it down. Claudia knew how I felt towards him. And she promises to keep it our biggest secret.
