Karma

Aside from the sounds of crickets chirping & owls singing their songs, it was fairly quiet. Though, in this case, it was the kind of quiet that could send shivers down your spine.

Just outside of a small house was a young girl, maybe 14 years old, name, unknown. In her hands was a large kitchen knife stained with blood & her face was covered in blood & tears. Turning her head left & right, she glanced at the world around her & let out a shaky breath. She then turned back to the house that she had just been in & bit her bottom lip. Inside that house were the bodies of three random people. A 23-year-old woman, a 13-year-old girl, & a 12-year-old boy, all of whom had been brutally killed by her. Though, despite this, nobody seemed to notice the girl or hear their screams of terror. Heads empty & heart racing, she began to hold the knife up to the moonlight & watched as the blood almost seemed to glow. As she let the point of it hover over her face, she gulped before letting it enter her face...until the sound of a faint buzzing began to ring from above her & she could feel something touching the top of her head. Eyes wide, she immediately whipped out her phone & saw that there was now a giant red ring on the top of her head.

Shocked, she dropped her phone as well as the knife & collapsed onto her hands & knees. Biting back tears, she let out a desperate & horrified wail as the ring started to glow brighter & brighter & on it, it read, "Expiration date: 6/19/2023" & today, it was 1/3/2023. She didn't have long & she quickly regretted her violent actions.
