Mind Game

- At a Local Inn -

A couple can be seen sitting in one of the many tables inside the inn, they're having a conversation with each other, accompanied by some foods and beverages.

"Mey, dont you think its a little too quite? Where is everyone?" - Norn

*chomp*

"I dont know Norn, maybe they're just lazy to come out?" - Meylinda

"I dont think that's the case.. Maybe the announcement about a Demon Lord's Arrival is true?" - Norn

"Gahh, what are you saying, a Demon Lord in this city? Dont you forget that we have a hero? Theres no way.." - Meylinda

"Hmm That's true, and if there were really a demon lord, the hero wouldn't stand still and will immediately rushed to the location.." - Norn

*Cling cling*

The bell in the front door made a sound, meaning that theres a new customer or someone that just came to the inn, Mey and Norn then stopped the conversation and turned their head to the front door, in there, theres a girl standing still, waiting to get inside, shes holding a little boy in one of her hands, as they looked at her beautiful face, their attention suddenly shifted to her clothes, is that.. Blood?

Her clothes are filled with blood stains, making both of them scared and hide.

The girl is carrying a scythe, and its too obvious to misinterpreted it as an adventurer, they both knew that this girl is the Demon Lord they just talked about a few minutes ago. And now that Demon Lord is standing right at their front door, not knowing what to do, both of them tried their best to hide and pray to the gods.

The girl then suddenly sighed and can be heard talking to someone, but Norn and Mey do not care, as long as they can get out of this situation alive, it'll already be a miracle for them.

Suddenly, Meylinda felt a touch on her shoulder, scared that it might be the Demon Lord, she didnt look back to see, she then heard a male voice behind her, and tried to turn around and see, it was the Hero.

Mey immediately felt relieved as she thinks that they just got saved, but then the Hero suddenly said that they both should serve the Demon Lord, since thats what she wants, the Hero then further stated that she will not kill or hurt anyone in this kingdom as long as they didnt bother her and just treat her like a normal being.

At first Mey and Norn refused to serve her, but after seeing her eyes glowing red and her expression that blatantly threaten them, they reluctantly agreed.

- 30 Minutes Ago -

...

"Agghh what the hell, i cant find a single shop or stall! Why is everyone scared of me, i already said that i wont kill anybody.."

The city is so goddamn quite, every person that i met either ran away or quickly get inside their house, that's really annoying..

I then had this brilliant idea.. Not really, to ask one of the adventurers in the entrance gate to guide me and to tell anyone if they met me that im harmless and asks them to treat me like a normal human.

Of course no one is willingly step up, so i tried to pick one randomly, but then out of nowhere, the Hero raised his hand and said to me that he will guide me.

That was very unexpected, i mean.. A hero and demon lord walking together and not fighting? Thats like the first time in history.

The hero then said to me if i was really serious about not hurting or killing anyone, i said yes. And he let out a sigh before telling me to follow him inside the city.

*step*

"Hey Hero, what's your name hm?"

"Ah.. Umm, my name is Kain" - Hero

"Kain? K-A-I-N? Not Cain or Cayn?"

"Y-yes, its Kain.." - Kain

"Hmm, what an interesting name.."

"T-thank you ahaha..." - Kain

"By the way, why are you saying this kingdom as City? is there another area that is owned by this kingdom?"

"Yes, there are many cities that are part of Colonia Kingdom, in total i think theres 4 cities.." - Kain

"Hmmm.. Okay"

I walked together with him for some time, looking at various stuff and some historical monuments, theres some people that are shocked to see the Hero walked together with a Demon Lord, its not that strange, of course they'd be shocked to see their Hero and Protector that was supposed to defeat evil now is being friendly to one of them.

"You dont need to feel that scared, like i said before, i wont harm anyone, and i also said to treat me like a normal human.."

"A- ah, sure.. Yes, i understand.." - Kain

"A- anyway, do you want to eat something?" - Kain

"I do actually, how do you know? Lets find something to eat.. But theres no food stall everywhere we go..."

"How about we go to a local inn? They also sell foods.."

"Thats a good idea, alright.."

Everything stopped moving, people, birds, voice, and sky.. It stopped, its like time has stopped, but i can still breathe and move freely, why? Thats because this place isn't real.

"Oh my.. an Alternative Space? And a replica of the entire kingdom at that.. You got some nice skills."

A dark human figure then appeared on the sky, it descended down to the ground before revealing its appearance, hes a.. Loli? Wait.. Are you serious?

He looks like a 11 Years Old boy wearing some edgy emo clothes and accessories, to be honest it looks so cringe instead of threatening

*Gasp*

"No.. You dont fucking tell me.."

"You're more than a thousand years old?"

I rolled my body to the floor, while also trying my best to understand the situation..

The Alternate World broke and everything went back to normal.

"What did you just say?" - Kain

"AAHHH!! LET ME GOOO!!! DONT YOU KNOW WHO I AM!!" - ???

Kain looked at me and shocked to see that i suddenly grabbed a child, He then pulls out his sword and get ready to fight, i think he misunderstood something.

"Wait.."

I grabbed the tip of his sword and tell him to stop, i dont want him to misunderstood about this, so i explained all of the things that just happened a moment ago.

"This child is capable to create something like that?.. And you just broke that space like its the easiest thing to do.." - Kain

"I dont really believe it.. How can this little thing.." - Kain

"But who is he though? All he said up until this point is just to let him go.." - Kain

"He.. I dont know hahaha, i forgot to ask his name.."

"UGGHHH LET ME GO!! IM THE STRONGEST CREATURE IN THIS PLANET!!" - ???

I closed his mouth since hes too loud, my ears feels like its about to bleed, well.. It wont gonna happen, but lets just pretend it feels that way. We decided to continue walking to the inn.

Along our way, Kain talked about a lot of things, like how he was able to become a hero, how the kingdom treats him like a saviour, how hes able to hold the Holy Sword, and many more.

I can see that hes now less scared infront of me, his word also doesnt stutter anymore, i wonder what made him lower his guard like that infront of a demon lord.

- A Few Minutes Later -

"Heres the place! What do you think?" - Kain

"Not bad.."

I quickly open the door to see the inside of the inn, its similar to how i was imagined it, the first floor as a place to eat foods and talk to everyone else, and the second floor as a place for adventurers to sleep.. Its all the same.

Well, the inn owner's reaction certainly wasn't the same.

They got scared by my appearance, uhh.. They quickly hide from my sight and doesnt come out, i guess i should really change my clothes, but they should've atleast saw Kain right? Why are they still scared..

"Kain, Can you calm them down?"

"Uhh.. Alright." - Kain

"MMMFFFFHHH MMFFFFGGHHHH!!!????!!" - ???

Kain approached them, at first they seem happy to see their hero, but when Kain said they have to serve me, their face expression went on a 180 degrees rotation..

It took a while but they finally agreed to serve me some food, i already told them to not be scared, but it doesnt seem to work.. I can see their hands shaking.

"Stop Talking so loud or else im gonna karate chop that head of yours."

Everyone in the room went silent, and after a while, it was interrupted by the foods being served on the table. Its Meat!
