Chapter 7: What is his Plan?

When Thomas saw who it was an idea popped up in his head and that person was the perfect start.

It was his is secretary Lilly "good morning sir, I am really sorry"

Thomas was confused as to why this woman was apologizing "What are you apologizing for?"

"Well I overslept so I am 15 minutes late and I apologize for that"

"At work-

-with Alexandra and Adrienne-

Alex and Adri came out of the file room

"Alright, I will leave the rest for you ok Adri?"

"Sure," said Adrienne, and they walked to the elevator when it opened it reviled Lilly in the elevator sobbing and holding a huge box

"Lilly? What are you doing with that box? why are you crying? where are you going?" asked both Adrienne and Alexandra attacking her with questions.

"M-Mister Thomas *sniff* Wolcott fired me a-a m-minute ago"

"Why?!" asked Alexandra in disbelief

"Well...

-Lilly's flashback-

"At work, you shouldn't be even one minute late, not only ten minutes but even 15 seconds are important"

"But I -"

"No buts, you are fired, goodbye"

At-end of Lilly's flashback-

"What? 15 seconds?"

"Yeah" and she walked away crying more

Adrienne was dumbfounded and Alexandra was sure something was going on "I am sure he is up to something?"

Adrienne nodded in agreement

-in George's pastry shop-

"Thank you, George"

"No problem Arnold"

"Hey George does your daughter has a boyfriend yet?" said Arnold joking and saw George has darkened "Why do you need to know?"

Arnold was now scared of his life" uh nothing just asking"

"Good morning dear," said Martha coming inside the shop after Arnold left "good morning"

"Sorry I overslept"

"It's ok besides I overslept too. Alex prepared breakfast before she left"

"Your daughter does that? while mine doesn't know how to boil water"

"Yeah that's my daughter for you" said George bragging

"Yeah yeah"laughed Martha

"What? she is a kind, loyal, brilliant, smart, oh I can go all day," said George smiling to himself

"Well just like you said she is your daughter after all," said Arnold laughing

-back to the company-

Because now Thomas doesn't have a secretary Peter asked Alexandra to find him one so.....

The 1st interview :

"Your file says you are fluent in German and English"

"Yes sir I am from Germany but I studied here in America so my English is also fluent"

"How about Chinese do you know that language?"

"No sir"

"Well I want a secretary that knows Chinese because I have plans to make a deal with a company from China in the future, you can go"

"So?" asked Alexandra

"I don't know Chinese"

"Chinese? why would he need that?"Alexa was confused

The 2nd interview:

"Sir I have studied Chinese and Japanese in Japan I don't think you will have any problem with me?"

"Very well you were born here right?"

"Yes sir"

"Well do you know French?"

"No, I don't sir"

"Well then there is the exit to my office you can go"

"Well how did it go?" asked Alexandra

"I don't French so I can't work with him"

Adrienne and Alexandra were confused and looked at each "French?"

The 3rd interview:

"It says you are from Britain"

"Yes sir but I have lived here since I was 12"

"I could never work with a British person please leave quickly"

(Author's note: no offense he just needs excuses, pls don't take this the wrong way)

"So?"

"I am from Britain so he could never work with me"

Both Alex and Adrienne were now getting irritated

The 4th interview:

"Your house is at Jersey?"

"Yes sir"

"But I want someone whose house is at New York"

"What now?" said Alex look at the women who just came out of Thomas's office

"My house isn't in NY"

"Ehh?" said both Alex and Adri

The excuses were getting more ridiculous

The 5th interview:

"Before we begin let me taste the coffee you made" and he took a sip

"Blah I never had a coffee as disgusting as this, girl you will never get a boyfriend let alone get married"

"So how did it go?" Said Alex she and Adrienne were looking straight into her eyes looking for hope but the girl started to cry and walked away and Adrienne and Alexandra for the 5th time today looked at each other....they were losing hope

Then Thomas came out of his office and walked to them and said "You can't find me a secretary that I need. I shouldn't be surprised I knew you aren't an ideal secretary Miss Faucette"

Alexandra just gave a death glare that could kill if it wasn't logically impossible then Thomas walked back to his office

"I am gonna kill him," said Alex starting to go to Thomas's office "Lexy please calm down," said Adrienne trying her best to hold her back

The 6th interview:

"Darling you don't have the degree for this job"

"But sir my degree is 97.98"

"I can see but I want someone who studied medical" and took a sip of the coffee 5 seconds later his stomach started to grumble and ran outside to go to the WC while Alex was holding her best to not laugh out loud, Adrienne noticed and asked, "what did you do?"

"I put some pills in his coffee"

"Girl you are scary"

"Thanks"

Seems like George forgot to add 'frightening' while describing his daughter

After Thomas came out of the washroom a random employee came up to him and said

"Sir, Mr. Wolcott wants you in his office"

"Alright"

When he walks into his father's office he saw that Alexandra was there too.

"Well sir may I be excused?" said Alexandra

"Of course"

"Thank you" and she went outside of the office she was curious as a cat so she eavesdropped.

"Alright, son what are you up to?"

"I am afraid I don't know what are talking about father?"

"What's with you turning down those people?"

"Well father I want a secretary that is hardworking and I just can't seem to find someone like that"

-on the other side of the door-

While Alex was eavesdropping she felt someone came behind her and saw.....
